The lack of recoil caught my eye, then I noticed how much weight you have. This year, I upgraded my 10/22 with all Kidd parts, except for the stock receiver from the stainless/synthetic gun it was as new in 2201, and the tacom chassis. It has the kidd 2 stage trigger that I set to 10 ounces and 5 ounces and williams peep sight I mounted into a scope ring base to go on the weaver rail. My brother and I machined and adapter for that and a custom front sight base for the shaver globe sight with a 0.030" ball insert. The rear of the stock and cheek riser I built and welded from aluminum tube and round stock to fit my body. The front sight is removable with an index hole in the bottom of the kidd ultra light barrel, so that it is lighter and out of the way of a scope or cmore dot. With the peep sights, I have weights that mount inside the carbon fiber handrail to keep the front down. My best groups are 0.375" at 50 yards and around 3/4" at 100 meters with a weaver grandslam 6-20 scope that was budget friendly but still got great reviews 15+ years ago, using CCI SV ammo. My primary purpose for the gun is rimfire silhouette, shooting offhand with peep sights but I also use it for steel challenge. Heavy guns are hard on my body so I built it very light knowing I could add weight as needed. Over the last few months I have been getting 2nd and 3rd place in silhouette, against bolt actions, lever actions, and even ARs with red dots. That looks like some fun shooting like that from the bench! Nice shooting!
This reminds me when good ammo was till cheap Back when i was Shooting souped up 10/22s almost everyday we do double tap small tin can challenges at 50 meters using the bench using just the Gun and a bipod. We shoot the can placed on top a perimeter cement post and attempt to hit it again as soon as possible as it flies off before it hits the ground. Fun times… very challenging but doable with practice and probably possible and easy for offhand for trick shot people. 😁
I don't know whether to say I liked it or hated it. Really admire the way you can pound those bullets in there. Hate it because I can't shoot anyway near that good. But you and Don over at RimfireSS inspire me to keep trying. Thanks for a great video. Probably the only one interested but would love to see you shoot groups with that gun starting with good ammo and working your way back to say CCI SV. I can't get my Lapua Long Range to shoot that good out of any of my guns and I am factoring in the operator . Thanks again and keep them coming.
Okay I have bought in to your preferences. . Just ordered a CZ 457 Varmint. $599. Heavy Barrel, 20.5" barrel. Scope shopping. Thanks for your guidance!
Haha that was so much fun to watch Josh!! Good to see Kidd finally released a cool chassis. I have had casting marks on my Ruger mags that have caused feed issues and just cleaned them up and also my KRG chassis sometimes does not seat right on a full mag so maybe a couple things to look for.
I love being able to see the bulled drop into the target . As far as the mag in the second round , I have one that does exactly the same thing . I’ll try a playing with the mag spring tension a little , but most likely it will end up pitched . I spent more money in ammo trying to tune mags than the cost of a new mag . Kidd customer service told me to buy two mags for every one I think I need . You’ll find that some mags will damage bullets on feeding . I know you showed it doesn’t make a lot of difference on bolt guns , but my experience with 10/22s is group size tracks with the mag I’m using . Some of my mags always suck . Others are much better . Might be a good follow up. So damaged bullets matter to a 10/22?
Dang Josh.... you never disappoint 😮 That was just fun as he$$... and the Tract spotter imagine is fantastic!!! Love being able to see the trace in flight... supper 😎 Thanks🫡
Great video Josh. My Kidd 1022 started life as a Ruger but is now entirely Kidd except for the KRG chassis. Another comment here recommended cleaning the magazine. That clearly would not hurt anything. I'm thinking maybe look at the second position the red rotor. There may be a plastic spur or anomaly on it.
Try the Tandemkross 10/22 mag tool to disassemble clean ath wax and debris out and retention the spring with the TK tool and see if that fixes the mag. Those mags get a lot of buildup inside.
That’s awesome! I’ve got about 30 10/22 mags and haven’t seen that issue before. Stop wasting time and just replace it with a new mag - it’s not worth the hassle.
I have both. They are both fantastic indeed . I love my two stage for BR, set at 5oz/5oz. I got my single stage from 24 oz to 14 oz with only the adjustment screw.
You differently see bullet flight on camera! So cool!! 👏👏👏👍

Clean and lubricate clean and lubricate your mag also add an extra twist to the spring
YT is at it again. I wondered why I don't see videos from you and then saw that I was unsubscribed, not by me. Subscribed again.
Appreciate ya
Absolutely the most informative thank you

Josh that was a great challenge. Enjoyed watching you accomplish this!

Great fun vid mate, well done, cheers Yogi ✌️🤙
Great video from that spotter. Blessings from Australia.
Most excellent !

Cool! Nicely done!
Thanks
Awesome 👍👍
Mr. FOX!
Josh, I had the same problem with my 10/22 magazine. You need to take apart and clean the wheel and check for burrs

The BR guys here clean 1022 mags alot
Nice
NICE 🎯🎯

Incredible shooting and footage, as always.
I still don't know why they make standard 10/22's, my experience is you have to replace everything in order for it to shoot.
I was thinking double taps at 200. I'm going to cheat and use an 8" gong!😅 That is some sweet shooting sir!😮❤❤❤
Haha yeah just the 180. It was pretty tough
@PursuitofAccuracy it vlows my mind, how many folks just don't understand what goes into pulling off shots like you do!
@@chrislang5659 appreciate it, it's very doable just hard to get in the rythim

I think you may be an Arty guy, indirect fires. Lobbed those Lapua rounds on time on target !! Going to call your site FFB Josh.
Lol
if that Kidd single stage trigger is anywhere near as good as the 2 stage, its got to be fantastic.
I have both. They are both fantastic indeed . I love my two stage for BR, set at 5oz/5oz. I got my single stage from 24 oz to 14 oz with only the adjustment screw.
You need to step up to triple taps
I'm not ready for that yet
