I like the idea of testing with a radio on the bench after tuning. Great video showing process of how it is tuned. Still have one of your XLT duplexers in use since 2021.

To tune a duplexer you got to sing to it first, it will resonate in harmony with your tuning rods.

Does this require the -TG model or will the dsa-815 model do this as well?

I am interested in setting up a 50-watt gmrs repeater. The antenna will be up at approximately 100 ft at the base. How do I get 50-watts to the antenna when the duplexer sucks up watage before it gets to the antenna?

Hi, thanks for your question! To answer it, we would need more info on your situation. Where is your antenna located? Is it elevated at all or is it just a 100 foot antenna off the ground?

@BuyTwoWayRadios it's elevated. I have a higher piece of ground than most of the surrounding terrain, but I need to get it up another 100 feet to be above the tree tops.

You are always going to lose power in the duplexer.
