Just a wholesome story: My school was supposed to be an all girls school, but they're progressive, so it's a girls and non-binaries school! If you have a preferred name, the teachers will call you by that name. Preferred pronouns? They'll use them!
The first one made me think of the time someone said “your are going straight to hell” and I responded with “actually I am far from straight so I will in fact be going to hell in a very squiggly line.” :)
I personally choose to believe that if a "straight" person is offended you don't like them when you come out, they're not as straight as they claim, have a crush on you, and just got their hopes up
Um I wouldnt go that far. I think its largely due to most people being insecure. We all kinda like the idea of anyone/everyone finding us appealing. And when someone kinda openly says they dont find you appealing, it triggers that "Awww wtf whats so bad about me?" Like, insults that hit your insecurities arent only painful when said by people who you like/find attractive. They should be, ideally thats how it should work. But thats not really how our minds work.
@@skeetsmcgrew3282 Yeah I know, I was kind of joking a bit, sorry for not clarifying! For what it's worth, a gay person not being attracted to you doesn't mean you're unattractive. Maybe you're just not their type, everyone has preferences. Personally if I think someone I've met is straight I actively try not to allow myself to feel attracted to them to avoid getting hurt or having an awkward friendship. Plus I've had to turn down straight girls a few times and it's super awkward trying to explain that it's not their fault, I'm just not interested because I'm gay, and I don't want to put anyone else in the reverse position (especially since I know if a straight person words such a rejection just a little off, some people will take it as homophobia, so it'd be even more awkward and uncomfortable for everyone involved) I'm rambling a bit. Point is, yeah I was just joking. If a real person claims to be straight I 100% respect that and take them at their word :)
@@skeetsmcgrew3282 If a straight guy (ideally he'd be pretty maculine) says "But you're not hitting on me, right?", I'll answer "Don't worry, I'm only into masculine men.". CZcams gave that ad all day one day to my younger brother who recently came out. It gave him a break from the anti gay ads, sexual anime game ads, and constant anti smoking ads.
@Earl Jones because transphobia, idk what part this person is in and if it's in place where trans people are targeted minorities for violence, it would be safer not to make yourself a target by coming out. I'm just trying to look out for a homie cause people suck, I'm not saying don't come out at all just to those who well be accepting and someone he trusts.
When I was growing up, things were very segregated, to keep us "pure" but when they discovered a love letter to a girl, they stopped letting me see people or leave my house...for a year...til I turned 18.
Hey Jamie! Could you make a video on ace/aro pride? A lot of people think that ace/aro people aren't apart of the lqbtq+ community, and I feel they need some pride and representation
I came out to my dad and he already knew lol. It was like “Dad I need to tell you something” “You’re bisexual?” “Huh?” “I’ve known that for years it’s not exactly hard to spot” Needless to say I was happy lol
I think part of the threat of a "all-boys school" is that a lot of those, traditionally, were like military schools or "schools for troubled boys". So...yeah, the threat of corporal punishment (among others) is usually what's behind that as well as "keep you single"

I knew two guys in highschool, one allergic to real strawberries and the other allergic to the artificial flavor. I was always afraid I would somehow mix it up and kill one of them.
The AM I GAY ads amuse me because every once in a while CZcams decides I need to question my gender again by suggesting videos such as "how I knew I was nonbinary" and "how to know if you are gender non-conforming"
i just want to thank you. i was feeling very horrible today (depressed and numb but also crying every five minutes) but seeing this video finally made me smile and now i can breathe deep.
Hello everyone, hope you are all well. Hope you all have a fantastic week, and I know I have said it before but you are all valid people and cared about.

8:09 the way you write foreign words in japanese is with katakana, so you would write western names, countries etc. including the word homo! because its not Japanese, and "no" doesnt really mean much, and it most commonly connects nouns together, and comes after modified nouns, these are known as particles, "no" is possesive, an example would be "boku *no* hero academia" "boku *no namaiwa_____ des" (my name is ____) notice how it comes after the "my"? so you wouldnt usually see no before homo, unless you where saying something like "my gayness" but on its own id doesnt mean anything :) you have 3 writing styles in japan, kanji, hiragana, and katakana. kanji is where one symboll means a whole word (most of the time, buts its more complicated than this) and comes from china, hiragana is used for japanese words, where one symboll means a sound like "no" "hi" "po" etc and katakana uses the same sounds as hiragana, but different symbols, So like my actual name is Hayden, so you would use the katakana to sound it out like "ha-i-de-n" a better example is with john, "jo-n" or countries, so Mexico is actually said like "me-ke-shi-ko" ill provide some examples below using the symbolls: Mexico katakana:メキシコ ✅hiragana: めきしこ❌ (a tick next to the ones that make sense, and foreign words don’t have kanji) ✅❌ Boku: (my) hiragana: ぼく✅ katakana: ボク❌ kanji: 僕 ✅ Here’s a extra tidbit: kanji when used together mean different things, so separately 火 means fire, and 山 means mountain, but together 火山 they mean volcano China: 中 means during, or in the middle 国 means country, and together they mean China, this is hinting to the fact that, China thinks of itself as the center of the world, the most important (this is not my opinion, just what the kanji is alluding to) (and there are over 3000 individual kanji) and names mean things 未来 is Mirai, and it’s means “the future”. And of course that’s just skimming off the top, I’d really recommend looking into it, even if you aren’t bothered in learning Japanese, there are some amusing ones :) (The letters that make up penguin in Chinese directly translate to business goose, for example) For the Jojo fans reading this, the reason Josuke higashikata is called jojo is because the last kanji of his name can be read as jo, but with context it’s read as ta/kata
It's also so hurtful to "opposite-sex" friendships when parents ban you from hanging out with them, creating idea that opposite Sex relationships are automatically "sexual" or whatever while same Sex are automatically platonic
A friend pointed out how the "no" in "no ho mo" kind of looks like a butt and now I'm wheezing because that just adds another gay layer to this whole thing.
Jamie, you are one of the few things that keep me going every day, Thank you so much for being here as a loving and caring creator on youtube! From this trans girl, Thank you!
Oh my God thank you so fucking much for the ad!! My fiancé who is trans has been looking for a therapist but it has been hell!! Hopefully this will help
The last one reminded me of when I came out as bi to one of my friends and she was like " wait but I've changed in front of you!" I said "okay and?" she said "I'm straight!no offense or anything it's just creepy knowing I turned a female on!" I said " oh you didn't ! Your not my type!" then my "straight" friend spent two hours wanting to know why she wasn't my type and why I don't find her attractive... I finally had to leave because I have no filter and about told her what I thought about how offended she was that I didn't 1ant her lol
That contestant on Family Fortunes reminds me of the time a Tory MP tweeted an accusation that Scottish National Party MP John Nicholson was employing his wife as his parliamentary secretary. John Nicholson tweeted his response, "My boyfriend will be furious when he finds out."
About the last one, when I came out I was 16 and a few girls I was friends with didn’t want to hug me anymore (although that was common in our friend group) But they did want to hug the males in our group 🤷🏼♀️ Needless to say that friendships didn’t last.
I like these episodes as always thanks Jammie!! I know the second to last one sounds like you said but in my head I couldn't help but think "what if... It's a flerting technique, if the cop gives me a ticket... That means I can start to flirt with him~" You know? 😆
I am definitely going to check out the sponsor because I had a counsellor within the past 10 years that shot down the notion that I was gender fluid (which at that time is how I felt) because I couldn’t explain to her things that did that were overly masculine or overly feminine because I do what I do with no gender filter. Like I still honestly don’t know the difference. I am just me regardless of traditional gender roles. I have had a hard time opening up about these sorts of things irl and thought I could trust this woman. All that added to my trust issues with women. On a more positive, gender affirming, note. I got called young man buy a customer at work the other day. I think he could only really see my neck and up but it made that day less crappy.
I think I know why the no homo in Google translate works like that. To simplify a bit, 'no' in Japanese doesn't mean no, it's a possessive. For example, "Jamie's channel" translated to Japanese and spelled phonetically would be "jiemi no channeru." Typing in "no ho mo" in Google translate then basically becomes typing in " 's gay", but since there's no noun or name in front of the no/'s Google just leaves it out, and just "ho mo" gets translated to "gay"

@@seabassthegamer6644 Thanks, I would but I'm not out yet so but I am planning to challenge things like this soon! Hopefully anyway because I plan to come out before the next school year starts, here's hoping! Thanks for your comment anyway!
@@lauramoore2684 I see. Best of luck to you, then.
CZcams gave that ad all day one day to my younger brother who recently came out. It gave him a break from the anti gay ads, sexual anime game ads, and constant anti smoking ads.
I'm still trying to decide whether to come out as trans to my school yet
same tho
If you decide to I hope it goes well for you (this goes for everyone else who's thinking about coming out)!
Do it if its safe for you to, and you don't owe anyone an explanation if people doubt you are trans or try to make you feel bad about it
@Earl Jones because transphobia, idk what part this person is in and if it's in place where trans people are targeted minorities for violence, it would be safer not to make yourself a target by coming out. I'm just trying to look out for a homie cause people suck, I'm not saying don't come out at all just to those who well be accepting and someone he trusts.
Well even if you don't, we'll he here you monarch

When I was growing up, things were very segregated, to keep us "pure" but when they discovered a love letter to a girl, they stopped letting me see people or leave my house...for a year...til I turned 18.
Hey Jamie! Could you make a video on ace/aro pride? A lot of people think that ace/aro people aren't apart of the lqbtq+ community, and I feel they need some pride and representation
I came out to my dad and he already knew lol. It was like
“Dad I need to tell you something”
“You’re bisexual?”
“Huh?”
“I’ve known that for years it’s not exactly hard to spot”
Needless to say I was happy lol

The anime movie PROMARE did hetbaiting for like 5 seconds. That movie is poetic queer cinema and is one of my favorite movies. ❤️✨❤️✨
I think part of the threat of a "all-boys school" is that a lot of those, traditionally, were like military schools or "schools for troubled boys". So...yeah, the threat of corporal punishment (among others) is usually what's behind that as well as "keep you single"
Just me dying questioning my existence as we speak an not in a “mood” way like actually crying but not knowing if I’m even crying because I got so detached from reality

I personally find it hilarious when someone says "don't like me I'm not gay" then get offended when you say you don't like them
"Some people might not like" impossible. everyone likes bananas and strawberries
I knew two guys in highschool, one allergic to real strawberries and the other allergic to the artificial flavor. I was always afraid I would somehow mix it up and kill one of them.
My best friend doesn't like strawberries. I've been trying to convinced her otherwise for 11 years now to no avail. It's incredibly tragic.

I haven't even seen the whole video yet but I know since it had the words all and gay in it together this is going to be something special
The AM I GAY ads amuse me because every once in a while CZcams decides I need to question my gender again by suggesting videos such as "how I knew I was nonbinary" and "how to know if you are gender non-conforming"
I thought this was an old video and then was really surprised it didn’t have many likes then I realised it was only just posted
i just want to thank you. i was feeling very horrible today (depressed and numb but also crying every five minutes) but seeing this video finally made me smile and now i can breathe deep.
I know that feeling. Glad you're doing better. Jamie's happiness is contagious. Btw awesome pic of the aurora! 💚🌎✌️
The "you were assigned bottom" thing is from league of legends and i felt really called out, as I always play bottom in league

One of the best things that I've read on Facebook...........Son talking to his father..."Dad, I'm gay". Dad's quiet for a sec and then says "same rules as your sister - no boys in your room". Love this.
Okay, usually I skip watching the sponsor of the video but THIS TIME i watched the WHOLE THING because this is what we need and it is good to know that there is a counseling place for LGBTQ
Congrats on the new house! And the absolutely brilliant counselling sponsor, so glad to see that services like this exist
8:09 the way you write foreign words in japanese is with katakana, so you would write western names, countries etc. including the word homo! because its not Japanese, and "no" doesnt really mean much, and it most commonly connects nouns together, and comes after modified nouns, these are known as particles, "no" is possesive, an example would be "boku *no* hero academia" "boku *no namaiwa_____ des" (my name is ____) notice how it comes after the "my"? so you wouldnt usually see no before homo, unless you where saying something like "my gayness" but on its own id doesnt mean anything :)
you have 3 writing styles in japan, kanji, hiragana, and katakana. kanji is where one symboll means a whole word (most of the time, buts its more complicated than this) and comes from china, hiragana is used for japanese words, where one symboll means a sound like "no" "hi" "po" etc and katakana uses the same sounds as hiragana, but different symbols, So like my actual name is Hayden, so you would use the katakana to sound it out like "ha-i-de-n" a better example is with john, "jo-n" or countries, so Mexico is actually said like "me-ke-shi-ko" ill provide some examples below using the symbolls:
Mexico katakana:メキシコ ✅hiragana: めきしこ❌ (a tick next to the ones that make sense, and foreign words don’t have kanji) ✅❌
Boku: (my) hiragana: ぼく✅ katakana: ボク❌ kanji: 僕 ✅
Here’s a extra tidbit: kanji when used together mean different things, so separately 火 means fire, and 山 means mountain, but together 火山 they mean volcano
China: 中 means during, or in the middle 国 means country, and together they mean China, this is hinting to the fact that, China thinks of itself as the center of the world, the most important (this is not my opinion, just what the kanji is alluding to) (and there are over 3000 individual kanji) and names mean things 未来 is Mirai, and it’s means “the future”.
And of course that’s just skimming off the top, I’d really recommend looking into it, even if you aren’t bothered in learning Japanese, there are some amusing ones :)
(The letters that make up penguin in Chinese directly translate to business goose, for example)
For the Jojo fans reading this, the reason Josuke higashikata is called jojo is because the last kanji of his name can be read as jo, but with context it’s read as ta/kata
I'm glad I randomly found this here, I've started learning Japanese and I had no idea, so thank you :D
It's also so hurtful to "opposite-sex" friendships when parents ban you from hanging out with them, creating idea that opposite Sex relationships are automatically "sexual" or whatever while same Sex are automatically platonic
Jamidodger: "todays sponsor for this video-"
me: **beings to skip over ad**
Jamidodger: "is pride consoling!"
me: **stops**
A friend pointed out how the "no" in "no ho mo" kind of looks like a butt and now I'm wheezing because that just adds another gay layer to this whole thing.
You mean the "m", right?
parents wanting to entirely control their children's relationships just screams abuse imo
Jamie, you are one of the few things that keep me going every day, Thank you so much for being here as a loving and caring creator on youtube! From this trans girl, Thank you!
I picked a new middle name for myself the other day and for a second I panicked and thought I had picked the same middle name as Donald Trump
Oh my God thank you so fucking much for the ad!! My fiancé who is trans has been looking for a therapist but it has been hell!! Hopefully this will help
For those wondering, the Twitter commenter confused Grindr with Parler, which is basically the ÜberFaceBook for Trump fans.
"I like yellow and pink, but most people might not like the color combination" I thought of Fluttershy and then I got mad at myself
3:45 You heard it here folks
Enbies can’t ride bikes.
Yellow and pink = strawberry banana
I love strawberry banana.
I love your pfp it’s very nice
That contestant on Family Fortunes reminds me of the time a Tory MP tweeted an accusation that Scottish National Party MP John Nicholson was employing his wife as his parliamentary secretary.
John Nicholson tweeted his response, "My boyfriend will be furious when he finds out."
I wanted to thank you for your information on Pride Counseling. I got it from a previous video, and have been using it for awhile now
I got so sad when he said "And that's all the memes for today !"
I need more gay in my life
I kinda feel that way, with ALL the LGBTQ+ memes. It always over too SOON! -_-
About the last one, when I came out I was 16 and a few girls I was friends with didn’t want to hug me anymore (although that was common in our friend group)
But they did want to hug the males in our group 🤷🏼♀️
Needless to say that friendships didn’t last.
7:42 I remember seeing that "No, I'm gay" clip on an out takes compilation show - it was more than 30 years ago :)
You came up in my random recommendations today and I have to say I’ve been binging your videos and have subscribed because you are an utter delight.
Woo new Jamie videooo!

For example, "Jamie's channel" translated to Japanese and spelled phonetically would be "jiemi no channeru."
Typing in "no ho mo" in Google translate then basically becomes typing in " 's gay", but since there's no noun or name in front of the no/'s Google just leaves it out, and just "ho mo" gets translated to "gay"
HONESTLY WHY DID IT TAKE TWITTER SO LONG AHHHHHHH
really excited about today’s sponsor, I just came out to my therapist and she invalidated me hella so I’m gonna be looking into this. thanks Jamie!!
