- The Elgator Facecam MK2 is a brand new 1080p 60fps webcam and a complete redesign compared to the Mk1, but how does it compare to the new Logitech MX Brio or original Brio 4k also running at 1080p 60fps? Let's find out.

Great video! Thank you.
You bet! Glad it helped
Always thorough and amazing Jermey. Great job.!
Thank you, Jon!
How's the image quality when using MS Teams, Zoom? I know for sure that they are converted to 1080p30.
They both look good. The resolution for me normally goes to 1080p regardless of the camera, and fps is usually around 15-24
I've been looking for a webcam with a better microphone pickup quality. I hate dragging cables to independent microphones on the desktop. Although I have purchased one, I don't want to use it.
Agreed. Look into the Hollyland Lark M2. It's a wireless lapel mic, tinyand sounds pretty good for the money. I did a video on it and tested it vs wired lapel mics. The EMEET StreamCam is also decent with integrated detachable wireless mic, but I still prefer the image on both the Facecam Mk2 and the MX Brio.
I’m surprised the Brio 4K can keep up in image quality, the extra sharpness looks great, but: that motion blur tho… fantastic commentary and info in this video thank you.
So which would you recommend the Mx brio or obsbot tiny 2?
That's a tough call. The image quality is similar. I'd go with the OBSBOT for the gimbal flexibility as a home user, but as a business and thinking about supporting several of these, I'd pick the Brio 705.
What are you using to record? OBS?
Yes, I used OBS and Camtasia
@@DeployJeremy Did you use any extra cable or extension for Facecam mk2? I have tested now 6 cables and extensions, all usb 3.0 or better. Including expensive 10gbps cables. Do you use usb hubs? I need my facecam to work at 3m length, and none of the cables work or camera goes to usb 2 mode. Only the original cable works at usb 3.0 but it's too short. Can you do a little troubleshooting for me? I have about 5 days to do something or i will return the camera. Can you test any 3.0 cables with this cam for me please and tell me which work at usb 3.0 mode? This is a shame because it's a great cheap camera. It's driving me nuts.
I didn't need to extend the Facecam camera. The Logitech BRIO's refuse to do 4K without their in box cable. I believe it's just cable spec and each is different on usb-c. I'll test with a Thunderbolt 4 40mbps usb-c cable, since it has the highest bandwidth. 3.2 Gen 2 10 mbps should work though, too, afaik.
@@DeployJeremy Please test with any cable 3.0 or more if it's not a problem. I now tested 7 cables, it's madness, including 3.2 gen 2 too. Either it doesn't work(the icon flickers) or it works in usb 2.0 lossy mpjeg format. The elgato support offers no help.
I just tested with a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C cable, and it works. I think TB3 is 20mbps. It is YUY2, the lossless NV12 maxes out using Elgato's in-box cable at just 540p, so YUY2 is the only quality option.
looks like the elgato's lack of compression handles motion way more gracefully
There has to be something wrong in the brio image at 60 fps, maybe the HDR, because it looks like 30 fps, absolutely terrible. I didn´t see that quality in other comparisons
I didn't see a difference live. It could be different video formats, editing suite, or CZcams processing. Both are smooth at 60fps.
@@DeployJeremyits the logitech brio 4k side that is extremely choppy. you can see it clearly whenever your hands are in the shot, how choppy the logitech brio 4k side is. the logitech mx brio is much better. i would say from this comparison i like the logitech mx brio best, elgato facecam mk2 close second, and the logitech brio 4k least.
For me the MKII wins in every category😂
