  • A review of the new Taurus TS9 striker fired, 17 round pistol. Is it a good gun for the price? I had been waiting to find out, and finally got my hands on one.

    TN resident myself….
    I appreciate you taking the time to make this video , this will not replace the G3 series .. its just a military overrun
    The TS9 is a tank … made for heavy and duty use … actually NATO approved… which means it went through and passed NATO 20,000 round tests
    The gun was originally designed with a manual safety but those imported into the US has had the safety removed..
    You can find these for less than $250

    Great content! Couldn't find anything negative about the TS9s, other than Taurus haters, hating all things taurus. I bought my grandson one, he'll be here tomorrow, early birthday gift. I bought my son a TH40c as well.

    Its like you read my mind. I havent been a Taurus guy in the past. I am a Die hard card carrying member of the Steyr pistol fan club. And thats what i first thought of when seeing this new Taurus TS9. I purchased a TX 22 on a whim last year and its been great and i loved the Ergos. Recently picked up a GX4 Carry and i am very impressed with it too. Taurus is no longer a joke in the firearms industry.

    The management of Taurus USA has improved with new CEO and marketing manager both gun industry guys. Bret Vorhees was with Walther before Taurus. This TS9 pistol has been in police and military service now for many years and the US has only just got in some over production guns so its doubtful that the US will see more of them. Taurus and SIG have some of the best ergonomics on the market. The GX4 has been a big hit also but a deal breaker for me having no manual safety that I demand on a striker pistol. Thanks for sharing.

      @@Preacher357 purchased at Shooter’s on Hwy 641. Funny thing is I went there sept of 23 just to look at guns. He had a used Taurus (can’t remember model) for $295. So when I was ready to buy I went back there hoping to buy that particular gun, but it had been sold. So he showed me a brand new G3, I liked the way it fit my hand. So when I found out it was $30 more for brand new over $295 used, I “pulled the trigger” and bought it! Haven’t looked back on the purchase.

    This pistol reminds me of a striker-fired version of the TH series that Taurus produces. The TH pistols are hammer-fired and the slide has different features (such as the loaded indicator being on the side of the slide versus on the top) but otherwise looks like the same gun. Ergonomics are practically identical. Thanks for posting 😊.

    You should move the rear sights to the left instead if the gun is shooting to the left..

    • @Preacher357
      @Preacher357  Před 3 měsíci +4

      That is not correct. If it is shooting to the left then you need to move the point of impact to the right. You then should move the rear sights the same direction that you want to move the point of impact; in this case that is to the right.

    What's your opinion on the Taurus G2S? Thanks

    • @Preacher357
      @Preacher357  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I've never tried the G2S, but as far as I know it was basically just a single stack version of the G2C. As such, I can't imagine it being a bad gun at all. The G2C was an excellent pistol. The G2S is just slimmer and holds, I believe, 5 fewer rounds. The question, then, is whether that slimmer profile is important enough to you to sacrifice capacity. Furthermore, with some of the options out now, such as the GX4, can you get a smaller gun now that works just as well while still maintaining the same round count?

    Taurus T9 wasn't intended to be sold in the United States and designed for Philippine National Police and Military use. Have three of them. There's a FDE version but it's not avalible in the United States. They are in the United States because of overrun and cam be pulled by Taurus at anytime.

    These are great guns, however slide bite is user error the gun has plenty of tail end to get high and tight without going over board and getting caught by the slide….. for crying out loud it’s a 9mm so how high n tight do you need to be? 😂

    • @Preacher357
      @Preacher357  Před 3 měsíci
