He doesnât have the courage of his convictions to square that particular circle!!
Stop being vacuous with your whataboutisms

why do they continue to employ Alex Crook?
The Crook is actually stealing a living
He is bloody awful

West ham should have gone for him instead of lopetegui
Good shout
I thought that West Ham was the ideal club for him considering it's a step down from Chelsea but a step up from Brighton.
Imagine being Potter and turning down a team like Ajax over money when you managed to take a team that had just won a Champions League and having a 38.71% win rate before being sacked 7 months into the role.
Kind of nuts when you think about it unless he's on a promise somewhere.
He didn't turn it down for money. He couldn't cut it at Chelsea and wants Man Utd?. This English media are ridiculous
He absolutely buckled under the pressure at Chelsea, how could he possibly cope at United?
He should've never left Brighton. He ruined his own career in a sense.
Are you saying he wonât get a better job than Brighton ever again đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Itâs called Male Ambition mateâŠit comes with a downside risk but thatâs the name of the gameâŠ
Not taking a chance in career shows a lack of ambition in your overall psyche
If you're offered Chelsea you take it even if you fail. Not even trying is weak af. Maybe he was rubbish but at least he had the guts to try.
If a manager or anyone in life refuses the evolution in their industry soon theyâll be toast as word gets round their a bottle merchant
You lose entire respect of everyone

Sorry but Ten Hag is 10x better for squad building than all those rumours abt managers. He got us to a fa cuo final. Other managers would cry -.- Back Ten Hag
Getting southgate over potter would be hilariousđđđđđđ
xD yea i rather get Potter
Surprised Jim White would even speak to Alex Crook when he's working from home. He's clearly skiving, Jim đ
Sorry lazy. Cry harder.
Offer Leverkusen 100m for Alonso they canât turn that down then you have the best young manager on the planet itâs cheap considering united paid 85 m For Antony who actually did nothing since he signed
Going to Man U is like moving to Saudi Arabia, Alonso would rather do something relevant.
Deep down, United fans know its going to be either Southgate or Potter. The new owners love them and there are too many rumours about it. No smoke without fire.
Baffled how everyone has turned on Potter after Chelsea, it was an impossible job. Before then he was one of the best up and coming managers in Europe.
Yup. Chelsea have been worse since he left, so he was clearly wasn't the problem.
But you are advocating for him to get an even more impossible job? If you are calling the job at Chelsea impossible, what do you think the job at United is?
@@Galloway8786 have they?
@Galloway8786
Thatâs not statistically correct. Chelsea have actually been much better since Potter left. People forget Chelsea not only had only 44 points last season but they won 10 points under Tuchel in the first 6 matches. Chelsea are already up to 54 points this season with 3 matches remaining. Chelsea have actually improved under Poch this season.
He was exposed as a yes man at Chelsea. Noone wants that.
Problem is other than Potter the vast majority of time the big English clubs are obsessed with looking abroad for their managers. United should be in for dyche. The job he did at Burnley and now Everton is brilliant. But he's not fashionable so will never get a look in.
Dyche will do great things at Everton. A great club that suits Sean dyche. Leave him be
đ€Ł
Exactly england needs to limit coaches from swarth countries the same way they limit foreign managers in their swarth leagues.
They donât employ English managers because English people are barely literate and are forever hanging around kids for some reason
Dyche is a relegation survival specialist. He knows how to "not lose", that doesnt necessarily qualify him for a "big job"
What's the point in this guy Crook?
Company man
his name doesn't lie
Putting the word 'cope' in capital letters..? đ I honestly think the Talksport social media guy just doesn't give a f**k and is constantly high.
AGREED.
Potter will surprise people. It didn't work out at Chelsea for obvious reasons, a completely bloated squad where some players had no locker, having to split the squad into two teams to train separately, no manager would have succeeded in those conditions at Chelsea. And arguably De Zerbi's success is on the back of Graham Potter's foundational work at Brighton. The fact that he's turning down teams like Ajax means he's very confident in his ability and I think will show it if given the chance over a few seasons. Liverpool would have been the better option as they would have given him time but United could definitely do worse than Potter but I fear he'll only have the job until an elite manager becomes available
I actually think that he will also surprise people. He's waiting for either England or Utd hence why he keeps turning down other opportunities. He's definitely being lined up for something.
Ancelotti đđđđđđđđđđđđ dream on ⊠you are looking to stay in the top half đđđđđđđđ
Dream on, dream on, dream ooooooon đđđđđđđđđ.
You are 100% right.
They make us laugh
Complete recency bias. The amount of injuries has played a large part in such inconsistency amongst other issues, but to say next season United would be fighting for top 10 is ridiculous. Theyâre looking at next season, not this. They only fell out of the top 4 race a couple of weeks ago, and now next to no first team defence. Itâs your comment thats laughable not his with such clouded judgement due to bias
Potter is not the man to get United back to the top, but he might the man needed to get them to the next stage to takes the steps needed to get ready for the manager that can get them back to the top, different managers have different skills and abilities, maybe the manager who would United back on top is not the one to get them positioned for that.
Agreed. Throughout the majority of his career its been about his ability to build, improving players and taking clubs to different levels. He could be the man Utd need to build kind of similar to Poch at Chelsea. If he ends up being the guy that takes Utd back to the days of old then that would be a terrific feat but right now I don't think Utd are that much above him.
@@connixia1223 Poch is considered and imo i think is a top manager compared to Potter so u cant compare these 2
I think with Potters career climb he has more resilience than most managers. The thing is that Man Utd is a poison chalice and following up Chelsea with Man Utd would be career suicide.
How would Jordan know!
Iâd have Potter over Southgate or Tuchel.
Potter and Southgate would crumble to dust at Manchester United.
I think Potter is the perfect choice, but to make it successful, he would need to clear out the anti authority egos such as Rashford and Anthony. I would actually bring back Sancho and see if Potter can win him over. I think as long as they clear out players who have little respect for management you'd do well with potter. I think in Chelsea Potter had a thankless job with the ego's involved. In future he almost needs another club that is lower down on the ego scale. So maybe, maybe manu is not for him at the moment.
I don't think it was his fault he failed at chelsea
Get Andy Mitten on here
Why? Nice guy but very dull.
i like the way simon says potter with his voice when he's got a cold
ETH OUT JOSE IN
I think managing a club as big as United isn't really a good barometer. Their are a few managers that jumped into the deep end and swam. The issue with Potter is that he has had a chance at a very big club, and it didn't work for him.
Maybe we should just go for Ashworths wife if a relatioship is the deciding factor lol
Potter has worked well with Ashworth. Sounds like a good bet for Utd Poisoned chalice working with Boely at Chelsea. Crazy amount of new players brought in. No chance for Potter to asimilate all of them in the time he had. I really don't think he failed.
The safest thing for the club to do right now is to give Ten Hag another season. Any move right now is full of risk; they cant afford to get another manager wrong. Back ETH over the summer, clear out the deadwood (finally) and head in to next season with everyone ont he same page. If next season doesnt work out, his contract is up and itâs time for someone new. Way too risky to sack him and to take a much bigger gamble with people like Potter, Southgate, or even Tuchel IMO
Yeah back the manager some more. Heâs bought a cb that canât ride the nemesis inferno. A keeper that canât catch a ball and a winger who canât beat a man.
Yep,MUFC cant afford to sack him & cant afford to back him ! đ
Final season sack amount is 12 mill what you talking about lol
â@@Boxinghotspur57 while i do agree with most of the signings being bad but lisandro is definitely not a bad signing and with the defence he had to work with we can't call onana a bad signing either.
@@Boxinghotspur57 Iâd stick to following mandatory title challengers and leaving football alone. You know nothing about the sport.
No one understands what Potter did at Ăstersund, and the achievement at Brighton was off the charts - look at how they are doing now. Chelsea was and still is a train wreck, as are MUFC. The Red Devils are 8th⊠take your medicine: you would be lucky if Potter looked twice at you!!!

My criticism to my fellow united fans.
They criticise everything ancelotti stands for but they want him or they won't mind him managing us.
They criticise his reliance on individual brilliance and defensive approach.

Don Carlo wouldn't want to leave the biggest club in the world on the verge of yet another European cup
United need to forget about the best managers at the moment. They need a manager that can work with certain type of players so they can achieve 3rd to 5th place and set foundations.
Then they can go get an elite manager when they get better players to add on to the 3rd-5th placed team, only then will they achieve consistency to challenge at the top.
Brilliant point. That is why when people talk about Zidane and Ancelotti, I shake my head. These guys are not known for building teams from scratch like say Pep or Klopp. We need someone who can do what Poch did at Spurs, then know when to make the switch to a Zidane or Ancelotti. That was what Spurs got wrong. Not knowing when to let Poch go and get a manager like Ancelotti to take them to the finish line. As harsh as it may feel to do that to Poch at the time, they should have done it.
why do people pay crook to read the news and relay it? easiest job in the world
Potter did a half decent job at Brighton and then failed at ChelseaâŠâŠ.baffles me why heâs suddenly rated as a great coach!
You're forgetting his club before Brighton. He's a good coach and will do well with the right club.
Dyche is a perfect fit for the mid table man utd
Potboy is cool
I think Potter got short changed by Chelsea & the media!
I think he is a good manager if given backing and time
What is time and patience? ETH is just 18 months and people are calling for his head
Why in the world do united need to be possession based what because arsenal and city are?
Anyone suggesting Potter is out of their mind.
Mourinho is the only manager capable of rejuvenating United!
Potter would be eaten alive by Unitedâs squad. Theyâd need to sell 80% of the players and bring youth in from the academy and elsewhere, accepting mid table for 3 or 4 years for his management style to eventually work and have them challenging.
And no big traditional big club will ever give that to him.
Heâd be ideal for Ajax and their system based approach and heâs off his head turning them down.
What manager does?
4:47 the same champions league where united finished dead last in group and bayern finished top?
what kind of dumb logic is that. ain't many can beat madrid
I would rather have him then lopetegui at West Ham
Big ange can be as pissed at the fan base as he wants but if HIS team didnt lose the last 5 out of 6 games and put the fans in this postion then we would never of wanted are team to lose last night .. THIS IS ON YOUR TEAM AND YOU ANGE FOR PUTTING US IN THAT POSTION how about not losing 5 out of six matches in the business end of the season ..
Didnât Simon go through 11 mangers in 12 years . I donât think he knows what a good Manager is tbf
Whatâs gareth southgate done to warrant the United job??!
for me hes as bad as graham potter if not worse
Klopp might take Utd....he enjoys a good project....
United players and fans would have fun with Harry Potter it would be hilarious.
Hansi Flick is the only choice
Man Utd biggest club on the planet???? Real Madrid, Man City, Bayern Munich, Barcelona etc would argue that statement
Whereas the previous incumbents did.
Hes mad to turn down Ajax. He won't get a bigger club atm he needs to rebuild credit. Can only assume England job.
Just like he didnât have the resilience to run Crystal palace
As a Yanited fan I can confidently speak for the entire fanbase and say we want SOUTHGATE!!!
Potter couldn't do with Chelsea how can do it with a bad Manchester United side
Baffles me how Manchester United are labelled the best team on the planet over Real Madrid
@jamieyoung271
Itâs not about being the âbest team.â Itâs about their global fan bases. United have a massive global fan base because they were wildly successful when the Premier League was exploding in the 90âs and 2000âs to a global audience with television rights skyrocketing worldwide. Thatâs what itâs really about. And they still have that global legacy fan base.
De Zerbi again âŠ, just donât get it ⊠lost nearly every game 4-0 and 5-0
I actually think Thomas Frank would be a good fit at Man Utd ...
Based on what logic?
â@loudmouthdiaries5188 actual watching the game logic

Amorim is not going anywhere. Heâs already publicly announced heâs 100% staying at Sporting next season. People like Crooks need to categorically cross him off prospective manager lists. Heâs not leaving Portugal for at least another year.

Why English Managers get overhyped and airtime is beyond me. Potter, Southgate, Howe, Big Sam etc... are just overrated and would never get the airtime if they were non English.
