James..my friend had originally recorded it on a small maybe 35 mm camera film.. my friend made just one copy for me and so I am converting the film to videos for You Tube.

This guitar is almost similar: The Herb has a bigger body and sometimes the same tailpiece of the first FA70 's japan production. This one is korean with a beautiful dove on the head. I like this guitar... much more than ....... the legends I own in my studio. And It is so pleasant to watch the great Howards playing on it ! Thanks again.

This type venue is not proper for jazz. Mental focus needed for the listeners as well as the players.

+SIRONEDRAGON It's a once in a lifetime thing for me because I missed the opportunity to hear him live back then because I was in New York. This film is very rare. Thanks for transferring to video. I used to read his column in the Guitar magazine. I also have some of his albums. I like watching his hands. His right hand is the way I try to pick. Seeing him in action clarifies a lot of the mystery. Man this is great. Thanks again Ken!!!

Brian was working on HR's Red guitar at the time so that is why HR is playing the Herb Ellis guitar.The very next day HR did play his Red guitar at the Ukulele Festival...
Now I got it. I did try a D'Aquisto designed Howard Robert's Hofner guitar once. It had a round hole with a floater. Man. it was off the charts for jazz.
