Thank you for sharing your pup with us. ❤🎉
lol your whole setting process is so funny, like your cat and doggy.
"Leave It" looks exactly like my cat!
Your going to have lots of fun with your new toy!! I enjoy incorporating laser engraving in my wood working!!
I've always wanted a laser engraver/cutter. I'm looking forward to seeing your videos on the use
Hi Tim. It took me a few minutes to remember where I had heard your voice before. It finally dawned on me that I watched your TV show. I really enjoyed that show. I also just received the xtool P2 to review on my CZcams channel. I am impressed with the quality of their products. I had considerable luck when I reviewed one of their earlier lasers. The payout was substantial and my blog readers were happy with their purchases for the most part. So far the only issue I am having is getting Lightburn to work with the autofocus. Still working to resolve that problem. The xtool creative software is not bad but it gets slow with more complex files. Lightburn is my goto software so I am hoping to get that worked out. Thanks for the video.
I have not used Lightburn. I use Photoshop and Illustrator and the xTool software seems to like those files so far. One thing I am sorting out is the size of the print area. The work area is 26 by 14 but prints I place in the left upper corner are moved down and over a couple of inches. Have you noticed this?
I’ve been enjoying watching you since your early OETA days. You’re a good man, Tim.
Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
Great video Tim. Can't wait to see what you'll do with it.
Cool toy! Looking forward to seeing what you make with it.
Wow! Thanks!!
Really nice video on what looks to be a pretty good purchase. It is one of those things I am still saving for... Thank you for sharing!
Love the SWAT shirt. Unfortunately, I will not be attending this year.
Good thing that’s free to you. Can’t see woodturner justifying the expense.
opooo xtool is awesome!!
The xTool Smoke Purifier is the only accessory I did not purchase. The consumable filters cost $160 and will need to be replaced every 6 months if the P2 is used occasionally and every month if it used frequently. It is more cost effective to purchase an external fan for even better exhaust airflow and vent the fumes to the outdoors.
I agree about the filter kit being expensive. I am hoping that they will sell the components separately soon. My experience with systems like these are that the prefilter needs replacement more often than the HEPA and charcoal filters.
Great video, I think you should add anti freeze even if it’s inside, only water can get really nasty without it.
Thanks for the tip. I can use an old turkey baster to get out a few ounces...I mean milliliters😁
When you close the lid of the machine does it lock right away or you have to start engraving for it to lock? Because mine just doesn’t lock for now
You know I haven't paid attention to it much. But mine doesn't lock I think until I hit the button on top of the machine. So I have to activate the print for it to lock.
is there a way to turn off the Inside Vent and use just the External Fan to make it Quiter. ?
Not that I know of. The laser air removal fan might not be what is making the loudest noise. What I think is louder is the cooling system for the laser. I might try taking the back off to see which is making the most noise.
@@woodturningwithtimyoder Please do, we have a glowforge now in the kitchen and use the External fan an it so sweet, but I want so much to use this laser , I just need to figure out a few hacks to bring down that jarring sound.
Want a copilot, I'm offering :)
Yeah the trash people know we have dogs .My 2 German Shepherds start barking and jumping to get out and then the Great Dane starts those guys load the truck faster than ever. Lol lol
Looks like a very nice machine. But !!!!!!! It’s to expensive ??????????????
It depends on what you consider expensive. An Epilog with a smaller working area will run you over $30,000. So far, for me, the xTool P2 is just as good and it has 2 cameras and 3D mapping for marking on curved surfaces. I'm going to show those features in my future videos.
@@woodturningwithtimyoder
Just remember you got it for free. Having to pay for it is a different story??????
@@ronnie100393 I did buy my fiber laser and it cost a lot more than the xTool P2. Let me know if you are interested in a used 30watt MOPA 6 Fiber laser. 😁
