Bit of advice to help with surviving in The Isle. You can take out organs from player dinos/AI Tenos.
You can get them out by biting open the body with normal attacks then pressing G to grab a piece. Should take out an organ if the body's opened enough.
The organs you can get are:
2 lungs (Which both give the three dots)
1 Intestine (Which gives //)
1 Heart (Which gives S)
1 Stomach (Which gives diet based on what they had most of. Typically it'll be dots)
Organs gives substantially more diet than eating the body too. So it's worth going the little extra effort to eat them.
Reminds me of the Panjura map… Which every time I try to help a new player, they always end up dying to cliffs.

So many of the changes and decisions the devs make really lead me to believe they don’t even play the game
Much like Elder Scrolls, when you have a monopoly via solitude of a niche then you don't have to care.
Unlike Elder Scrolls though, Isle doesn't have the backing of a billion dollar company and it's shill consumers number in the thousands instead of millions/ten millions.

I said the exact opposite. It feels like many of the decisions the devs are making are because they play the game too much. They want the game to be catered for them specifically, or for people that are like the devs lol. They don’t listen to their players or do the exact opposite from what we ask.
@@DailyCommentorr It is nice seeing Devs not listen to players all the time., Devs games get changed so much from people moaning and whining that they never produce the game they wanted in the first place.
@@uwandaroberts9897 Yeah well this is the other extreme, where the devs just ignore player feedback altogether and end up with a mess which has potential, but it's still a mess.
The problem with the cliffs is that the devs test their maps using Omniraptor, which is resistant to bone break due to smaller weight + ability to jump. So the map is difficult to traverse if you are a heavy dinosaur, since it wasn’t tested with a heavy dinosaur in the first place.

Glad to know it's not just me. I took a break from the isle and came back when gateway oficially realesed on the main evrima branch, and I died multiple times to falling all of the sudden I thought I just got worse at the game pecificly not falling to my death lol. But it seems it's just this new map is even worse than the last in this sense. Great video Man.

These cliffs are your biggest enemy xyph, they Even forced you to drop the F-bomb, amazing
They REALLY need to bring back global chat, or in the very least, global species specific chat so you can find people to play with. The Isle STILL isn't fun.
I get why they removed global chat but removing the tab group thing where you can scroll through and find people to group with was ridiculous. It takes my friends and I forever to find each other to group up, and I know new players who want to play with friends can’t figure out the coordinates thing where you have to plug them into vulnona which is a separate website.
It doesn't seem like the Isle devs are interested in creating a fun game. It's why I ended up moving over to Path.
Nah, global chat was toxic. Plus it led to a lot of easy mixpacking.
I could see global species specific if we didn't already have migration zones for that, (i.e. all herbis of the same species ending up in the same zone.)
people mix pack just as much, most isle players use discord which makes it even easier than global ever did, all it did was murder community servers@@anon7128
Global chat made the game more realistic in the way that herbivores would be always talking on it, making a lot of noise, just like herbivores are in reality. Now, the maps are always quite, you will never get to know the other players, you are just playing alone or with a small pack of 3 or 5, and if someone in the pack goes too far their name will disappear, Evrima right now is boring, it's like playing on an empty server with AI, you never know the other players because there is no chat, and the stamina now being so bad, everyone is sitting in a bush getting stamina, going for food and water, and sitting in a bush again. @@anon7128

The beginning is like a copy of my suffering lol. Seriously, these cliffs are my nightmare in the isle. Btw 21:45 mud does not work when it is raining.

What I learned is that the mountains aren’t that steep, but they’re juuust steep enough that, on the way down, a tiny lip will send you flying to guaranteed death. I think the roads are gonna end up being a lot more important for navigation than we may think.
You sir. Just hit the mark. The cliffs aren’t fully supposed to be trusted since yes bone break is the consequence. Roads are to be trusted since they can guide you to certain areas.

This new map is hell. They even made pteras stamina bad when its purpose isto fly and use stamina.
The new stamina system is the devs litte love sauce to make the game more of a AFK simulator then what it was..
The raptors are also dependent on stamina but are useless when they loose all stamina after a pounce then have to sit for 10 minutes++

If the blood icon has a plus on it that means you've healed and won't lose blood anymore, also when your low health and that blood icon is going down does not mean you will randomly die you can only die of blood loss when the blood drop goes to zero.
Do you know about the harvesting of organs in this game? Truly a lifesaver, gives you the opportunity for a perfect diet off the bat once you find a body as a juvi
Once you have the plus sign you aren't bleeding anymore and are recovering blood. You were in no danger of bleeding out when you said you might bleed out lol. When you killed that small carno in the water you could have dragged it out of the water so you could eat it instead of going hungry. Other than that I like your humor and good vid. I subscribed.
Edit: I just watched the rest of the video. How in the hell did you live through that deino? You are super lucky or that was the dumbest deino player. I loved the panicked button smashing lol.
Of course, of course there was a deino in the pond! It wouldn't have made sense if it wasn't. I still jumped when it popped out of there! Heh, you reminded me why I don't play that game anymore, instead, just watch videos like yours. :D
I remember painfully growing a Stego, got to sub adult, only for my game to end in disaster when I sat up from a line of bushes and moved one step only to fall to my death. As it turns out, every cliff in the Isle is laden with bush lines conveniently hiding straight drops to instant death.
You can even find corpses of other players that way to eat if you're a carnivore, lmao. Whoever designed this map was a sadist.
What we need for a good game:
More stamina
More hunger resistance
More thirst resistance
MORE DINOS
MORE BUFFS
NO MORE CLIFFS

You can still drag a body out of the water if you swim above it and press the grab button, but the body will sink after a while so you gotta be quick, you don’t have to be an aquatic dino to drag bodies in the water.

Yo the way bleed works in evrima, it doesn’t deal damage over time, it lowers your stamina regen instead. When there’s a white + on the blood symbol, your blood is healing and you’re not leaving a blood trail.

my man, when u have that x on ur blood drop icon means u r not bleeding anymore, ur bleed is just healing, so dont worry about the blood trails :D
some games do this rlly well. Playing tarkov is described as “kick me in the balls” and they lean into it. The isle can’t seem to make their mind up
Play Ptera on current Evrima build if you want the actual worst experience possible.
one suggestion I can gove you instead of using a map os to use paths. Even though they are slow they can help you navigate the map better and you won’t run the risk of falling down a cliff.
Another one would be following the migration zone. even though the one you followed lacked animals to feed on, There are some that have plenty of that.
You can also grab food by pressing G.
My god... you'd think after falling to ur death 3-4 off a cliff, you'd learn to stay away from cliffs...

On gateway you must first trust your nose, then the roads and never the cliffs. It is the way.

Anyways, really enjoyed the video. It's difficult to find food as carnivores. A bit easier as cera but yea. There's always bound to be food in the woods from aspiring mountain goats.
That thick brown fog that shows up for long periods of time isnt a game feature, its a visual bug. safe logging sometimes fixes it, but so far i havent been able to find any reliable way to fix it. it makes the game so hard to play lol

I tried pteranodon on the map yesterday and i really wouldn't have noticed the difference if they took my night vision away right now. Night vision is pretty much useless atm
I do like the glowing eyes though, nice touch.
The new stam system is also a pain in the 🍑 for ptera.
@@July-nj5sn I actually tested that and timed the regen for ptera.
Starting at 0% and sitting down it took just over 4 min to get to full stam. In the beginning at 1 min it was snails pace. At 2 min it was 10% stam every 30 sec. At 3 min it was 20% every 30 sec, then nearing the end it was close to 25% every 30 sec.
All together, the stam regen is way too slow for a ptera, this is something i would expect from deino or stego, maybe the smaller mid tiers as well.
Pteranodon should be able to regenerate stamina while gliding. @@hellryker3647
Had a feeling that teno body would fall after being slain on the cliff. Played as a cera previously, searching for food was a nightmare and especially at night. The ai tenos can run for miles and faster than an adult cera, no areas they could get stuck on. So... died starving, out of stamina because of the desperation. And there were multiple calling randomly around me to boot xD
If you are an active server, go to the canyon river by the atrium, there are almost always bodies inside from people falling off the cliff
The devs are clueless, they couldn’t balance those game if they’re lives depended on if. Such stupid decisions being made
Lol had me laughing during the beginning with how you were giving commentary in such an annoyed yet casual tone 😂 I been playing The Isle since late 2015 but ever since the diet debuffs were added I've watched 3 communities die off due to poor Dev decisions for the game.
The Isle Devs are basically ruining their game more & more making the gameplay so tedious rather than enjoyable :/ I've got sucked back into Path of Titans where I'll probably stay especially since a lot of the servers I use to play on in The Isle (including realism RP servers) have made servers there on that game - probably only a matter of time before The Isle just becomes another game we use to know with a near dead if not completely dead player base.

They never said there were no more “falling off cliffs”. It wouldnt be the isle without some environmental challenges. But they did say there would be no “falling off hidden cliffs”.

the isle is not for the feint of heart, also that white light at the beggining is actually an ambient occlusion bug i believe

What Isle servers do yall use? From officials I can only use EU ones because of the ping but those servers are always full and for some reason when I get in the server it just throws me out after few minutes. Playing The Isle is no longer fun since the game won't even let me play. I'm starting to lose hope with the servers. I can only play in the EU servers in the morning on weekends when there are less people playing. Please tell me if there is a good EU server that I could use. I really want to play the game that I bought with my own MONEY. :')
Mud works when it aint raining. You dont drop any more blood after the + symbol appears on the blood drop.
Not knowing the map well definitely causes a lot of navigation issues. Spend an hour or 2 as a ptera exploring the pathways and you will never have that issie again. Sadly that is all pteras are good for right now
BTW mud doesn't work when it's raining!

but yeah u can get to that sanctuary pond if u run there from NE spawn, but u have to use the out-of-game interactive map or u will die of dehydration. even if u do it perfectly u almost die of dehydration, its really hard to get to but very fun lol

I bought this game a few weeks ago and I got bored after like 2 hours. There's just nothing you can do in this game, except for waiting until you're adult. Compared to Path of Titans this game has nothing to offer, nothing to unlock.
There is not even a tutorial on how to play the game and what the controls are. Idk what the devs are thinking.

I haven’t played the Isle, but from what I’ve seen, it’s a game I’d prefer to watch someone else play. It’s very pretty and has great immersion, but you waste so much time. It I spend 5 hours growing a dino, only to die in a dumb way and lose everything, I quit.
