      Does this basically mean we should use True Black 400 for a brighter image overall + better contrast? That sounds like better image quality versus losing out on those peak highlights in a 2% window.

      Debatable. Some people prefer that, others prefer the peak 1000 mode. Try both, it will prob depend on the content too. Hopefully MSI can improve the P1000 mode too

      Those modes could just as well be in the same section, they’re all individual preset modes. Whichever you select last will be the one active

    • @TheAstralen
      @TheAstralen Před měsícem

      @@tftcentral Thank you so much for replying. I mean Windows Desktop, for example when alt-tabbing from a game to check a guide, the sudden brightness difference from a game is big. If you viewed content like that which was designed for Adobe RGB colour space on a screen where you'd clamped the output gamut to sRGB, the colours would not be accurate or as intended. you'd really want the display's active colour space to be the same as the content you're viewing

But nothing I could address to in terms of specifications).
    I did, however figured out that it's related to the led backlight. Last year I managed to buy a year 21 model of Samsung tv, to which I managed to get used to. But it happened only when I switched all of the lightbulbs in my house to the old 100w ones.
    Last "gaming"(I did try Dell's office monitor to have the same problem, if not worse) monitor was Samsung's G7 or something. There I noticed one thing - turning off gsync reduced the problem dramatically.

      @@tftcentral that sucks because then dldsr won't work. I play games at 4k on a 65" qd oled tv and dldsr is pretty much needed to combat the blur from taa/dlss. I wonder if the higher pixel density of 4k 32" can make up for the lack of dldsr and still look sharp despite taa/dlss.

    @TFTCentral. I just received my MPG 321URX and am having an issue with the HDR peak 1000 setting. Every time I turn on HDR in windows 11 and am on the peak 1000 mode, the screen becomes overly saturated with a yellow hue. I am able to use the peak 400 setting without issues. I have updated both the firmware (from 2/27/24) and my NVIDIA driver (from 3/5/24). I am running an RTX 4090. I am assuming this has something to do with the windows 11 HDR compatibility but would greatly appreciate your thoughts.

      It can be useful but I wouldn’t say it’s vital. Some HDMI 2.0 speed monitors will also support VRR, although those tend to be marketed as supporting that. @tftcentral  Před 4 měsíci

      @Dx-so7jm ok I think I know what’s happening probably. Imagine the game modes and pro modes were all in a single menu list instead of being split in to two sections. Whichever you activate last will be the one active. So make sure you’re selecting the relevant pro mode as the one active (ie user). Ignore the game modes.
      If you have HDR enabled all the time (not recommended) then windows desktop will actually emulate the SDR /sRGB colour space so that will explain why it looks less colourful and more dull. Certainly more so than if you were using user mode but in SDR with HDR turned off. But when you play actual HDR content it should render back in the full native colour space again as intended
