I failed the first test twice and the second test once. When I finally passed the second one I looked at the screen in disbelief and almost cried. I am now a IT Professional and doubled my salary. Keep pushing and don't give up.
Congrats!
did you have any previous experience in IT?
Took me FOUR attempts between the 900 series and 1000 series to complete my full A+ Cert but IT’S WORTH THE DILIGENCE!! For whoever needs it, KEEP THAT FIRE ALIVE! It’ll pay off in the end 💪🏾
Hi mate are the PBQ's worth more than the mcq questions and how many do points do you get roughly for attempting them. I'm resitting my exam but I never attempted any PBQ questions when they came up.
@@ismailakbar6449 what kinds of pbq questions did u get?
@@TimothyNeubert I'm not allowed to discuss the exact questions online it goes against comptia rules but if you search for them on yt write in compita pbq you will see alot of examples that's all I can say.
I have a BA in computer science and years of IT experience. I failed both the core 1 and core 2 the first time. It took me twice for each. Don't underestimate the test. Take time to study and you should be fine.
My past job paid for my A+, and I passed part 1, but failed part 2 once by 5 questions. After, retook part 2, I passed. The A+ helped me to get another higher paying IT position.
I just want to say thank you for all of your videos about A+. Today I passed the first part (1001) scoring 752 points (first attempt). Now it's time to study and smash the last part.
Congrats!
Did u pass core 2?
@@upgradingmylife3376 I will try in one month
@@Garinthercus good luck man, I’m recording my journey from a chef to working in IT if u fancy subscribing 👍🏻
Going to be honest, I’ve studied for the A+ and it was an eye opener and it was overwhelming. Hate to say that I chocked and haven’t taken the test. I was always under the impression that you had to take both parts at the same time. I’m now considering to testify for the A+ and take one test at a time and study for that part.
Passed cored 1 first attempt and failed core 2 first attempt. Gearing up to retake core 2
Not passing is so 😣 😑 but it’s all good this next attempt I’ll be better prepared mentally.
I failed my (1001) test today. I felt like I studied pretty hard. Those PBQ's really got me. I am totally new to I.T and have no experience. Thanks for the video. Looks like I have alot more studying to do.
Failed the CompTIA A+ too a few weeks ago, but I was only 20 points from passing. I have a little bit of experience from a internship from high school. I studied my ass off too, but at least I know that I'm closer than I thought. Keep trying and look to other sources like udemy and other books. Keep trying and you'll get there man!
@@JayPenber Thanks so much for the encouragement. 20 points away was pretty close. I will look into other sources that is a great tip! I will study a bit more before I reschedule. Good luck on your next test being so close is motivation
Thanks so much for the advice, I was planning on taking the whole test when I eventually scheduled it. I'll definitely take them separately.. Love the channel keep it up 👍
I just passed my 220-1002 a couple weeks ago and now I'm working on my 220-1001. I feel real confident that this cert is mine. I tested once and passed for the 1002.
Thank you for sharing your experience 😊
Currently studying for my A+ Certification. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed. But not giving up.
Failed both 1001 and 1002 last week… I got some more study material and made my own study guides from the info that I have. Gotta grind and study this week and hopefully pass next week!
I’m a total newbie. Thanks for doing it
I one hundred percent totally agree with this video. I have taken it twice and failed. My last attempt was in the high fives. I'm watching a variety of videos and have a few practice test and a review and study guide. I SHALL pass Core 1 next month! Thanks @MASTER I.T.!
💪🏽 Good luck!
@@ZERO_TO_IT_HERO I’m going to check your Security and Network Plus curriculums!
Which past exam papers are u using? I haven't registered for exam. I am having this fear but I want to write end of August
@@PatShun Which past exam papers are you using to study for A+?. Please help.
I took the practice exam, and cheated, and I still failed. This test is hard!
I failed my ITF exam 3 times and I debating if I should even retake it again. I feel so dumb if I can’t even pass a basic test how will I be able to go for the A+ exam. Debating if I should just skip over the itf and start studying the A+ exam
I’m doing my A+ first. I’ve not done IT but I’m getting into this pretty easily I’d sayb
Nailed my ITF+ and A+ 1001...... took my 1002 today and FAILED!! God damn! That is a HARD exam! Scored 678 and needed 700 to pass, so it wasn't a hideous failure by any stretch...but man it is a sucky feeling to fail. Gonna load up an FPS, chill for the rest of the day, pick myself up and try again in a couple of months. From what I can see, even some people with computer science degrees fail the A+ 1002 first time, so I'm not gonna beat myself up about it. Try, try again! :)
Failed it 3 times . This 1002 is on another level of harder . When you think u passed or did good , a low score pops up smh
The best thing to do when taking the A+exam is to leave the PBQ for last and do the MCQ first then do the PBQ you will save a lot of time.and have time left over for the PBQ.
man I failed the 1001 for the second time today and I was pissed, but Im just gonna try again not the end of the world
💯
I’m just starting to study for mine. I hope you pass it though man 💪🏻
Am I the only one that thinks the way this test is presented is kind of redundant? Let’s be honest you’ll learn all you need on the job. Worst of all the questions are designed to trip you up by giving you damn near similar answers. From what I understand, the certification isn’t a one time thing , meaning you’ll have to force yourself to remember a bunch of BS all over again. At least make it open book lol.
I just failed core 1 twice and with funding from my local school. I also got a lower score the second time, so I dont know what im doing wrong
I feel your pain i just failed 1102 for a second time. I got a 677 the first time and a 654 the second time. Just got to keep trying i guess.
Trying to go at it alone.
Failed my first test, were not done though.
I needed this one bro. Just failed 1002 today smh. Was so damn pissed
Shake it off. Test again soon.
the thing i dont understand. so do they count the certification the day you pass the first exam and or do they start counting down the 2 years it is good after you done with the 2nd exam? or do they keep the first exam and start doing the 2 years it is good and then if you get the second exam done when what if it takes you another 2 years to take it and then they have to take the test again cause it already been two years even though you past the 1st part of test like two years ago and then they be 'oh the two years is already up you need to get recertified?'
im having a tough time getting accommodations for the test. does it usually take 4 months to get it approve? like i running into a lot of issues and everything.
When you took the Comp TIA the second time, were some of the question the same as last time or are they all different. And did the Simulations change at all I struggled especially with the simulations.
Everything changed
It's been 7 months since your comment, but I have your answer.
The test questions are pulled from a pool of a thousand questions, some of which are not counted toward your point value, and there's all sorts of simulations you have to go through. For the 1002, knowing email ports, and disk formatting procedures is gonna make the biggest difference.
Nothing changed the last 3 times I took the 1002 exam . Maybe the questions a little but the simulations was exactly the same !
@@jayjohnson588 I will have look those up because you nail those you are good for the entire test
@@kristindibble8356 I heard. I did some calculations . They gotta be atleast worth 120 points each
buh evene the matrial is irrelevent to the test I study for months!
👍🏻
How many months do the first test stay on record if you pass
Usually three years
If you pass only one of the core exams, you have 6 months to pass the other core exam before you have to retake the core you already passed. After you pass both then it last 3 years.
I don’t like copatia they remind me like in secondary school when you just memorises things that is not necessarily to knowing that things. And the exam is not testing your knowledge, they test your psychology’s and “Is this guy can solve this question quickly or not” what the fucking problem if you give 2 hours more what will be happened why the exam is 90 questions and you have only 2 hours WTF is useless and not beneficial. I love Offensive Security and I really like the e-learn security Multiple Question things is useless and useless useless
I failed my security plus 3 times!!!!
did you ever pass ?
@@jovictor3007 I gave up after my 3rd attempt. I had to paid more than $300 dollar for each exam and just didn't want to risk of wasting more money.
I just failed my 1001 today
