I think it’s a lot simpler than you’re making it out to be. You even say so yourself that you prefer her in sleeker, more streamlined outfits and straighter hair… and I think it’s because she’s in the dramatic (sharpened) family. Which is the general consensus on her typing… her essence comes into colours and accessories- but overall she’s flattered by the suggestions of the dramatic

While Anya has heaps of ethereal, she also has strong ingenue, some gamine and maybe even some smal dramatic in terms of essence.

Everything dramatic suits her more: slick hair, slick dresses, minimal detail, long lines
For some reason I find myself disagreeing about the photo around 13:55. I see a little ingenue essence in her features as well and I think the soft, wavy, weightless hair kinda brings that out. The neckline of the dress is wonderful on her for her wide bone structure and if she wore it in a lighter color it would look even better bc the black is pretty harsh. I do agree she looks best in the black and white photo look, though.
She does have some intense ingenue. She has very wide set eyes which are very rounded, pointy cupid bows.Its also why the headband works so well .

I really enjoyed this! When I first saw her I immediately thought she looks so much like model Tanya Dziahileva but softer. Tanya is incredible and unique with her distinctive alien like beauty. I see in both the futuristic coolness.
Ana would suit 90s Thierry Mugler aesthetic from the hair, make up to the clothing. The complete look. She would nail it! However I see amphibious vibe that would work with maybe a change of hair colour say a brunette. The make up, clothing, colouring and texture from say exotic frogs from nature interpreted into design and colour scheme. Her eyes being the primary focus to enhance.
This futuristic look about her made her the perfect casting as Alia Atreides in the second Dune film. Can’t wait to see more of her in that!
I personally don't think her face suits the bloodline. Both Jessica and Paul have angular faces and smaller eyes, I just feel she looks too far away from their general face shapes and proportions

The all-over blonde looks off to me. In the one photo you like in the cheetah print, you can at least see some of her natural color at the root. Still, though, it looks like she's dressing to match a hair color which really doesn't work for her. Maybe if she let more of her natural hair color come in, the better colors for her to wear would be more apparent to her. I almost want to say she's trying to pull off looks that would work for Claudia Schiffer, but the looks are not working for her. Maybe I'm wrong.
I agree. I wish Merriam had touched on her look in Queen's Gambit because I didn't know anything about Anya until I watched that show and thought she looked amazing in the short coppery vintage wavy hair and certain vintage outfits, and when I looked her up after watching it, I was very taken aback by the stark-looking long and sleek platinum hair and the long stiff clothing.
My first reaction was that she looked super washed out and weighed down by the long hair, and that it came across as if she was trying to set herself apart by making the futuristic/ethereal look happen as opposed to it being natural to her (which is actually true considering how she had procedures done to make her eyes bigger).
After seeing her like that a few times, I got used to it and actually think she looks amazing in some looks (like the leopard print look and the one with the microphone). But is the sleek blonde hair and long clothing really her best look? idk about that. It would be cool if Merriam revisited Anya and looked into her pictures with a darker hair color and other outfits.

Do you think she is an underweight soft dramatic? 🤔 or maybe a natural Kibbe type?
Just my opinion, but I don’t think she’s SD because her neck and jaw are so very narrow. In my experience, even the most underweight SD will have some flesh-iness in those areas no matter what. But I feel like she’s almost a hybrid between D and FN. Such a beauty!
I don’t see any world in which she could be an SD.
It was just an opinion I saw on another page but it doesn’t sound like she thinks that’s she a dramatic 🤔 I hope Kibbe will type her sometime

Also it's interesting that symmetry suits ger so well if a FN? Is she not a SD perhaps or D? She is 5ft 8 which isnt VERY tall, but she seems very tall. Sometimes she is listed as 5ft6.5, 5ft 7"...
She seems to suit symmetry and narrow.
She is very beautiful for sure, ethereal but also strong. She looked incredible at the Oscars.
That's just what happens when cool and delicate wears a color that's too bright. they look gray. that pink is just too bright. Anya could be someone who changes skin undertone because of how light she is. I talk about that in my lightest skin tones video. This may be a part of why there's a lot of feed back that's all over the place in terms of her undertone.
Wow, so interesting!!! ❤ Her essence is pretty close to Hunter Schafer, with the exception of Hunter being a muted warm skin tone, no? They look both a bit futuristic.
