He saw her on American Idol or one of those singing competition shows, and she was tweeting about WWE wrestlers she loved as a kid like Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels. I remember when it happened.
She took bumps even though she freely admitted that she had never done anything athletic or sports related. That's determination. I'm glad she found her niche in the company.
I thought that sounded crazy too. But then I remembered how many legends came into the business bc someone saw them at a bar or gym and said "you got the look".
People underestimate the ropes. They hurt! When I was a kid I got to play in a ring. Bump and run ropes. And you could tell where I hit the ropes from the lines and welts. I was like I’m good pretty fast after hitting the ropes and we played tackle football in gravel.
Needless to say, Mark Henry has an eye for talent, he not only found Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, but Samantha Irvin, too😅? Well damn, WWE should pay this man a finder's fee, at this point😤

I’m glad mark got his run as the world 🌍 champion for a while they really hit it big with that character he’s was putting a hurting on everyone that stepped in the ring! I don't think people appreciate the job of a ring announcer. You cant just say things, the expressiveness of someone matters. There's a reason how she announces people has caught fire. If we look at fink and garcia as examples their expressiveness is what puts them as the greats. Perhaps fink was more able to take bumps but that's more of a business thing
