Segment idea: reverse ads. You each pick a company and absolutely rip them a new one. Or possibly just gently complain, ensuring they’d never want to take an ad out with you muahaha
Can you share the chiropractor? I really need something like that.
Good to see that jake and abish are finally giving the fans what they want: a podcast about very specific medical issues
This week's segment was just not having segments for the first half of the show. Brilliant.
Phoning it in on episode 11 is not only expected but appreciated
It’s more than appreciated; it’s devastating!
Amir had a nose issue? That explains the hum I’ve been hearing for the past 10 years!!
but seriously, I’m glad you’re okay! ❤
You know he has a deviated septum about that kind of shit!
@@davetraintrain anyway -dinner tonight- breakfast tomorrow?
If anyone else struggles with mouth breathing and needs a recommendation for an ENT doctor who specializes in balloon sinuplasty, my cousin Leron’s ex-boyfriend Parm (yeah dude, it’s 2024) fancies himself an amateur surgeon-a bone sartorialist, if you will. He gave me a new schnoz for 5K plus gas! 👃🏻
Parm's gotta be in his 110's at this point
@@xlr20iceGood point. He’s definitely at least 103 by now but I did hear a rumor that he actually killed himself…! 🥺
Also the hospital is a van, I don’t know if he mentioned that
I won't.
Segment ideas:
- Jake and Amir each pick a movie title. You find out that the movies you’ve chosen are getting 5 more sequels, and it’s your job to come up with names for those movies.
- You both take turns reading lines from J&A episodes, or completely new made up lines, and you each have to guess if you’ve used it in a video or not. (I think you’ve done something like this on IIWY.)
- Hearing Test. Play each other audio clips and try to guess what the sound is.
- Show and Tell. Bring something from home and talk about it, how you got it, why it’s meaningful to you, etc.
If you can’t appreciate Jake & Amir at their worst (low effort waxing), you don’t deserve them at their best (Ha-Eun)
love watching these two grow old together ❤️
"See the thing is" must be spending their whole marketing budget on headgum ad space.
And I still have no idea what the podcast is even about
Such a horrible name for a podcast and it’s hosted by a random musician? So strange
They have a slightly toxic segment
@@Hossyboy420 The worst thing is they imply we should know who they are.... Idk about you but I was born in 94' and have never heard of them...
Are you really a true Jake and Amir fan if you don’t appreciate the occasional wax episode? if I were you had many of them, stop complaining
“CrossFit that night was 1,000 sink touches” 😂
Only 11 episodes in and they're already dropping the new format
Same as late stage IIWY lol
@@CannataNFLyeah but this is early stage. Not a good sign 😂
@@SteveJohnson-ht6kv agreed lol
@@CannataNFLyall are being some diva roaches rn
Oh god please don't go to see a chiropractor, they can ruin your spine without you realising, because theyll reset you to a new (bad) position and itll seem like its better until the inflammation in the new spots kicks in and you need to be "readjusted" more and more often, and they slowly degrade your spine in the process. Please be careful.
Damn, it’s been a good run. RIP segments 2023-forever.
He has a deviated septum about that kind of shit
Old Man Growing Pains segment again please
What podcast is this...?
fav ep so far
Instead of leaving a negative comment, here's a segment idea. Watch other podcasts and nitpick how you could make their show better. Basically its free advice and oh no, it became If I Were You all over again. Uh oh Spaghetti Sauce
Jake’s dances always put a smile on my face 😂
Segment idea lol. If you guys tried to give each other tattos to resemble your lives as the other knows it, what do they look like?
Best episode ever? Nah, best CZcams VIDEO ever
Namasté
I think you both earned a turdie this episode! Good work!
love this
GREAT EP i love to commiserate with bodily woes. root canal gang rise up
BANGER BANGER BANGER
I could easily see people on Tiktok trying to do an awful DIY version of that balloon procedure
👇SEGMANIA GANG
Amir needs to make the ads monologues again and simply trust Jake to despair as he goes.
And we're back!
Now that Amir’s sinus is unspummed maybe you’ll have better luck with another pilot
Segment
The only reason I’m listening to this pod today is to get the square space discount code
Oooft, Jake and Ameesh
Junk and Almond are so cool, I love stealing my personality from them
Who was laughing and talking at 40:45? That was so weird lol
One of the producers in the room I have to imagine
It's their producer, Emma. You can tell because Jake said "God bless you, Emma" and she's talked on the podcast before.
Bit disappointing the belt of pain wasn’t a segment with an actual belt.
I have a deviated septum about that kinda shit
*Monthly segment idea* Jake, Jill, Amir, & Avital watching a movie they have never watched before & then discuss about it. The movie could be an amazing one or just a B-tier movie. A movie suggestion: Your Name.
It’s a rom-com, fantasy. It’s amazing & I know Jake will love every aspect of the movie!!
sounds like Jake went to an osteopathic doctor rather than a chiropractor
Please let us know the chiropractor.
What uhhh was this ep haha? Amir’s story was not bad, but then Jake talks for 30 more minutes? And they are obviously sandwiched by ads
Edit: Alright the ad copy part at the end was hilarious….
Is this shit BYONug??? Cause I DID NAY!
my god you people (commenters) are so annoying. have to assume it's the same people who complained about less advice questions on IIWY. if you're watching this video, watching J&A content in 2024, are you not just, like, in the top 10% fans of the boys that have stuck around cause you like them that much? you're watching nearly 1 hour of free content and it's pretty easy to skip ads. they are talking and joking. that's what the podcast is...please chill !!!!
Yeah I too was always baffled by the people who demanded more IIWY questions, as if hearing the same badly written questions about relationship advice over and over are the point of the pod and not just a jumping off point for funny conversations. Segments will undoubtedly be the same, where the segments themselves are not really the point at all, the convos and bits are the point.
So no segments in segments
Went way too long on the medical stories, did you guys just forget to come up with other segments?
You sound like a millennial who misses what life was like in the early 2000’s
@@jakedemedeiros9978 This ad haunts my deepest nightmares.
Bruh, your CZcams comment history straight shows you hate on every ep. 😆 goofy ass
Resting on your laurels!? No! Resting on your nostrils!
Weird episode? Hopefully just because they've been away.
yeah I've been setting aside time every week for this show because I love the vibe but this was such a strange episode. I started just skipping ahead until I hit something that *wasn't* just talking about random medical procedure/ body anecdotes and got a lot further than I expected lol
I don’t mind the stories (Amir’s barber shop review is one of my fav IIWY moments) but Jake shilling for chiropractors was pretty disappointing tbh
He said the chiropractor helped his issue but he still doesn’t condone them, were you even listening?
@@Fauxry I mean, were you? Chiropractors aren’t doctors. What they do is pseudoscience and has been proven to be ineffective, sometimes actively harmful. See a PT for actual treatments, not bandaids. Jake alludes to this at 41:25.
~33:50: “… I’m very skeptical of doctors too and I would never have trusted a chiropractor but I like literally left the office and I was laughing with relief. It felt like I never had a back issue. It was 100% better”
~35:10: “I’m going to get in trouble for even recommending chiropractors which I don’t think I do recommend chiropractors but I recommend this one”
So a glowing review and endorsement for an unnamed chiropractor; a field that specializes in snake oil. that’s shilling in my book.
I respect both of these guys and I’m grateful for the countless laughs they’ve given me. That’s why I commented. I mean no disrespect to these coy boys or to you
@@aBroadMeadow you’re reading way too much in to that lmao, relax
@@Fauxry that’s fair. that’s more than fair.
day 232 of asking you to make the song less mean
46:30 I thought the covid booster part was a bit. Some people really did get boosted? Some people still do it? wtf.....
Yes? Because it’s a virus that will exist for a long time? Similar to getting the flu shot each year
