Just insane to imagine how much torque these things have that they lift the steers off the ground!
I'm not sure, but I think they're starting off in a higher gear, and slipping the clutch. No big deal if you burn a clutch if you win the race.
@@SternDriveJust imagine the enormous stress the transmission is going through. Trucks are not designed for drag racing, which makes these videos hilarious. This 20 second drag races probably just took of like 6 months of serviceability out of those trucks between maintenance.

там лимит на мощность отсутствует .и 600 и 1000 и 1100 лошадиных сил. А что касаемо Глайдеров (Шасси с двигателем без номера) там вообще по.... Только объём под капотом лимитирует размеры двигателя. Самое жёсткое правило это вес . до 25 тысяч фунтов или до 12 Тонн

@@mobizone8 там дело не в оборотах а в крутящем моменте,не все коробки передач смогут его пережевать, рвут сцепление коробка передач на раме жёстко ,а двигатель на подушках

i was curious whether these fellas were racing their "daily drivers"? how many keep a racing truck?
Not with a turbo snorkel coming out of the hood.
Also, not a chance. Any owner op knows the fuel economy would be dead after all those mods. Not worth hauling with at that point.
@jaybomb5022 not sure but I think they have different settings for ECU. Just turn the knob on the dash for daily eco mode or turn it all the way up for frame twisting.
@@CrackheadBeaver That snorkel usually means his intake is custom w/o filter for racing purposes. Nobody is hauling w/o filtration you'll gunk up the motor super quick.
@@jaybomb5022 I know yes but not all of them have snorkels. More stock looking ones can do daily 800 - 1000hp pulling logs for example and on a race day the dial it up to 2000. I'm not 100% sure of course but it could be like that🙂

It's scary standing between two top fuels as they launch, but then add 10 feet in height, and 30,000 pounds of mass, and I don't think I would ever want to find myself there.

I'd like to see a race like that but between one of those trucks and one european (Scania, Volvo, Mercedes, Renault, Daf, MAN, ...)
Most European trucks wouldn't have a chance, but there are Scania trucks with V8s, but they're not that common. Most European trucks haul lighter loads and therefore have smaller engines. But it sure would be fun to watch them get left in the dust, umm, I mean smoke.

I love when a single pipe truck beats a dual exhaust one idk why
I will tell you why. All modern North American trucks run inline 6 cylinder engines. V 6s and V 8s are very rare here now. All of these exhausts are phony split exhausts. Looks cool, but has nothing to do with power. Us truckers just like to look cool to impress the girls.

In fact we Brits use both words, according to the meaning required. WHILE means ‘at the same time as…’, whilst WHILST means ‘whereas’. Not everybody observes the distinction but most educated people know the difference. Unfortunately not everybody does!
