Congrats you got yourself a sub! Love the content and collaboration! Can't wait to see what other stuff you two do together. Eventually I would be curious to see a 7mm Weatherby vs 7 PRC with the Goliath 195 Grain EOL!
I would be interested to see if the Vangaurd could stabilize the 245 Berger EOL and if so what the speed is. Then do another speed test vs the 300 PRC!

@@edstettin6799 I don’t know about that. They are neck and neck. I would say 30-378 has an edge with factory ammo because the 300rums are loaded light at 90% max pressure. Handloads are a different story, while the 30-378 factory ammo is loaded to true spec, handloads don’t give a significant difference like the rum. With the rum you can load a 215g faster than a factory 180g. My 300rum load is a 215g at 3250fps with ease.
I own a custom Mauser 98 in 300 Wby mag using a Silen 27 inch barrel . I also own a Weatherby V 5 in 300 Wby mag that is right now at Pac Nor having a 27 inch super match SS barrel installed. Both rifles show with my chronograph 180 bullets at 3400 per second using 92 grains of IMR 7828. No way in hell I am buying one of these new Gimmick cartridges then in a year or 2 they become a long-gone idea and no brass to even reload. At 64 years old the 300 Weatherby mag will be around long after I die but these new Gimmick cartridges often last only 5 years then they fad off .
Yup, I’m using 195gr bulldozers with factory mark v accumark getting 3300fps with 84gr of 7828ssc, I can’t see myself owning another 300 mag cartridge when the old cartridge does all I need
@@eddielombera5862 that was in response to Lure Benson. Point being PRC’s are not a flash in the pan. They are selling like crazy. I can’t go into a Scheels or Cabela’s and not see five or six different brands of 300 PRC, 6.5 PRC, or 6.5 Creedmoor on the wall. And I’m sure the 7 PRC is going to be just as popular.
Round 1... 300 PRC
Round 2? Give me a chance to actually find my max load with LRT

This is pretty interesting considering the PRC isn’t really designed around achieving high velocities.

That’s a good heavy bullet! May have to go and use US869 to get some good velocity out of both.
Would of been a better race if u guys used weatherby's real 30 cal race horse. 30-378 vs 30-375 (300 prc).
👂Did I Hear Right? 👮♂️ Was the New Sheriff (300 prc) Just "Gunned Down" By the 80 Year Old (👴) 300 WBY Magnum? 😵 (RIP) What Happened??? 🤭
I’m getting 3158fps out of my 26 inch barrel 300 PRC using a 212 grain ELDX.

I think grandpa was napping for round one so the young bucks took advantage. I think in round two grandpa will wake up and leave the cane at home 🤣
🧒👦 Kids, If You Want a Magnum, Why Don't You Build a Real One??? 😜
🤔 You Know That Austin Needs His "Beauty Rest", Now That He Is On That Low Calorie Diet! 😴 I Bet He Is Dreaming Of Food Too? 🎂
It’s not the king, the 300 rum is. I can easily get 225s over 3000fps in my 300rum.
The 3O-378 is king.

Not so fast!
PeepeeRC cant even run with the 300 wm let alone the wby mag

Yeah? Like the Creedmoor? Lol.
@@edstettin6799 what about it?
