i have a base in the swamp bc i cleared it out and its great, the fisher merms and abundant green mushrooms are really handy
I love drying racks to make jerky in all versions of don't starve. Jerky lasts a relatively long time and gives a lot of health, hunger, and sanity. It can go in crock pot recipes and can be fed to pigs. Paired with a bee box and a source of large meat like spiders, and small meat like crabbits or fish, you can make a lot of honey ham. It goes bad a lot quicker than just the jerky though. Honey by itself also lasts a long time and gives both health and hunger.
for the first tip,im pretty sure its impossible to get iron in shipwrecked so you cannot build lamps or watch towers
This is true, It's possible to make a smelter but you would still need to go to hamlet to gather some raw iron, good catch! Luckily the other structures are still obtainable with no hamlet!
Fishermerms are also great for getting fish, if you can find them in the poison swamp and clear it out. And not every world has a few fishermerms for the free fish.
I too love the fishermerms. Make a bunch of drying racks and a bee box, some nearby spiders to farm, and you've got a good base going.
You are soooooo underratted !
Nice video! Are you planning to do a seasons guide for hamlet?
Yes it is in the works! I plan to release the whole guide as one large video :)
@@polarlotus Nice. Awesome to hear that. Not wanting to interfere with your content planing but wouldnt it be better to also split the guides and release them that way. Personally i found your channel by searching for a quick hurricane season guide and i think many people would be detered to watch a 1 Hr long video which is also not that favoured by youtube.
Purple Groupers give wave inmunity!?!?!? I have to try that...
They not only give full immunity, something I forgot to mention is they allow you to speed boost from waves in any direction aswell! also works on tall hurricane waves!
The cult of "The dreaded mob that we shall not name" will take over your worlds, Polar. You'll die over and over and over again to their many stings. You shall be sacrificed in the name of the one true GOD of the constant (the mythical, legendary, incredibly awsome looking Scorpion King)
Also, your vendetta against scorpions reminds me a lot of Slasher's vendetta against Moleworms.
This is very unepic D:
@@polarlotus ready to say bye to your world lol
Too bad, Molarpotus. For his reign is inevitable. Or, as they'd say it in your tongue, "Hoot hoot! HOOT HOOT HOOT!"
What makes the crashed hot air balloon appear in shipwrecked? I think it happens when you unlock Wheeler. Or is it always in every world?
It appears when you enable hamlet in your shipwrecked world
Trying to figure out how to make a slanty shanty in shipwrecked without oincs. And if I build one will I need a deed of ownership to inhabit? How do I get oincs without going to hamlet, staying in shipwrecked?
To get oincs without going to hamlet you will need to either build some pig shops or pig houses and sell their corresponding trades to them, if you build a pig house then the occupant is random, but shops always have the same type of pig working there, the best pigs for amassing oincs in shipwrecked would probably be the usher pig (Berries) and the worker pig (rope & boards), obviously you will need to make sure that hamlet is enabled
@@polarlotus Thanks. :)
