You know, this next idea on your top ten list of podcast ideas is kind of a cop out so you don't have to think of one.
The "Don't Say A" segment had more flow than most conversations on the Head Gum Podcast

small suggestion but you should have each segment be a chapter in the youtube video! also id love for you to keep a running tab of how many times you do each segment so we can track popularity over time
New segment idea: a retrospective on the episode, perhaps giving an award for who had the best moment of the episode. Maybe a trophy could be handed out to commemorate the winner - a golden trophy or microphone or something along those lines
And maybe like one if someone does a bad job, like a very turdy type of job. Maybe they can call it a turdy? IDK just riffing.

i've had the seconds themesong stuck in my head since last week, and it definitely made me anticipate the next episode, like a reminder alert but in my mind. it's funny because the song has an early 80s sitcom/commercial sensibility to it, and it seemed to work for tv in the 80s, too.

Jake started so (relatively) well with tofu, and then when he got to "bean tree" just entered some sort of maddening death spiral. It was like listening to a 4th grader just lying about something just to be talking. 😄

@@SirArthurTheGreat 9/10 means it's up there as one of the greatest films in the history of cinema. We're talking near-perfect masterpieces.
I've seen other action comedies from the '90s and haven't seen one reach those heights. Even if we consider just action films from the '90s Terminator 2 is considered a high watermark. If T2 is 9 it's unlikely True Lies is.
If I'd had similar fruits to mango before and thought they were good but not amazing, and also the general consensus was so, I can also assume the mango isn't likely to be up there with the greatest fruit ever (hypothetically speaking).
So my assumption was based on previous experience of films of that irk, and indeed personal bias. It's all subjective at the end of the day - I'm not saying it's a bad film it could well be a 7 or even 8 but I just doubt it reaches a 9. Simply my opinion, I'm glad Amir likes it :) I guess I'll have to watch it and find out now ;)

maybe a better version of the explain something like your five segment is one of you comes prepared with an interesting explanation for some process or whatever and teaches the other one

I was an IIWY Day 1, and the crazy thing is I listened pretty religiously until I burned out on several podcasts like 10 episodes before they stopped. And I still haven't gone back and finished.
But then they started Segments and I'm immediately onboard lol. I guess that means they stopped at the right time (for specifically me, their most important audience member).
