My friend (the one in the video) ride without a new ECU. I had the same bike and I didn't have any new ECU... and the bike worked exactly the same. 90 % of the people drive without new ECU, when they put a new exhaust system. It is best to ask in a forum that there are people who understand. I'm sorry for not being able to help you more...
ECU needs re mapping after full system. its about, fuel and air intake. if you ride without ECU mapping, your engine will lose power, and you can see flame from exhaust, because your fuel not burning normally. srry for my bad english.
Especially on modern bikes, this is a problem to look out for. A slip-on exhaust is never a problem, however a full system includes either a modified Catalytic converter, or it doesnt have one at all. If thats the case then your engine is at risk of running a too rich fuel mixture, resulting in sometimes a severe power loss. If your bikes ECU is not smart enough to equal the mixure out, then reliability will be reduced. If you wanna go all out, do it properly. Full System, power commander and a sports air filter will transform your bike into a whole new beast while remaining reliable👍🏼
