I got mine when they first came out and still wear it with the original strap regularly. It matches more outfits and settings than just about any other watch I own.
1:24 Mark has also said that the SKX’s MSRP was $450 USD, but that Seiko had a rampant grey market problem, which is why you could get them for a third of the price. The 5 Sports is not an SKX replacement but a spiritual successor in the form of the watch people are actually buying it as.

I love the way this watch looks. It's currently on my list to buy. It being so recently discontinued, I'm in that weird pocket where I want to get it at a really good deal, but I need to get it before it starts to go up in price
I have that watch and the case looks like pewter, I also changed the strap for a grey canvas one.

Thanks for a great video. Wish you had done just a few shots from the sides and of the back. It's 100% dial shots I think which is bit repetitive and leaves me having to go elsewhere to get a sense of the full watch.
I get my piece couple weeks ago from Japan. Agreed that it came a slightly expensive for me, around 300 euros with all the fees etc. (I live in Finland). But it was love in first sight and I had to get it.
The watch is great specially the dial, but with orginal gray starp wholeness is too grayness to my mind. Thats why I bought pair of couple strap alternatives 😊
I have a couple of New-Old-Stock Seiko SKX007's. I bought them about 5 years ago to mod but I never got around to it. Just have them in the cupboard with all the stickers on. I should probably sell them.
This is definitely a beauty! I have a Seiko 5 with the same case finishing and absolutely love it! I would argue that you CAN dress it up, though.

I'm general I'd probably say my Orient Kamasu red dial. I absolutely love that watch to bits!
But the G-Shock I recently made a video on is up there, and I'm really enjoying this Seiko too.
Hoping to get an Omega seamaster by the end of the year, and hopefully I really enjoy that and it will become my favourite watch... Who knows!

From my experience, the Orient Kamasu has incredible lume. The Phoibos Reefmaster is also great!

It's just too expensive. There's just better options out there for the price. I'm done with Seiko.

@@DonKey496just because a fat dutch/Irish dude calls them that it don't mean they're good watches people only like them because they're reminiscing about when they had them as children, most adults today look at casios and say they're just cheap plastic crap.while others like me love them for that reason they're watches that is a everyday beater a GADA watch.
It looks cool and cringe at the same time. Overpriced in my opinion. I'd pay 100€ for it and not a cent over that.
