If you use Bey as your captain, he can turn this into a nasty gunboat. It's no Kidd or Benson, but it can put a hurting on you.

Fletcher only has 5 guns. T61 is a very effective gun boat and torpedo boat.
Love the ship breakdown and build details, would definitely be more interesting for ships with more equipment

The new German Commander rework makes Von Spee very powerful.
if you play it right the enemy won't spot you and they will be taking torps.

Great being with the ship bio. Very nice game play and win, the only thing that you left out was. That this ship has four kits available. Repair kit, smoke, speed, and best is sonar, for when your in a 1v1 or higher match and you don’t want to be torpedoed. All in all a great video presentation.
I like this new format. That way I can see the stats and the equipment you choose before the game. I'm pretty sure this ship would like me but it's much expensive.

Lol I only use camo rarely same for boosters so they add up from the free crates and missions

Ive been looking at buying this ship for a while now. I watched this today and it helped me to decide to get it. It reloads torps so quick and is so easy to use. Love it so far
as a pc player its so alien hearing this ship isnt a gunboat because its DPS is low, That is true, But its alpha is high and if they kept the pen values true, german DDs have 1/4 pen unlike other DDs so its more effective at kiting and hurting cruisers. Also, if you feel you cant outgun you opponent, pop smoke, use your hydro, let him charge you, Youll get a couple shots in before he spots you.
This ship is a monster on PC, id bet if you played around with it, youll find its a very good hybrid, just my 2 cents, Would love to play this on xbox one day, Might have to unpack it again.
It can be good if you set it up for that but as my build was set up for torps I take a huge hit in the gun department so if you set it up like I did then it is best to avoid a gun battle

Not a choice, you will LOVE the Graf. It's like a battleship and a cruiser had a baby. Best parts of each
I don't have the T61 yet but I agree with the other gentlemen, the Graf Spee is a lot of fun. Very unique.
That said I don't think you can go wrong with the T61. I have seen a lot of them on top of the scoreboard
It’s my favourite ship in the whole game. It’s a nasty gunboat when you get close to smoked destroyers and use the sonar/ smoke combo.
But definitely one of the best all round, does everything well, destroyers. Plus It’s a good earner. 😄

I just bought this and I love it. I use scheer with bey and Tanaka as my inspirations. I only have bey at rank 7 and so far I have concealment at 5.6 so far

I made somewhere in the middle torpedo-gunboat build and it has a 3,30 sec reload which makes it perfect at killing annoying little Japanese destroyers. That said about the guns now for the torps.They are good🙂
We need a shirt that has a DD on it and it says "I tried".

Looks a good ship but I bought the Polish destroyer last week so it's a pass from me
The RN destroyers are great once you get up the tree, launching a line of torps I just get on with very well
They are certainly terrifying to see all the torps coming in but so satisfying when you dodge them

I think you are right on everything but the guns the guys are pretty good you just got to hit broad sides of ships.
But only having 4 that reload every 4.4 seconds with my torpedo build means it isn't preferable

This game has a premium ship problem by the way they designed the commander system, the Tiers and the economy.
In tanks I'd buy premiums to train up crews. I needed a few from each nation so I wouldn't get too bored training up a crew. I could drop the commander in each premium tank, get my 2x for the day and move on.
In this game the commanders xp doesn't matter. The economy doesn't really matter either. I can play any tech tree Tier 5 ship and make almost the same credits as I do in a Tier 5 premium. If I actually want to make credits, I'll play a Tier 6 premium. But the Tier 6 ships cost so much damn money that I'm not going to buy very many of them.
I could go on but I won't waste anyone's time. Premium ships just aren't really that interesting in this game.
I think that is why the premium ships are generally closer or in some cases better than their tech tree equivalents where as tanks they are generally noticeably weaker with a few exceptions
@@SpartanElite43 I think a very strong argument can be made that the Tier 5 German tch tree DD is better than this one. Especially with the 150mm guns. That thing can shred American DDs.
I generally agree with what you said. Luckily there has been several chances to earn premium ships for free. I imagine that you really won't have to buy any premium ships because they will keep up with the earn ops. And even though some require admiralty backing, that is a small price to pay for a premium ship.
I do disagree with you on the point of the premium ships not being interesting. Some are boring for sure but some are really quite fun. The Kidd is my favorite ship in the game. The Sharnhorst and Graf Spee are great and unique. My highest damage game is in the Kamikaze. There's a Russian DD on PC that I assume we will get called the Okhotnik that is unlike anything else.
They all are way too expensive but generally they are available a couple months later for 20 % off. I won't be buying anymore premiums when new and full price anymore cause I have plenty already so I just plan on waiting for the sale prices.
I actually probably won't get anything until I see what they do for Black Friday
I think a strong argument is that the priced on console take the piss

He gets them for a certain amount of time to review and at the end of the rental period he decides whether to pay to keep it.
No I buy some but as a Community Contributor WG lends us the ships so we can make videos on them for folks to see them in action before spending their hard earned money on them.

The guns are very good. Denying the power of the AP is a mistake.
IJN have better torps, guns, and concealment..... Unless the T-61 drops in a crate I will never own this ship.

It's very sluggish.
My instincts as BB main is to charge the enemy whilst waving my sword and yelling "parry this you filthy casual". On the off hand of me playing the ohpleasenerfpowers of the Iowa's dispersion build with a maxed out Sims. I just sit 21km from all other ships and just rain on the poor non wallet warrior plebs. Just drinking up their salty yet sweet delicious tears.
