As a meg main I’m loving the stam regen in water. They’re basically a mini sarco at this point. I do miss the tail attack and thick scales on them though.
If anything I'm more confused on why they removed megs tail I hope they eventually give it a wind up or charged tail attack to kinda mimic today's monitor lizards

I think it was a good change because it makes the Sarco more of a specialist now and easier to kill if they fuck up badly. Specialists are good for the game as long as they are balanced well. It's why I love the changes to the Laten making it a night hunter.
A friend of mine did some testing and apparently there is headshot damage, just not for a few creatures, that being Rex, Sarco and Ceratopsians. Also, if you surface while charging up a bite you'll be stuck on the surface until you drop the bite.

I play nodded servers and I play as a deino most of the time so i really didnt experience much change but i played as some other stuff and the new models look nice
I honestly think megalania would be awesome with a charged tail whip, its a classic for most goannas (and of course komodo dragons). Not sure where it would stand in terms of the balance the devs are looking for, it would just be neat to be able to hold the classic 'tail threat' posture ingame haha.
there is no headshots on sarco yes but ive done tests on allosaurus and did one body hit a tail hit and a head hit all on a baby that i healed back to full and the baby took 50% on body 25% on tail and 100% on head
Thx for your Video. There are cool Infos. Sadly I have to say the swim animations from The Isle with Deinosuchus feels more immersive then in Path of Titans. I have never seen a crocodile swim backwards or sideway. I Was glad that they changed the running Animation, which looks more realistic. Hope they will change the splashing when sarco swimms at the surface.
Ive found that crushing bite/ regular bite work best w defense sarco, if its something small enough, no need to charge bite ambush it, just 2shot it w regular bite, and regular bite out DPS ripping bite if u fight another sarco edit: ive also notised when ur charging a crushing bite on surface u cannot dive
I really want to use crushing bite but the slow wind leaves you vulnerable against smaller and faster opponents and using claws severely limits your range especially against those smaller and faster opponents. For the time being I think I’m going to stick with the regular bite and try to play smarter
Sarco has always been the aquatic Apex and still is. The only time that Dinos confidently engage the Sarcosuchus while it's in its element is when they can outnumber it. Rex, Trike, Spino, Sucho, Megalania...none of them can consistently match what the Sarco is capable of. The Charge bite from the Sarcosuchus is the heaviest hitting attack in the entire game at 210 damage. Combined with the Ambush ability (200% damage increase), that's 3x damage...which is 630 base damage. Add a headshot multiplier to the mix and you can one-shot anything at the Sarco's combat weight or below. While Dinosaurs like the Spinosaurus have more health and having higher overall dps, their maneuverability is less than half of what the Sarco has...meaning the Sarco can dance circles around the Spino despite it having a higher top-speed in the water. On land the difference is even worse, making it virtually impossible for the spino to turn around fast enough to keep a Sarco from kiting it's back-side. Sarcosuchus is still the water king.
I have a problem with my sarco, the lounge rubberbans each time I use it, you might say its a ping issue however my ping is fine. My sarco also with the one seen in this video, the stam for some reason will stop recharging at random points, I’m not sure if this is a bug or a mechanic. Lastly my sarcos bites have been broken aswell, when I nom sometimes it just “locks” and although it says I can use attacks it will not let me for awhile
for the dasp they took away its bone snap ability and just gave it a super high damage attack with the same animation. they gave it tough scales and made it faster. the leg ability gives it better turning at the cost of stam regen and the made its normal bite cooldown longer. most of this i can see as being good but with its slow attack speed i dont see myself playing it as much anymore.
Personally I just spent a few hours as Dasp. I HATED how slow the Dasp now is by having the bone break attached.. Removed it, bought that charged bite instead and so far I'm loving Dasp again. Just a shame the main use for it for me (the break) has made it too slow😅

Ye charged bite does bone break still but the shorter bone break from before does high damage instead now, I think it’s just harder to read how people are saying this cuz texting is weird lol
Where you using streamline hide when fighting the sarcos in the water as spino? Or did you use the tough scutes. I am someone who wants to keep maiming spino and I am now wondering whether it will be better to use tough scutes or streamlined now that the defense option has no more speed penalty

Well, the 2x ambush damage didn't last long...the ptb already has it nerfed to 1.5x the damage but you will be able to immediately do the normal bite right after a crushing bite. But no health buff, so...thoughts Xyph? What do you think about the incoming nerf to ambush and the buff to bite cd but no health increase?
Surprised you didn't cover the Ceratosaurus. Got rid of bine break and added a charge up bite that deals extra damage. I hated Ceratosaurus before but now it's really fun and I don't always die.
Still has good damage though, its whole playstyle is more like a glass canon now which leaves it more vulnerable in land but much better underwater (as it should be)

To be honest I would say Spino is now better than sarco like don’t get me wrong. Sarco is still a great dino and all but I find myself pushing it further to grow as I like to grow dinos in order of strongest, funnest and what dinos my friends play (we like to be like 5 of the same donors at ic or like sll). Sarco is fun and still awesome to play but you health melts away so quickly and you die so much more easier. When I okay death match servers I find myself in a great Spino vs sarco fight. When I am sarco I get the Spino soo low just to die to a tail hit as I am also low. Like if I had MORE HEALTH that would never happen. And when I play spinos I kill sarco a lot easier 2 fully charged Spino bites kills a sarco. Sarco is still good but no where near as good as before the nerf.
The amount of people playing sarcos since this became a thing is insane. Not only are there more crocodiles in the water now than before but this ability to one-shot and nearly one-shot things is so absurd and awfully stupid of a mechanic I am surprised it got past QA and testing
@@XyphtheSarcoGuy no when people use lunge it's usual in water to turn back. If you are using gator dash after you come charging out the water and deal lots of damage to them and they start to run away you can use gator dash to catch up to them that was a problem with most people who played sucho that when they was on land they are faster than you. I watch some youtubers play it when they are trying to chase down things but couldn't catch it and was out of stamina so at that point there just waiting for the other dinosaur to run out of stam too but, with the dash you could just use that to chase things more better on land or at least I think, because that way sense your about run out of stamina anyway might as well use it for chase then keep biting it. But if I see a youtuber use it like that then I think that's what it could be made for that also I really just probably typed all this out for no reason lol 😂. Edit: I hope you at least understand some what about what I'm trying to say.
On paper no it wont get one shot. It might survive with very little hp left. But sarco's ambush seems to be getting nerfed in ptb from x2 to x1.5 dmg multiplier

I survived with my Sarco for 5 minutes against 4 sarcosuchus + 1 deinocheirus + spinosaurus, 6 VS 1, every time they came out of the water to recover life and attack again, on land there were several land dinosaurs. And you can't kill 1 deinocheirus, you're horrible.
Heres my experience, sarco isnt very good, at least on community servers, deinosuchus and megalania absolutely destroy them, sarcos cant facetank megas unless they have the normal bite, and that wont save you because it only takes around 7 to kill an adult mega. Deinosuchus are much better too, they are faster on land and can bb in the water making escape almost impossible. But sarcos charge bute is much more effective. Dasp and allo are much better and alio is better than what it used to be. The only dino that got an actual buff was megalania, which now dominates land and sea
@@Silc_0 that's pretty rude ngl, I'm not bad either, I've killed rexes spinos ducks and basically everything as sarco, it's my main "dino". Community servers aren't bad either, but yes it's probably best to avoid them as of now.

In the water you are much more vulnerable to spinos and ducks, also another sarco can oneshot you. On land it is almost useless, with its low stamina you cannot chase preys that are bleeding to death. Also, with its low health they can destroy you in a moment. They have messed it up with the sarco, it was better before
We need 3rd apex carni and suprisingly not alot of people agree with me cuz they always reply with "🤓 WeLl AcTuAlLy ThErEs No RoLe AnD pLaCe FoR a 3rD aPeX aNd It WhOuLd DeStRoY tHe BaLaNcE🤓" and yes they usually bring up somewhat good reasons but PoT is the kind of game that is easy to balance and i want a 3rd apex carni cuz really bro only 2 i want more options and variety only having rex and spino is bland and boring af

FYI while sprinting backwards in water you regain stam...faster than moving normal and comes in handy sometimes

Sucho definitely now prevails, ive fought 3 sarcos in a water fight, with sarcos health change sucho really hurts sarcos now.

There is headshot damage, I've literally been KILLED by a headshot from an allo bite.

The amount of people playing sarcos since this became a thing is insane. Not only are there more crocodiles in the water now than before but this ability to one-shot and nearly one-shot things is so absurd and awfully stupid of a mechanic I am surprised it got past QA and testing

Can't you use gator dash to catch up to things and get them on land
You can achieve the same with lunge. Gator dash consumes too much stamina for it to be worth using in combat unless you can one shot your target imo

If you are using gator dash after you come charging out the water and deal lots of damage to them and they start to run away you can use
gator dash to catch up to them that was a problem with most people who played sucho that when they was on land they are faster than you.
I watch some youtubers play it when they are trying to chase down things but couldn't catch it and was out of stamina so at that point there just waiting for the other dinosaur to run out of stam too but, with the dash you could just use that to chase things more better on land or at least I think, because that way sense your about run out of stamina anyway might as well use it for chase then keep biting it.
But if I see a youtuber use it like that then I think that's what it could be made for that also I really just probably typed all this out for no reason lol 😂.

On paper no it wont get one shot. It might survive with very little hp left. But sarco's ambush seems to be getting nerfed in ptb from x2 to x1.5 dmg multiplier

Last I checked it is still 65 dmg
I survived with my Sarco for 5 minutes against 4 sarcosuchus + 1 deinocheirus + spinosaurus, 6 VS 1, every time they came out of the water to recover life and attack again, on land there were several land dinosaurs. And you can't kill 1 deinocheirus, you're horrible.

Heres my experience, sarco isnt very good, at least on community servers, deinosuchus and megalania absolutely destroy them, sarcos cant facetank megas unless they have the normal bite, and that wont save you because it only takes around 7 to kill an adult mega. Deinosuchus are much better too, they are faster on land and can bb in the water making escape almost impossible. But sarcos charge bute is much more effective. Dasp and allo are much better and alio is better than what it used to be. The only dino that got an actual buff was megalania, which now dominates land and sea
‘Community servers’ heres the key to your sarco problems. Also L+ratio+skill issue.
@@Silc_0 that's pretty rude ngl, I'm not bad either, I've killed rexes spinos ducks and basically everything as sarco, it's my main "dino". Community servers aren't bad either, but yes it's probably best to avoid them as of now.

Right now playing sarco is not fun at all.
In the water you are much more vulnerable to spinos and ducks, also another sarco can oneshot you.
On land it is almost useless, with its low stamina you cannot chase preys that are bleeding to death. Also, with its low health they can destroy you in a moment.
They have messed it up with the sarco, it was better before

We need 3rd apex carni and suprisingly not alot of people agree with me cuz they always reply with "🤓 WeLl AcTuAlLy ThErEs No RoLe AnD pLaCe FoR a 3rD aPeX aNd It WhOuLd DeStRoY tHe BaLaNcE🤓" and yes they usually bring up somewhat good reasons but PoT is the kind of game that is easy to balance and i want a 3rd apex carni cuz really bro only 2 i want more options and variety only having rex and spino is bland and boring af

Old sarco was better, the fact that you can instakill another sarco in one bite is ridiculous.
Also, the health nerf make it almost useless in land...
