0:59 I completely agree with this. When I see all my friends that went to a university straight out of high school going to parties and chilling with their large friend groups, it makes me feel bad about myself that I'm in community college. But I also feel like, in some essence, going to community college ultimately makes the student happier. It's like you said. We're not gonna end up with so much student debt, and we're still gonna get the same prestigious education once we transfer to the university. And also for me personally, even though community college classes are much smaller, I think that's a good way to more easily connect with people, since classes are not so big and so you're more likely to build close relationships with your classmates. I ended up finding so many people with the same major as me who wanna transfer out too. I think I honestly made more friends my first semester of community college alone than my whole lifetime before college because of this nature of community college
Community college experience = underrated
Ironically enough most of my friends will actually be attending community college, but we're gonna be going to two separate campuses because i'm a little bit closer to one over the other and it'll save me money in the long run so i'll end up having to deal with the separation from my friends regardless. not too upset though cause it gives me the opportunity and reasoning to go and talk to people. I feel like if i had friends around, i would be less likely to want to branch out and meet people.
Yeah, definitely a silver lining of that situation. gl at community college!
I love your channel so much, your videos have been so helpful to my college decision!
THANK YOUUU 🙏🏽
I definitely agree that it's easy to get short-sighted and only be focused on transferring to certain schools. I always dreamed about attending a UC. None of them offer my major, so I ended up transferring to a university in NY instead & couldn't be happier.
Really good tips~
Which NY university?
I'm doing Manhattanville's radiology program
edit: Ended up committing to Long Island University's program instead due to location lol
Nice video
I’m glade community college as a vast age range cause I’m 40 years old . I have no interest in partying at all lol . As for making friends that’s irrelevant at my age don’t need any distractions . Internships I really don’t know if that’s necessary for property management or if I will have time for it .
Im going into community college into august and you just have to make sure you find the best community college for you because for me I found probably one of the best engineering transfer programs in the nation and I have full access to anything in the engineering department 24/7. Dorms are also in the same exact building as all my engineering classes. A little scared of the people that are gonna be in that department with me though... hopefully everything works out
Love the channel btw, very informative
That progrom sounds amazing. What school is that?
@@adamramirez1 Minnesota North College at the Itasca campus
These videos are so helpful! Would you be willing to make a video on how to choose a college when you transfer?
also did you dorm at berkeley or were you in commuting range?
Yeah I’ll add that to my future video list!
I got an apartment near campus since the dorms were almost double the price.
thanks!@@adamramirez1
I’m so scared of going to cc I’m a hs senior right now who had a terrible hs experience and I don’t want my college experience to be the same. Hopefully it’s a chance for me turn a new leaf
100% is a chance to change how things are going in HS. It’s a new opportunity!
Did you studied in community college with financial aid or you had to pay for your classes?
I paid for my classes
