Potter will surprise people. It didn't work out at Chelsea for obvious reasons, a completely bloated squad where some players had no locker, having to split the squad into two teams to train separately, no manager would have succeeded in those conditions at Chelsea. And arguably De Zerbi's success is on the back of Graham Potter's foundational work at Brighton. The fact that he's turning down teams like Ajax means he's very confident in his ability and I think will show it if given the chance over a few seasons. Liverpool would have been the better option as they would have given him time but United could definitely do worse than Potter but I fear he'll only have the job until an elite manager becomes available

Complete recency bias. The amount of injuries has played a large part in such inconsistency amongst other issues, but to say next season United would be fighting for top 10 is ridiculous. They’re looking at next season, not this. They only fell out of the top 4 race a couple of weeks ago, and now next to no first team defence. It’s your comment thats laughable not his with such clouded judgement due to bias

  • @abelovedsonofGodinwhomHeis35-6

Potter is not the man to get United back to the top, but he might the man needed to get them to the next stage to takes the steps needed to get ready for the manager that can get them back to the top, different managers have different skills and abilities, maybe the manager who would United back on top is not the one to get them positioned for that.

    • @connixia1223
      @connixia1223 Pƙed 22 dny

Agreed. Throughout the majority of his career its been about his ability to build, improving players and taking clubs to different levels. He could be the man Utd need to build kind of similar to Poch at Chelsea. If he ends up being the guy that takes Utd back to the days of old then that would be a terrific feat but right now I don't think Utd are that much above him.

I think Potter is the perfect choice, but to make it successful, he would need to clear out the anti authority egos such as Rashford and Anthony. I would actually bring back Sancho and see if Potter can win him over. I think as long as they clear out players who have little respect for management you'd do well with potter. I think in Chelsea Potter had a thankless job with the ego's involved. In future he almost needs another club that is lower down on the ego scale. So maybe, maybe manu is not for him at the moment.

Back ETH over the summer, clear out the deadwood (finally) and head in to next season with everyone ont he same page. If next season doesnt work out, his contract is up and it’s time for someone new. That was what Spurs got wrong. Not knowing when to let Poch go and get a manager like Ancelotti to take them to the finish line. @jamieyoung271
It’s not about being the “best team.” It’s about their global fan bases. United have a massive global fan base because they were wildly successful when the Premier League was exploding in the 90’s and 2000’s to a global audience with television rights skyrocketing worldwide. That’s what it’s really about. And they still have that global legacy fan base.

    graham potter to UNITED?
    đŸ€ŁđŸ€ŁđŸ€ŁđŸ€ŁđŸ€ŁđŸ€ŁđŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł
he is like FRANK DE BOER-his time at CHELSEA was SUCCESS all time
UNITED needs a BOSS as ZIDANE or MOURINHO
POTTER or TEN HAG-the same style
you cannot manage a club as UNITED like a busdriver or a tourist
it is impossible and you can see this.
after SIR ALEX,only VAN GAAL and MOURINHO were a manager at UNITED
solksjaer, rangnick or ten hag are like rene meulensteen or steve mcclaren-assistants or managers for brann bergen, austrian national team or ajax amsterdam.
UNITED is dead.when they do not bring a man like ZIDANE for example to OLD TRAFFORD,the players will always play how they want.
because the players are either bad or they do not have one single per cent respect and character to understand that UNITED is not QPR-HAPOEL TEL AVIV or MALMÖ FF!!!
ten hag is an insult for management at UNITED-only STEVE BRUCE-ROY KEANE or GARY NEVILLE are worse than this gardener who has a charisma of an UMBRELLA.
