The practical use is if you want a DA/SA carry gun that is small and compact, it's literally the only gun in its category.
@@gsp8489 Bersa might disagree with that.
I've had a Winchester Wildcat since it was released. I have had zero problems with it. I bought it to teach my kids to shoot a rifle. It's a fun, reliable, and inexpensive rifle. I like the ghost ring/peep sights. M14s, M1 Garand, M249, M240, and AR rifles use the same type of sights...and i am quite experianced with these type of sights. As you said, its east to break down and clean. I love this little rifle. It puts a smile on my face when i bring it to the range. Great review. 👍
Just bought mine last week. Been to the range only once. Still using the Iron Sights. The ADL bolt sure seems smoother than the 7400 semi.
You need to loss some weight and pistols will not bite your hand, thanks.
@@radioactive8245 Have you ever thought of changing your user name from radioactive8245 to captainobvious1234?
I would rather have a Marlin 60 that is essentially the same kind of rifle as my Winchester Model 190. Tube fed auto. Don't have to mess with mags. There are those that would argue that the Winchester Wildcat is just a Ruger 10/22 copy but a more modern version. I am not a fan of peep sights although I am not against them either just preferring straight iron sights. Thanks for sharing.
@@rbm6184 I will always love my model 60. Nothing will ever replace it.
Wow I like it
I agree, I have had one for over a year now and have say 1200 rounds thru it with no issues. You for about bolt release on left side of gun when changing mags. I don't really use it cause I'm use the pulling charging handle to chamber new cartridge. My first concern was maybe polymer rails on receiver for bolt travel but mine has showed no signs of wear. Like you I think it's a fantastic 22 and want the sporter model also. Take care
@scottmorgan1016 Yeah, putting plastic where it doesn't belong is going to be a problem down the road. Plastic does not hold up to the forces of torque, heat, and wear. Keep an eye on it over time.
I picked one up a few months ago. So far so good. Fast gun to clean compared to my others and shoots great. 👍 Nice review bud.
First!!!! Thanks Preacher!
Fixing on saving for that ruger model. Was trying to get the ruger gp100 wiley clapp #1752 model in 3in barrel for but hard to find and is discontinued. Ended up buying the ruger gp100 model #1771 4.2 barrel in 7shot cylinder.. happy with it but still want/need a sidearm for concealed carry here in Colorado. We enjoy our outdoors and wish to go up higher into our mountains. The 4.2 is great but finding out it'll probably stay at home for protection and out at the range for the family to go out plinking due to its longer barrel and weight. Looks like we'll get one for our next revolver. Thank you and may our lord Jesus bless us all. Psalm 145 KJV ✝️
I really don’t know what you’re talking about the trigger being heavy to pull it should be an improvement in the trigger.
That is what people have said, but according to my trigger gauge it was still really heavy. I think it was probably better than the original, but it still wasn't good. I am thinking about getting another to try to see if maybe I just got a bad one.
I subscribed
I have the sd40ve brand new I will be purchasing the sd9 2.0 next great review.
My 1958 production flattop has the rounded trigger guard and I have Arizona Custom Grips 'Magna Tusk" carved grips on mine - it rolls in my hand with each shot making it a joy to shoot even with hot loads. Of course they make the New Blackhawk 44 Mag with the round trigger guard now too...
The NRA is in transition. And people fail to remember that the NRA was first and foremost a firearm training organization and they still do a tremendous job with that. The NRA also stepped up and carried the standard for decades. The 10 years with Wayne in charge, things went south in terms of the ILA being effective, I agree. GOA is a great org but please don't dis on the NRA because it's is so much more than 'just' an activist org.
@@jacspring5459 ...and yet they never seem to mention anything else they do when they are begging for money. They use activism as a selling point, and then don't deliver. In fact they have been even complicit in some of the anti-gun bills that have been signed into law. Again this year they have given A+ ratings to state reps and senators in TN that don't deserve it and given lower ratings to the staunchest 2A supporters. While some of their programs I am sure are good and valuable, they need to stop calling themselves a gun rights organization until they are really ready to get in the fight. I am hoping we will see some improvement now that there is a change at the top, but so far it has seemed like more of the same.
The Ruger Blackhawk Flattop 3-screw 6.5" 44 Mag is the king. All others are trash. lol lol - OK, maybe not so... but its my favorite. Although, if somebody wanted to gift me say a Colt Anaconda, I wouldn't turn it away ha ha ha ha.
Great video brother i have a quick question if you have time please so i know these are called plinker aa the model but ive seen its called a rossi R98 is there anywhere on the gun that says R98 or just plinker???
@@blakewebb7776 It has 98 written on the underlug of the barrel on the right hand side. The box says R98 Plinker on it.
@@Preacher357 thank you sir thats very much appreciated keep up the work...!!!
Hey Preacher I have the exact same gun !I bought mine in 2016. It is one of the most beautiful revolvers I've ever laid eyes on! When I saw it at my local gun store I just had to have it! It's that simple. since then it's been my hiking gun and one of my night stand guns. I figure 7 rounds of 357 magnum should handle the job pretty well along with my Remington 870 tactical 12 gauge!! rock on and enjoy that masterpiece!!

@@petespurgeon343 I think they run around 400-450
I saw a video from Old English outfitters and they had the problem with that too and they drifted the front sight. You didn't have to go much and they had two of them come in that they had it had to move the sights on course somebody out there is saying you shouldn't have to do nothing to it because we monitor technology. They have a machine to center the sites but they're the old adage. When you got a human and involved in it, you could have a failure. In other words, the machine might be right on the nose, but there's a human element. You have a nice day. Be safe
I just purchased this pistol and had 1 light strike, multiple FTF and it shoots low left. Pretty disappointed. It's on its way back to FN for the failure to feed. What a pain in the butt
well can see why you need 7 shots what you need is 9mm about 25 shots
Is it available with a safety (a real thumb safety, not a dingus on the trigger)?
Not that I am aware of. I have never seen one with a manual safety and I don't see one on their website with one.
same as every video i have watched, hits to the left. a lot of people say it was their front sight that was not centered.
I had to adjust the rear sight
I got the 4.25” model and love it so far. I’m ok with the 6 shot capacity because the metal between the cylinder bores is thicker there so for durability I like that feature. Also easier to reload with a speed loader. Very well built revolver.
funny, my handloads would jam every time in my Glock G34 but my little SCCY CPX2 eats them and anything else. Love the CPX2, it has never jammed but would be nice to have a better trigger without adding the MCarbo trigger spring kit. You just talked me out of the DVG-1, thanks.
I have one and the CBA has a 18.5" barrel. Shoot it a lot. Don't know what you have
It is an 18.5 I believe. I just couldn't remember when I made the video.
I’m amazed that so many gun reviewers don’t understand that concept of maintenance. If you bought a motorcycle or car after a short break in period you would have it serviced. Lubed tighten clean and return to specs. Why would you expect to run hundreds of rounds and not service your firearm? I have a couple of keltec’s with over 5000 rounds, still going, and I have an expensive handgun that I’m still waiting on parts for. Not the firearms fault, it’s the operator.
@@Mike-i6n What would make you think I don't appreciate the need for maintenance? I generally clean my guns after every range session. However, a quality firearm should be able to run a decent amount of rounds without being cleaned without failure. If a gun cannot even make it through one range session, which can easily be as much as 600 or 700 rounds sometimes, without needing to be cleaned, then that is an issue that people probably will want to know about. If you are someone that never shoots very much it won't matter; however, if you are someone that regularly shoots and trains with a firearm then it will make a difference. Granted, when we review guns, we often are putting more rounds down range than a normal person, but that is what testing is about. We are trying to find what the limits of the gun are.
Just got one of those and mine is really accurate. I like revolvers better only for the reason that I don't like maintaining magazine springs. I bring it in my truck everywhere I go.
Oh it's German, I was wonder why they spell it with a W like that when it's not Winchester. That kind of makes it even more badass
Nice video!
Great insight on this model
I think James Bond should carry this bodyguard 2.0 in his next James Bond movie
there are videos that show how simple it is to do this. i've put kits in 3 different guns. one was a sccy 380
lmao it's really not that hard to do
I read somewhere somebody said it was made from "glass filled nylon". When I first saw it, I thought, man, that's one "ugly" gun and I'd NEVER buy one. When mine came in, it did ship with 3 mags but they were 10 rounders, not 16 (musta been a libafornia model). I ordered 2 -16 rd mags from Keltec. This is my everything gun, its the only one I carry. It likes CCI and Aguila best.
Never had an issue with mine. And...the Blackhawk Omnivore non light holster fits just fine.
I am sure you have noticed by now, that there is an indicator on the bottom of the mag that will align flush when fully loaded. I got a 3D-printed speed loader that I only use like the last ten rounds, it helps. The magazine as far as a double stack is easy to load for me over others. I appreciate your opinion and good video!
