Revision With Eve well done Eve lass ! Xxx
who else is STRESSING about GCSE results... I keep watching Eve's videos to keep my morale up. Only a month and two days to go... :/
nish Stay strong fellow year 11s!!
nish I did my gcse's overseas and got my results this Jan. I honestly felt like crying after a few exams but they turned out good! They also grade shift so you could get half the questions right and come out with a B or higher! You'll be okay trust me!
Keep in mind that I did the bare minimun studying
Results day is on my birthday too😖
I live in Scotland so only 16 days until results.😬😬 I did the equivilant of A levels this years. So terrified.....
I’m frigging scared for A levels cos of coronavirus
Me too. We have nothing else to do, except like prep for a levels
EXACTLY!
Im also stressing because I will be moving to the UK in the summer for A levels, and IM FREAKING TERRIFIED. The change in environment, the fast paced difficult sixth form lessons, having to make friends all over again...it’s just slowly killing me
Detroit Become Beyonce from Detroit? Whereabouts are you moving to?
Joe I’m not from Detroit lol. I’m moving to Leeds.
Class of 2019 where you at? 😅
The last class of the decade!
ItsAoife xo class of 2020 👌
Ayyy
what does that mean?
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
So doing an EPQ might not lower your offer but doing one was the single most useful thing I did to prepare myself for uni (way more useful than my three a levels combined) so I would 100% recommend doing one if you are able to fit it in
Context: I studied geography, English lit and history at a level (A*AA), got an A* in my EPQ and now midway through a history degree at Edinburgh university
rollcallishere I'm sorry if this is a bother, but I've aspired to go Edinburgh since forever! how difficult was it to get in? what else did you have in your UCAS? do you think doing the EPQ helped you get into uni?
I’m binging these sorts of videos as I start sixth form tomorrow! Excited and nervous ahh
these videos are a life saver! PLEASE KEEP UPLOADING THEM!
Anyone else not done anything for 5 months and feel like they should do something... but still cba?!
Melissa Moss 🤚
really wish i had videos like this before i started my alevels, im hopefully going to uni in september and i love all of your videos xx
I've just finished my first year of college and I don't need to do revision for my course (I study art) yet I still watch your videos because they're so enlightening and calming so thank you!
Thank you so much! About to start my summer work on Monday and I needed other advice.
Yasss, I've been waiting for this!!!! Love your videos gurll!!!😊
Yayy I'm glad you uploaded I'm starting college in September and this was really helpful xx
So glad you made this , I'm starting sixth form in September and nobody has been able to give me good advice 😂 love your videos eve and good luck with your AS results - you'll smash it ! Xx
I've never been so excited for a video
I'll be going into sixth form soon. I will be doing maths, chemistry, physics and bio. I really admire you a lot Eve and I really hope to see how well I can do when I challenge myself at sixth forms. I am really terrified rn but I am pumped too. Love you Eve! ❤❤❤💗
Thanks for answering my question Eve!😁👍
This made me feel soo much better man thank you so much🙌🏾, actually shitting it for august 24th tho praying my hard work shows😩🙏🏾
I love your videos coz they're soo helpful for my going to sixth form. Soo excited and thanks for your tips
who else has to move schools bc their school doesn't have a sixth form
Me - There aren't even any sixth form near me, I'm going to college
Mahou Kat it's the same thing, it's called "sixth form college"
yep
Me
@@senj28 my school sort of did have a sixform but not very good so I want to college instead
this was really helpful - going into year 13 (lower sixth) and I think the point you made about making notes when going along will be vital for Bio and Geog! for French and German I think it's just a case of trying to grasp as much vocab as possible and put things into practice where possible :)
petermcclure12 lower sixth is Y12
I'm from Northern Ireland! Here, our secondary schools run from Yr 8-14, so our GCSEs are Yr 11-12 and A Levels Yr 13-14 :)
petermcclure12 oh ok I'm thinking in English terms so we have it one year lower :)
yeah I know! i think it's weird the way we have different schooling systems haha, makes it hard to explain to someone not from NI and vice versa!
@petermcclure is there any advice you have for biology and geography I am taking them next year
I needed this, im so worried for sixth form. thankyou so much! 💙
Primrose kitten got me through my science GCSEs 🙌🏼
Cheer Ads i binged watched her vids about a month before my maths gcse, and i went from scraping a 5 to getting a solid high 7 this summer 2019!!!
This was so useful because I'm starting sixth form in September, doing English lit, French, modern history and fine art so your advice for English lit and languages was so helpful! Although I feel like it will be a big jump for me because my high school doesn't have a sixth form so I'm going to a college further away and it's so much bigger and different than high school! X
Yes!!! Needed this!
Hey Eve, please if you can, make a video showing your organisation for your subjects (folders etc) or how you make notes. When people say 'revise' I really struggle because I don't know what type of revision is effective or how to learn things I find boring, reading over notes doesn't seem effective enough. If you could make a video on your revision techniques that'd be amazing! Love your videos, you inspire me so much. Thank you.
Just so you know the jump from AS to A2 is huge, you'll notice it in exam season! I started revising for AS in December for mocks and it worked great but for A2 it is worthwhile making notes from September because the amount of work you're expected to do is insane!
This is perfect! Thank you!
This is so useful for uni too! Thank you ☺
So helpful Eve! A few questions I have are, how can you try to connect more with people in different year groups and friendship groups to you? And how did you make notes in class - especially for politics and languages? - Would you write down all the concepts even if you were going to make notes on them, or only select certain bits to write down - how would ypu choose what to write down? Great video x
I've finished (the Irish equivalent to) A levels and I'm going to uni in September but I'm still watching this :')
P.S You look amazing in this video 😍
hey eve please could you do a video on what you should buy before you start college like folders organisation etc
Aami Ashraf YES!!!!
So helpful, thankyou eve ❤️❤️
I'm not even going into sixth form , I'm going in year 11, but I just love Eve's videos so much!😂
Why am I watching this even though I'm in my last year of A Levels??? Because I love this account!
GCSE to AS is a huge jump, but AS to A level is an even bigger one, so just hold onto your hats cos you're in for a bumpy ride
Abigail Maynard can't agree more. The gap between as maths and a2 maths is just to big to even comprehend
When can we stop jumping though?😂
That line sounds so british and i imagined some ladies in the victorian era wearing those big floppy hats in a convertible lol
Wait, what's AS? Is it important? Why is there a jump between AS and A-level?
.
Thank you so much this was super helpful! Also you're very pretty ^^
Thank you so useful!! 💞
congrats on passing ur theory!!
Loved this, could you do a video like this for what to do this summer when you are going into year 11? X
Amy B relax! Make the most of the break, then when it gets to September just keep on top of work! Most importantly whenever year 11 mocks are take them seriously!! It will give you such a boost for the real thing😊
I am so nervous starting sixth form, I don’t know what to expect and results day its approaching, ahhhh
This motivates me so much omg
I would love a video on choosing subjects for Sixth Form? Or maybe advice on what to do if your results aren't what you expected (you can tell how much confidence I have in my results haha)
locketgirl8500 she already made a video about this on Primrose Kitten's channel😊😊
I would love it if you did a video about the oxford university thing you kept on talking about x
this has helped so much, thank you! i'm stressing a little bc my school doesn't have sixth form so i'm moving to a different school. i just hope i make friends quickly 😂
I only have like 4 days of school left and I’m honestly feeling really bittersweet about it :/ I’m going to miss the lessons I would always complain about and just being in the classroom with everyone:(
Ahh this is so helpful thank you!!! Xxx
I actually can't wait to watch this!! 💗💗 Also congrats on passing your driving theory test xx
Love your videos 💞😊
My school gave me 'summer work' for each of my subjects to do over the holidays to prepare for sixth form... 😑 But, I guess it's quite a manageable amount and if I put some effort into it, it'll hopefully give me some confidence for the start of next year. 💙
If anyone wants to do an EPQ in 2nd year of college (year 13) and wants to do a science (chemistry, physics, maths) at uni, please do it! They're amazing to speak about in your personal statement and further at interviews, they show the uni that you're interested in a specific area of research (plus they help with learning how to research, cite and condense information). The skills are transferable to writing lab reports, essays and your dissertation (if you do a masters or PhD). I did chemistry, biology, maths and an EPQ about phthalates, and ended up with an A*AAB. Most unis wont lower grades or count it, but they do count it in terms of UCAS points. It is manageable even when I had a maths and a chemistry research project too.
Poppy Rendall do you have to present in front of large groups of people?
Poppy Rendall the sixth form I am hopefully going to has every student do an EPQ so yh...
Ali so does mine😭😭
Please can you do an advice video on starting year 11 - I really want to make the most of it :). Xx
I doesn’t feel like I have a summer because our teachers set us loads of summer work on induction day for each of our a levels. E.g for physics she made us purchase the cpg a level head start book, learn and answer all questions. That’s not even all we have to do... 😌
Nitrogens I’ve given myself the whole of July as a break. And then once August starts I’m going to do my summer work.
I got really stressed when she said that you should revise your mocks like it's your real exams cause I definetly didn't do that x(
xx sabina xx sis I didn’t even revise for my real exams like they were my real exams I’m absolutely shitting it for results day
ILYSMM ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Why am I watching this, I'm American lol
Idk why this made me laugh
This is what I needed😘
I used to and still do get anxious and get bad moments during lessons and in exams etc during gcse and in school in general. I used to see a councillor but she was patronising and intimidating so it didn't work and I'm still unable to control my nerves. BE HONEST- am I going to cope with A levels because I'm so nervous and also how do you cope with it?
Please do a video on sixth form supplies to bring
could you please do one for year 11? the stress is real. please help x
I don't live in UK,but I enjoy watching eve😇
Hi eve, I find your videos so helpful. I attend a performing arts school where I do my three a levels (art, theatre studies and business) from 8 until 1 and then vocational training in acting, singing and dancing from 1 until 6:30. meaning I have barely any time in the evenings to do my school work. just wondering if you have any tips on how to pass my a levels as well as staying sane at the same time :)
could you possibly do a video on how to be prepared for the first day of college/sixth form? (like the bits you should take) :)))))))
hellooo eve please do a video on how to make mindmaps on sciences and theory subject if u can I think it has been requested alot thx
Hi can you do a video about your a level politics experience because im really undecided on whether i should choose it x
This is so helpful
This video was so helpful! What revision guides do you use for English lit?xx
Can you do a what's in my school bag? 🙈
i am so scared for sixth form i am going to a whole new school and none of my friends are coming to the same school as me
Would you recommend using 1 folder for school with dividers for each subject, having 4 other separate folders at home and emptying the day folder everyday for a smaller load to carry?
I don't have a choice but to move to a new school in September only because my high school doesn't have a sixth form 😂but the sixth form I'm going to is the one closest to me and it allows me to do the subjects I want which is good! Most of my friends are going to different sixth forms from me so I hope I make new friends quickly!
That is the same as me!
Lucy Cole awh thanks that's really encouraging! I had an induction day a few weeks ago and I met some people who are also going to the sixth form and some of the people in my taster lessons seemed nice! I think it's daunting because most of them are staying there from high school so they've already made close friends with each other so it'll take time but hopefully it will turn out good! 😊
Same here but the difference is that it takes 30 minutes by bus to get there and all my friends go the same sixth form than me!
It’s late but you will bond with people over the fact that you are on the verge of a mental breakdown
Can you do a video on how to prepare for year 11 x Thank you in advance 💖
Hi Eve! Where did u get the vocabulary from for Spanish since there's no official list
Idk why I'm watching this because I don't live in Britain, but I just discovered your channel and am binging like all your videos 😂😂
I love your shirt 😍 it's so pretty
Hey eve! I'm going into A2 eng lit this year and I'm still so stressed! Any advice on how to write notes I'm still trying so many techniques and they're not working!😅
Obviously Beth i
So scared to take Chemistry, Biology and German at a-levels, it seems so much work!!
Cherry McCartney I'm doing Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Geography 😂😂
I found that A Levels were a jump because there was just more content to learn and for my school, there was a lot of homework. I also found it hard because I wasn't doing as well in terms of grades at the start of the year
Can you do like a general GCSE video with any advice and tips because I'm going into year 10
You said you want to do English for university. Do you what kind of career you would go to? I like English Lit to however I don't know what good career I can do
Hello, I'm a student who will be starting college in September and was just wondering if you are expected to use your textbooks much in class or not. I found at the preview days at my college, the lessons involved lots of talking and small sheets of paper so I'm unsure as to whether or not you really use your textbooks in class or not.
Thanks!
EVE - I'm taking English Literature and Language, Spanish and Sociology. Should I take combined English or separately? I don't know what career I want and I love English but if I do them separately I may have too much English?! And is Spanish so much harder then GCSE?
We have so much homework from induction day to "prove our dedication" and if we don't do it we aren't allowed to take the subject
I'll be starting a levels soon. I am taking maths, bio, phy and chem. I love all those subjects, I'm really hoping to get A's for my AS. I am super nervous but I will put in my best effort. 💓💓📝
750 in your school! That's so tiny! I have 2000
Could you do an advice/preparation video for applying for English at university?
Do you know of any English Lit youtubers other than Mr Bruff who do videos on the AQA A spec? I'm starting English lit next year and am terrified as I didn't even have an English teacher for GCSE so realistically my grades aren't going to be great😬
Allys L crash course literature is good, but not as in depth, they have videos on a large variety of novels and plays. Im also doing AQA A next year.
Allys L Mr Salles and Mrs Whelan are both great too, though I used them more for English language and mainly just mr bruff for lit
Allys L mr salles is a good one!
Deciding what a levels do and debating French. Should I only do a language if I'm almost fluent because I'm good but not amazing
where is my Class Of 2020
Bushra YAYYYY
Pleaseeeee do more study with me live streams 💕
Next year at your school do you still do 3 lessons for each of your subjects and have more frees, or do more lessons in your remaining subjects? Xx
Sorry maybe a stupid question but do the predicted grades from the subjects you have go to the university?
Eve if u drop a subject like u did for politics do u have to replace that with another subject or u just leave it thanksxx
I'm the complete opposite of what you said first, my jump from alevel to gcse was huge because I take maths and science if you don't do humanities subjects definitely revise from September or you'll be in over your head by December
I just started my a levels.
Do you put your mind-maps in the same folder as your class notes ?? Xxx
LIFE SAVERRRRRRRRRRR
Don't even know where the fuck I'm going this September smh
I ditched all my sixth form and college interviews and have no knowledge at all
