Ariola Granola don’t worry, I was the same , I went from a 9 at gcse to getting C’s and B’s throughout the majority of year 12 and only towards the end of the year I started hitting A’s but it’s very normal so don’t worry too much and keep working at it, as during year 12 I hated English but now it’s my favourite A level😊

Room decor suggestion: you could get a pretty (cheap) tapestry and pin it to your pin board by your bed (and pin the pictures on top). If you get a light colour it will really brighten up/ bring more colour to that dark corner

I started with alevel literature, history and english language, but I'm switching language for art because I'm naturally a creative person and with the amount of work I've gotten so far, I haven't been able to do much art in my spare time. My tip is to choose subjects you love, because they take up so much of your time that it's easier for one of your subjects to also be your down time!

I'm from Hong Kong. And when Lydia said that doing 6 hours a day is like a full day of studying, I thought like wtf. My classmates did 14 hours per day every single day which was literally insane. (I was the lazy one to do only like 3 hours a day and spend the rest of the day playing with my phone)

Just try as hard as you can and try to keep revisiting things you struggle with. I found doing lots of practice papers really helpful in year 11 😊👍🏻

I’m from Ireland and our version of A-Level exams is the leaving certificate exams and we HAVE to take irish(the language) english and maths, we also have to do 4 other subjects of our choice. I would absolutely love to go through the english education system it seems so much easier🙃😞
