Just bought a 2008 FZ1. LOVING IT!. Currently have 2 Harleys, love the Harleys, but this is so different and great!~
Yes agreed, I love my Triples and V-Twins, but this really puts a smile on your face when you make it scream :)
Had one of these in this same colour and now searching for another one. Best bike I have ever owned
Understated bike. Power at low end can be adjusted. But really no need. Every 12k miles big service circa £400.
Seat cowling genuine part £120. Don’t mod engine. No need. The thing is quick and stable in low and high speed cornering
Great video mate, suprised that you only got 2.57K subs!
A Woolich race tune and custom map brings the power on earlier. Great bike on a budget.
It's a huge amount of bike for the money. I think that's the best colour scheme too.

Yes!! We want to hear the motorcycles!
Please let us hear them on all of your videos!
I start them all now, and the most recent videos.... I ride them on camera too 😁
Another great review, thanks.
Thanks for the kind words :)
The carbon fiber looking plastic under the tank is stock and so it the "blanking plate"
Nice review. I know what you mean about where the fun starts. Once you get used to running about 5k rpms all the power you would ever want and them some, is just there on tap. What it's also nice is keeping the RPMs under 4500 Makes the bike real easy to putter around town on.
Yes I wasn't sure about the Blanking Plate" as most of my bikes tend to have fairings, but I should know by now lol
Great video mate! I’m tossing between an FZ1 and the Speed Triple 1050. As you’ve riden both I’m interested to see hear your thoughts on if they are comparable in performance or they are worlds apart!
Personally I would choose the Triple over the in-line Four, but I am a bit of a Triumph fan-boy. I just prefer the sound, and the fact you don't have to rev the nuts off a Triple to get going quick :)
I love budget bikes and cars!
Amazing Job!!!
Thanks :)
Has anyone had an issue with the rotor flywheel on these bikes? A quick Google renders a whole load of horror stories about them exploding and shooting magnets around the engine causing around £1000 worth of damage.
This issue was addressed and fixed on later bikes...2009 I think?
@@gunnerscustoms nope, wasn't fixed until 2015.. and it affects more than just this model
The mt10 is insane thats a good bike to have sit up and beg style which is a lot easier on yr back tooo
Loads of fun, for under £3500 for a nice One too!
Really nice looking bike. And I believe its very quick
Very easy to ride in town, but insane to ride on faster roads when you open up the throttle!
Dude please put the wheels facing same direction to give a genuine idea of what it actually looks like from the side. That's unless you've steering locked it and about to walk away.
I'm thinking to get an FZ1 as my next bike, coming off a Vitpilen 401, but I'm unsure about it, ideas/recommendation?
I think coming from a single cilynder 400cc bike, onto an in-line4 1000cc bike is a pretty big leap, but if you have the confidence, and of course the experience..... it will be a lot of fun. the nice thing about this type of bike, is it can be very docile at lower speeds, and only when you really want to have fun does all the power come on! 😁
Yeah I don’t know why but you can have an Ecu tune / flash for the R1 engine in the fz1 to create a balanced throttle response throughout the rpm’s…….or so I’m told ,idk if I’ll be doing that as it’s my daily driver which I like being able to get great mpgs …then if I want to ride like an idiot I drop a gear and I’m gone . Assume this bike is gone seeing as you have “bike ownership ADD”…over here that bike ,now , you’re lucky to find for $5k if someone selling needs $$$. ..but in that great condition and with it’s low miles would be more in the $7-$8k range…. I had to really shop my area ( New England USA)for months to find a slightly rough one for $5k that has a lot of miles (29k) …miles on an inline 4 doesn’t mean much as I’m sure you know ..as long as maintained the inline 4 is difficult to kill , and I’ve tried for many 1000’s of miles in the past lol…when young I didn’t even change oil from yr to yr and I made about every shift at redline and the ole girl would always start, even if I needed to pop start due to not able to afford beer and a battery both 😂… wish I had those old 1980’s bikes now instead of in the 80’s when I was an insane rider …but I digress .. if you can find one of these second gen fz1’s ,particularly for me an 09 or newer , for $3-$4k in that good shape with low miles like that one …let me know , it might be worth having it shipped to me and to have an actual naked fz1 not my made into a naked after it was laid down fz1 😜
Hi man, whats this black plexi (shield) under light pls? Thx
Sorry I don't know, all the mods were done by the previous owner
Great looking Yamaha colors, and if any bike should where those colors it's that one, it's like a giant two-stroke from back in the day when you hit the red line.
Really enjoyed this One, and I'm not a massive fan of high revving bikes, but this was so much fun 😁
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes the fz1 is a built true high rev range bike, it does what they intended it to do, win races at wide open throttle, it is a bike built around a race engine.
@@DANTHETUBEMAN It kinda made me change my mind on revving the balls off a bike 😂
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes just watched a video, " is it fast FZ1" , zed to 65 first gear ⚙️ 65 to 85 second gear ⚙️ 85 to 💯 third gear, ⚙️ 100 to 120 forth ⚙️, it's fast, built to rev.
@@DANTHETUBEMAN 😁😁😁
Lovely bike great colors, how easy is it to keep the wheels clean!?
A little bit harder than if they were Black lol but generally no problem ;)
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes thanks bro
Cant get my engine light off mine. New oil, filter, air filter. Cleansed oil pressure sensor. Any ideas anybody
Is there an ODB port socket under the seat? if so just use any basic scanner to erase the codes and see if it comes back, EML could be anything including after market exhaust.
Apparently theres a problem with the frame weld cracking on them !
Never heard of that?
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes Guy on youtube called grimsmotovlogs did a video on it.
I have had 4 of these cracking bike bullet proof R1 engine and very very fast. hit 7000 rpms then hold on tight as it will pull your arms off.
Apart from when the rotor magnets fall out. I've had 2 and really like them.
@@conkerman01 the rotor magnet issue has been fixed on later models
@@gunnerscustomsHow about the frame cracking problem?
@@mikehawk9156 that's a new one on me. I never had an issue or heard of it...sorry
Nice Bike. I got one aswell 😇
Great Fun 😁
such an underpriced motorbike these FZ1n
That's why a 600 is better
That is a £4k - £4.5k bike now.....
I know! Price for bikes seems to have gone crazy the last couple of Years?
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes Just paid £3600 for an 06 with 20k....it's immaculate though....
Lotsa bla de bla..
