"I'll sit as gay as I want"
Lmao me as a kid but I didn't know I was gay, I just thought I was cool and it doubled as a protest against female stereotypes.
Whoops I'm a pansexual agender transmasc who goes by he/him and they/them
@@NyoomMonster hello, big dumb here, what is transmasc?
@@Schnort trans masculine
I'm physically transitioning in a typically masculine direction and I prefer some masculine things (ie pronouns) over gender neutral things. Basically I like and want some of the male characteristics without seeing or presenting myself as a male, because that's how I see myself in my head and what I feel most comfortable with.
Like for instance, I'm a Furry, and I tend to use my Fursona, Ridley, to express my gender. Ridley has a deeper and more masculine voice (I have a high pitched androgynous voice), a flat chest, bottom growth, athletic masculine build (think runner/agility), he's tall (6'10"), and he uses he/him pronouns primarily. What I project onto him as a secondary image of myself has helped me figure out what I like in a way that's less confused by my agender identity. And having the ability to draw him and get art of him has helped me cope with my dysphoria, and I am excited to be able to better represent him post-transition in costume.
Fursonas help Furries be more comfortable with who they are and visualize what they like about themselves more clearly, and when you're able to get a costume (called a fursuit), it can help you feel more comfortable in your own skin, too, because you connect better with that image of yourself, and so do other people. Fursuiting helped me find myself, and it helps comfort me. And subconsciously building Ridley's character to match who I want to be helps me work out my self esteem issues and be kinder to myself, and helps me figure out where I want to be so I can be who I am comfortable being.
@@NyoomMonster I've never considered fursuiting in this kind of way. I usually associate it with gross things because that's the stereotype. Thanks for the explanation, and I am glad that you have found a way to take care of yourself.

*Leia crying in the corner*
I like how Raid is sponsoring literally everything I consume these days.
It's not even fun. It's just another casino simulator.
Me, a girl that has the same handwriting as my dad: Something's wrong here. 😳
Omg you too?
My dad literally said the only way he can tell our notes apart is that if it's in English it's mine (we're Hungarian and he doesn't speak English because he was born in the 50s when it was literally banned)
"Seafood is for women"
Me with an allergy to shrimp: that explains why I am questioning.
Literally me lol
i hate seafood with a burning passion, except for haddock, this really helps with my questioning
Just to explain the “male sense of humour”
As kids we always heard adults, specifically our dads, saying women are not funny and as a kid you don’t understand it’s just sexism and I was one of those kids who went around saying I have “a male sense of humour”. It’s stupid but it’s not kids’ fault for saying it. It’s adults, who make it seem like women can’t be funny.
Ouch. That's a trip. I just realised my dad used to make that comment. I grew up thinking I was funny anyway because I was raised as a boy.
That idiot still thinks I am, too. Can't wait to get my next aggressively gendered birthday card in the mail.
Anyway. Shit like that is why there are so few women even pursuing comedy 😠
The bullshit goes the full way around.
Boys would often compliment me on being funny just because I had a slightly faster wit than them.
I could never be "hot" but being "witty" was the next best thing. It was always said as if they were shocked which made it a very weak compliment.
I wanted to be a comedian when I was little but I thought I couldn’t do it because girls aren’t supposed to be funny (I’m non-binary now btw)
so to them "male sense of humor" is .... having humor.
I think it's a reference to the complaint that women don't have a sense of humor because we don't find misogynistic "jokes" funny.
"Wasn't ray a female jedi?"
Asokah:*Cries in bestgirl*
My first thought too. I don't know many, but I know her, and I can't remember ever thinking she couldn't be jedi because she was a girl. She just... was? I've never really understood gendering things.
@@PanthereaLeonis true that
Yaddle, Tahl, Jocasta Nu, Adi Gallia, Stass Allie, Aayla Secura, Shaak Ti, Ahsoka Tano, Barriss Offee, Luminara Unduli, Depa Billaba, Bultar Swan, Bant Eerin, Siri Tachi, Rey Skywalker, Jaina Skywalker, Mara Jade, Nomi Sunrider....
"sea food is for women"
My afab ass being allergic to sea food: well, that explains alot
The best response to someone who says some gendering crap to you, either about you or someone you know, is “so I’m/they’re trans?” Watch the weirdo either stumble over themselves or go silent.

5:15 I used to work for a Starbucks and had an older coworker who told me multiple times “men who drink tea aren’t real men” and this gave me such intense flashbacks 😐 I explained entire cultures drink tea regularly and she would not change her mind
Funfact: In German, this insect thing is called "Gottesanbeterin" which is "a femal who prays to god". No womantis needed.
“seafood is for women”
my mom is a vegetarian-
Well you tell her she's gotta become a strict pescatarian now 😆 no more vegetables!
i hate seafood so ig im a man now
I’m a trans guy and I just recently came out to my friends, and a few weeks ago we were hanging out and I was sitting with my legs crossed and one of my (cis guy) friends said “I don’t get how y’all can sit with your legs crossed, it’s so uncomfortable.. oh wait it’s because I’m a b-I have extra bits” and it made me so happy that he corrected himself instead of saying it was because he was a boy
Congrats on coming out!
Raid shadow legends has infiltrated all my youtubers.. from you, to my pet youtubers, to science youtubers, to art youtubers, to drama channels, to philosophy youtubers. Like damn they got all the bases covered smh
Ikr? They even got into the 2A community lol
The 'sit like a lady' is so relate able for me. My dad always says that, but I just want to sit how I'm comfortable.
I am cis myself but my friend recently came out as trans and your videos, not specifically this one, are helping me educate myself on being trans so that I can be a better, more supportive friend to him. also your vids are very entertaining as well.
That’s really cool! You are a great friend
Awww everyone needs a friend like that :) you're doing amazing
That's very wholesome! I hope you've learned a lot recently!
yay, you rule my non-uncool cis person
Jamie: “Bisexuals don’t know how to sit”
Me, yelling @ my phone: “DON’T CALL ME OUT LIKE THAT!”
Same
These always make me feel smarter.
