We found your channel and have admired your work. Just purchased a 6x12 Cargo Express trailer. Do you work on trailers for customers? We are in the US but would take a trip if you work on trailers for others . Thanks !
Thank you very much for the compliment. That’s awesome you have made the first step by purchasing your trailer. I haven’t branched out into doing trailers for others. You have built the PERFECT camper for two! It’s pretty much EXACTLY what I’m wanting to do except I’ll have to keep my rear doors because of my motorcycles. We want to tow and be able to arrive day our location, remove the bike, then make it our little camper home for the duration of the stay . Question, do you guys use your shower a lot? If you did the build over would you still add it? I’m thinking we have a national gym membership so we were going to hit the gym and shower . Since we only have a 6x12 I don’t want to use space that I can use for something else . Just mind juggling at the moment. Lastly, and you don’t have to answer this if it’s too personal, but how did you learn all of this. It’s amazing to watch you and others tear these things apart and run wires and have the vision to see it before it’s done.. just amazes me. I would change a headlight and the truck would catch on fire 🔥 😁😁

Thank you we are really happy with it. The shower for us was an absolute non negotiable must have. We go camping pretty far off in the bush, so there are no other options in cold weather. We use it all the time. Never regretted putting it in whatsoever. I was always the type of kid that took all my toys apart to figure out how they worked, part of my personality I guess. Best advice is to just start. CZcams has been a tremendous help as well. Keep me posted how your build is going.
North of San Luis Obispo County is the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, worth the drive and loads of camping up and down the central coast of California

April is REALLY early for Glacier / Waterton / Banff. You can get there, that is not the issue. But a lot will be closed (roads, places to visit, campgrounds). The roads are closed till late May / June because of winter closures so access to a lot of the parks is REALLY limited.
Good to know, we were not planning to cross into Canada, but we did want to see glacier national park. I’ll definitely look into it to see if it would be even worth the trip in April. Thank you!
Hi best of luck to you both. I'm in southern California. I have been to glacier national park but have not camped there. going to the sun road is a must. highlights are lake mcdonald, Many glacier and the prince of wales hotel in the town of waterton, Canada. as for california we typically still tent camp and go to leo carillo state park, paradise campground in santa barbara, morro bay state park in morro bay, and the back of pfieffer state campground in big sur, CA. only problem is hwy 1 is closed going north near san luis obispo so you would have to enter big sur , CA thru monterey, CA. it is beautiful. good luck with the truck upgrades and looking forward to future videos. My family has plans to camp in leo carillo this spring and hopefully morro bay this summer. at morro bay you want the state park and not the strand. best, Gary

GLACIER NATIONAL PARK ~~~~ Hello Zack & Suzette, I'm from Kalispell and it is good to know the RULES of GNP waaaay before your visit, especially to enjoy it as much as possible. Know the Park rules for length of vehicles and reservations at Campgrounds, as well as, Park Passes for your visit. You will want to get online the day (or minute!) the passes become available. I am selling my truck camper and am getting a 7.5x16x7 Cargo Trailer and converting it into a Toy Hauler/Camper. I'm so excited! Thank you for your book!🛻🎣
Yup, Canadian north of you, but that was a shock that Glacier changed. We usually went east to west, but the whole west to east pass etc would make things a bit more difficult. Either that, or we just retreat north. lol. Apgar is usually the goal as it's so beautiful.

Wow. Watched your older and newer cargo trailer build and lots of cool creative ideas. But im super impressed with the solid axle conversion you're doing. I assume there are kits for that but none the less its a challenging task. Kinda like to know what happened to the truck to initiate such a radical undertaking?

That’s a major overhaul of the Rangers front end, I hope a solid axle doesn’t stiffen the ride of the vehicle too much. Nice to see the Mrs in front of the camera instead of a far off shot of her, like Sasquatch, you know you got footage but is elusive in getting a good picture of her.
Actually it was already pretty stiff to handle the bigger tires, I’m actually hoping it will be a little softer, but I’ll keep you posted.
Epic travels! I hail from northern Ontario and now live in Alberta. If you’re heading into Alberta I know lots of back country camp spots if you’re interested! Oh I also rock a converted cargo!

A 7x16 and 2 years now. It’s still a work in progress but we use it as is and build as I go. Diesel heater, fold down Murphy bed and a 4cu ft bar fridge run off of 600 watts of solar.

Hello. We spent 51 days traveling from NJ to WY, UT, MT area in our cargo camper. LOVED it. If you check out our channel you will see some of our videos - we have a playlist for our roadtrip our West. We got back the end of October and I'm still going through footage. My advice, label your pics and videos right away - I'm going crazy trying to figure out like 8,000 pictures and videos. We are still uploading videos of our trip out West - so Hopefully you will find something helpful. One other bit of advice - if you are boondocking - especially if it's near a National Park - find your campsite early as they fill up quickly. Enjoy your adventures in 2024.
Awesome! Yes you got it, it’s a mess of footage when you return. We have done two trips out west, we started videos for one of our travels and gave up…….this time around our plan is to edit and post as we go. Such beautiful areas it’s easy to get carried away with photos. Thanks for your suggestion I look forward to seeing your travels.
I did some shorts on the way. But I just went crazy with taking pics - since I've never been out West. I tried to organize them every night - but it didn't happen. Look forward seeing your travels also. Safe travels!

Stoked for both of you! We did Glacier last year and it was incredible. Everything in northwestern Montana is amazing. We also spent a day at Dickey Lake near Fortine MT which was also beautiful and low key. Have fun and can't wait to see what you get into!

We were there in July. By the way, we are building out a 7x12 cargo trailer and your guide has been exceptionally helpful in planning out (and then changing as we execute) the layout and the major systems. Nobody else on CZcams is as specific and detailed as your videos and your guide. If you're reading this, and you're building out a cargo trailer, spend the $ and buy the guide. You will not regret it!

The plan is to have it completed in spring so we can do 3-4 trips in it this summer and fall. Family of 4 so maximizing the space is critical. We went with the 7 ft wide so we can sleep east/west and 7ft tall so we can bunk the beds.

The California is definitely worth seeing. It’s been a long time but I remember the coast from San Francisco northward has very beautiful. I’m completing my cargo conversion in the next few weeks hopefully and my oldest son and myself are planning taking it up to Alaska and back this June.

@@waysoutback Starting in Bakersfield California around the first of June. My trailer is a 6 x 12. Built it to transport my paramotor and also for camping and travel. Some of my inspiration came from your videos which I have enjoyed.
So glad my videos could provide inspiration. We absolutely love what the cArgo camper has allowed us to do and see. That is going to be an amazing big trip starting in California. How far into Alaska are you planning to go? Just looking up the possible routes….trip of a lifetime!
Does the $15 plans include the extended version you added later?
No it doesn’t. The guide focuses on different systems that would work for many different trailer builds. I did include the plans for the old trailer. The extended build info is in the CZcams videos where I actually did the work. Hope that helps.
...and if you run up the coast of Oregon stop in Depoe Bay, North of Newport, and watch some whales coming up the coast.

yes, they are coming back from the South after have their young. Plus, if you like clam chowder the Chowder House is right across the street to the viewing area. If you go a mile or two North, there is a great pull off with lots of room to park and view the Whales.@@waysoutback

@@waysoutback the Buckhorn Wash area near the San Rafael River is awesome and less visited by tourists. I have lived in Utah my entire life and only discovered this area just last year. I was blown away at the beauty of this place. Many places for dispersed camping as well as BLM campgrounds. Drinking water is scarce.
@keith9875 this is EXACTLY the kind of suggestions that we have been hoping for. Thank you very much. Please share whatever other suggestions u have. We will absolutely check this out. It may not be on our April trip but next Jan/feb we will be heading to Utah/arizona. We absolutely love Utah. We visited many of the tourist spots, Moab, arches, canyonlands, Zion, and bryce, but it’s really just touching the surface.
In my opinion many of the hidden gems of Utah are buried under snow 4-5 months of the year. Utah has many alpine meadows that few people ever visit except for the locals. Hiking and sightseeing are popular and there is dispersed camping available most anywhere on the national forest. Central and south central Utah contains many lakes and streams with pretty good fishing. The area west of Monticello has much to offer in the way of sightseeing. Absolutely a beautiful part of Utah.
