Shoutout to Dr. Grande for taking time out of his day every day to do research and pump out daily content for us while also being a working doctor! Thank you!

Agree. This takes a lot of work we know that. Thank you for the quality channel Dr Grande✌🏻
He got sacked
@@darrend1279 Wait what? How do you know?
I love Dr. Grande’s diversity in content!
Diverse interests are a sign of intelligence.
We all need to acknowledge that The Cocaine Hippos needs to be a rock band name.

Get out of my brain...I agree 100%!! :)

I´m from Medellin Colombia and lived in the middle of all the madness of colombia during the late 80s and 90´s as a kid. it was terrifying, we were all in fear because of all the violence that this man started. i found this video very accurate and interesting.
Omg. Poor you. Must have been terrifying
@ Jaun Pable Glad you made it through in one piece!
Woah I can’t even imagine something so terrifying. What are your thoughts on the Netflix adaptation? I know his son fucking hates it.
@Juan Pablo please do tell us, was he really that loved by the lower classes and working class people? I've read different accounts about it. Did he really improve the city's infrastructure so much as they portraited it? Ohmahgahh so many questions
@@mkxv1 even though I didn’t live back then ,I can say the lowerclass praised him and even thought of him as a god and he def did help out with a lot but only to bribe and gain respect from the poor so he had people on his side and wouldn’t turn him in to the police .
The government didn't build a prison for him.
He built it himself: picked the location, designed it, and all the prison guards and staff were picked by him.
😏 if any of us had to go in we would all want to go in like that. I would have done my time. Idiota he was. He forgot people don’t forget. Everyone has a weak spot. Like a dog to bacon he drooled and stumbled for a little taste of nothing. I mean I’m not saying this is what’s happening here only what could be happening in a situation like this.
You've been watching too much narcos
@@simonmessenger7217 actually it says that in his documentary.
@@simonmessenger7217 It really did happen. His prison had a pool, a large lounge, a club, everything a top of the line mansion could ever want.
@@catchtwenty22 🙊yes..I love that Grande catch-phrase above all else.☻
I'm not saying that's what's happening here....
" in the end of his life he became paranoid, as hundreds of people wants to kill him , it kind made sense"... priceless
😂😂😂😂Of course his dumbass was killing people for no reason.
aka "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you.” ― Joseph Heller, Catch-22
A very dark and shameful time for Colombia, I can’t comprehend how some people consider this individual a role model when his legacy ( even today) brings pain and sorrow to more than one generation. For goodness sake even his hippos are carrying on his legacy of destruction!!
Thanks Dr Grande, you rock ❤️
I totally believe in your theory of Escobar's Attack Hippos. Obviously, he did plan well ahead, that Pablo.
“Them boom, attack hippo”
His dry humour always catches me off guard 🤣
'Cocaine Hippos' pretty much sums this whole world up in 2 words.
@@jamesw17 A total pain in the ass in a nightclub bathroom stall too.
The comments!!🤣😂
@@jamesw17 He's good cover though. I mean, if there's a hippo there you can pretty much scoot out unseen. Nobody is looking at anything other than the Hippo. You could be Ted Bundy and nobody would even care
@@jamesw17 😂🤣
“Hippos” sums up united states😂😂
He died on 12/02 and you uploaded this video on 12/2, wow what a timing! 👌🏼
I learned a lot about Pablo Escobar from this video. Thank you for all the research and for packing this info in a concise, meticulous and entertaining manner.
Wonderful job as always!❤️

Mental
Ooooooooh excellent suggestion! 👏
Yes!!!
I’m from Medellin, Colombia and I would just like to thank you for doing a (very much expected) accurate video of just what type of person he was and giving context on the horrific things that man did. Since foreigners tend to glorify him and use the “but he was good, he gave money to the poor argument”, it’s refreshing to see an unbiased analysis made for the internet to see.
I’m not diagnosing anyone, only speculation that he was a drug kingpin.
Lol I know! gold
doubt it, stop spreading lies, crazy person smh
Lol
El Chapo would be another good subject, just an idea. Great video as always Dr. Grande!
Id love to see one on Joaquín Guzmán "El Chapo Guzman" He may be right up there with Pablo Escobar.
Haven't even watched the video yet but just wanted to say you're awesome, Dr. Grande. Love your content and please continue making such interesting and sarcastic videos!
Dude's humor is dryer than turkey breast out the microwave. Funny tho
Good point lol

Wine and Dr. Grande's videos...... my "wild night" after putting the kids to bed! Excellent as always!
Dr. Grande's videos are one of the highlights of my days due to his humor! We all need a little humor daily with everything going on right now.
Grande with another banger
Really? I thought this was incredibly shallow compared to some of his other content. Escobar was often in the public eye and there are several intriguing episodes to his life, so it should be possible to provide a more evidence-based analysis with direct quotations or testimonials by those around him. All of that is missing which, considering the immense notoriety and criminal success of this individual, is underwhelming and underachieving on Dr. Grande's part. Perhaps if the goal is merely tittillation and advertising revenue then mission accomplished, but I think more interesting things can surely be said about one that brutally robbed, manipulated and slaughtered his way to unthinkable power.
As an erstwhile avid watcher of this channel, this video is a shadow of some of the earlier analyses completed on notorious criminals. It is, sadly, more of a fizzler than a banger for me.
I asked for this last week! Thank you so much Dr. Grande, I appreciate you. 💙
I love the ending of the analysis with the hippos taking over 😅
Very interesting, as usual, Dr. Grande.
Yes! I knew you had to talk about the hippos! They're as adorable as they are dangerous
Thanks for all your diligence Dr. Grande. I’ve learned a lot from you.
I swear I was just thinking about whether or not you would ever do a video on Escobar and then I get this in my recommendations. You sir are amazing.
I am here for this! Great topic Dr. Grande. 🙌
My favorite part of the day arrived, the new videos of Dr. Grande. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience while making us laugh at the same time in these very difficult and lonely times. Cannot wait to see this one! Thanks again, Dr. Grande!

You really had me with the surprise hippo attack plan 😅😅😅
Great video and analysis!!
I'm from Colombia, and will friendly fact check the great doctor: here it is believed he wasn't so wealthy. Also, he did a lot more damage than was mentioned. He kidnapped and killed relatives of prominent politicians, he also kidnapped Andres Pastrana, who would later become president. It's also a fact that he was behind the attack on the supreme court (the guerrillas and his first man, Popeye, have said he financed the guerrillas to burn it down, in order to erase his criminal record). He also killed the minister of justice (who had uncovered that he was indeed a drug dealer, at that time Escobar was a member of the House of Representatives). He also bombed the security services building. He was left leaning and killed the candidate of the liberal party (the right wing paramilitaries killed the rest of the candidates, who were either former guerrilla fighters or members of the communist party). When he killed some of his cronies at his private prison, he burned the bodies in the yard, and the smoke could be seen from Medellin. The government immeadiately sent the army to assault the prison, and he hardly managed to escape with his first man (Popeye). They found shelter in the rural villages deep in the mountains. The alliance to bring him down was between the Cali Cartel, the paramilitaries, the government and the DEA. He didn't kill himself, he was shot by a famous coronel of the police, who is now a corrupt politician.
Finally, I think he didn't stay quiet in prison for a simple reason: he had too many enemies, and they were pushing hard to take over his empire. He needed to push back to protect his family and his money. His first man Popeye told the whole story of why he kept commiting crimes while in prison. He even held many meetings there with his enemies trying to find a peace deal. But his enemies wanted him out.
Yes 👍 that’s what I heard and watch in the documentary. He was evil asf and his enemies wanted him gone.
I watch for both the analysis and your humour, great in equal measure!!
One of the best videos Dr Grande appreciated

The Steve Miller Band song Take The Money and Run popped into my head when you said "he could take the money and run"

A couple fun facts, he was spending millions of dollars each month in elastic bands, just to organize the cash, also, he was losing around one million a day, due to rats eating the cash in the warehouses where the money was kept.

Escobar was larger than life. In a world that's almost always on the lookout for the next big thing, he was always trying to be the next big thing. And very often he succeeded. Ultimately he could not control his impulses and those impulses brought him down. The irony is that his success was built on exploiting the inability of others to control their impulses.
A very good summary of Treadwell's mental condition
Dr. Grande, I just watched the Amityville video, and man, you cracked me up with the straight faced delivery of the "demonic pig meat" disclaimers. You do have some piss and vinegar in you! How refreshing! Rock on Grande!

The hippo commentary made my day. Thank you.
Next, can we talk about the hippos possible anger management issues?
🤣🤣
His Mom really grated my nerves on Narcos lol It's like she didn't understand the gravity of the situation at all
Happy December Doc! Great video. I've heard he was a good man to his people...yet he was capable of those terrible things...very interesting
He was just using them for their loyalty. He got a whole network of spies that would never rat him out to the police.
We are very ashamed he was Colombian since Colombia is such a wonderful country. I live quite near the place in which he started his gang. Thankfully, our neighborhood is safe now and we're slowly teaching new generations that hard work and studying is the clue for a better life. The person at the funeral home that embalmed his body confirmed that he was shot. For poor minded people here in the city, he's still a hero, but for most of the people from Medellín and all Colombians, his memory is a curse.
Dr. Grande, it appears the hippos fail to be aware of or much less follow the hippocratic oath... Another insightful and informative analysis.
Nooooooooo..... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Because they are hippocrites
That was incredibly interesting Dr. Grande, thank you!
I've watched documentaries on him and people like him, which always leaves me thinking that there is no amount of money that would make that lifestyle even a tiny bit worth it. You'd have to be full on paranoid when you get to that level to survive, because in that world who could you truly trust?!
I never knew about the hippos, but of course he'd have such brutish animals. Loved your wrap up about them! 😄
Great analysis Dr Grande, but I feel I'm in the wrong job "$70 million a day"LOL Thanks Dr Grande!.
Right? That made me drop my tablet!🤔
