I watched a section of one of his speeches and thought, "I can see his points," but quickly realised "wait a minute, what's with this rampant rhetoric?" that's when I actually fact checked what he said, and he list all credibility with me.
But even with that, the media doesn't get the premise, "energy flows where attention goes," so they gave him millions worth of free public relations and branding rather than focusing on and reporting what matters.

This distraction strategy has been used for ages, and nowhere is it more blantant than in South America. If you wish to find examples, check out President Correa from Ecuador, or even the ridiculousness of late President Chavez from Venezuela. Whenever bad news, or a new controversial policy was announced, suddenly a scandal would erupt elsewhere, distract the masses, and said bad news or policy would be forgotten.
I would call it impressive, were it not for the people that have to endure such governments, and I am sad for the US, as Trump is most likely going to do this even better.

Well during the Vietnam war, there was actually some legitimacy to it. I won't say it was a majority of protesters, but a noticeable amount truly were anti-troops. They spit on them and called them baby killers. Which is truly insane considering many were drafted so they had no choice other than fleeing the country or going to jail.

I was in marching band in high school, and one of the staff told this story that I feel is relevant to this video. You're sitting in a theatre for a performance. On stage are the best-looking, most skilled dancers in the world. It's amazing. But then a little red ball rolls across the stage, and as long as the ball is on stage, that's all you can focus on because it's different. It doesn't look or move like anything else on stage, and you can't look away.

Hey everyone, I just want to have a discussion about flag burning. If you support it - why? If you don't - why? As US law stands, flag burning is perfectly legal, but I wanna know why you would want to. I am personally against protest flag burning, but I really want to see the other side of things here. What does burning a flag mean to you? Is it a meaningful action, or simply a release of emotion?
The reason I disagree with burning a flag out of protest is that I feel it to be disrespectful to the symbolism the flag represents. Traditionally a flag is only burned once it becomes too marred and tattered, deluding the imagery of our flag. When flags are burned in protest, it seems like an unnatural demise of that flag's message.
I do, however, support a person's right to burn it even if I don't like the way they do it. It is still supported by the 1st Amendment and I wholeheartedly respect that. I'm not going to bitch and moan on Twitter about jail sentences and revoking citizenship.
So what do ya'll think?
Should we be mad about flag burning like Trump is in 2016?
Should flag burning be a criminal offense, like what Hillary Clinton wanted in 2005?

JaredOnYT you already stated it yourself, that it's perfectly legal due to being seen as freedom of symbols, and I see it as that. some people feel very strongly about certain things, and may even feel like burning a flag, desecrating what so many hold dear to their hearts and hold high in the sky, is the only way to convey the extent of the emotions they feel.
The flag is just a piece of fabric. But to people it's more than that. And so when you burn something people value, it gets attention. That's what the protesters want: attention and to be heard.
Well, similar to the middle finger, it gets people mad, very mad. Because its a huge sign of disrespect, and a threat. It gives stupid groups like ISIS and NAZIS something to do, to encourage their slaves, like how troops say "HURRAH" or raise their fists. A sign of aggression, war.
If people burn a flag, big deal! It's just an effing flag. Same as the swearing allegiance to it. Just dumb. Swearing allegiance to a piece of fabric - how silly! Swearing allegiance to your country is wonderful, but the flag?? Gimme a break. To answer your question: It's not a big deal, really.

I am so happy you used the David Blaine trick from Fallon. That is literally the only time in my life I've ever been able to spot the tell in a professional magician's trick. I was very proud of myself a couple weeks ago when that aired. Then I was promptly stumped by the rest of the tricks.

I agree that Trump, as well as other politicians and the media, uses these tactics all the time (for both left- and right-wing topics), but Trump's statement about millions voting illegally isn't necessarily a false one. Whether you agree with the current voter ID rules or not, you can't deny that they are pretty lenient. It would have been very easy for illegal immigrants to vote, and so it's completely illogical for you to rule out the possibility of this happening on a large scale, especially since one of the main concerns about the election was immigration policies. The controversy in Trump's tweet isn't whether you think his statement is true (it's very likely that it is true) but whether you think illegal immigrants should be allowed to vote. I myself have no opinion on the matter of voting or immigration, I'm just trying to provoke discussion. I agree with the core message of this video, but it too is guilty of "changing the question".
