lol yea I already took it out, never use it wirelessly anyway, and that might be the reason it swelled up in the first place. Over the months of not using it its size returned to normal.
+Xoleum Mine actually managed to push the cover off, and even break it. Just happened five minutes ago. Now I got the battery out and can't even put the cover back on anymore... Sigh
Same thing happened to me as well , it is under the 2 year warranty thought and I am getting a full refund. It appears the battery has gotten too hot and expanded the cover.
Mouse doesn't know that. The mouse would still light up if the battery worked. If the cable isn't connected to the receiver, it just means there's no signal, not no power.
Have the same problem. My battery bars stays lit when in wired mode. Nothing shows on wireless. Can't even pair the damn mouse. Seems like I have a floating brick on my hands. And the advice down below about turning it on "off" to recharge don't work if your battery doesn't hold the charge. Do they even test these before they even ship them out because that would be the most logical thing to do?

Yeah I hear you guys on this.. battery died a while ago . I just end up keeping it wired. Other than that i'm happy as hell with the mouse.
with mine the battery still works, but it swelled up, almost pushing the cover off.
Dude... That's very bad! I would recommend getting it replaced just in case the battery leaks destroying the mouse and anything below it!

On mine the battery died twice.
Now i'm stack without battery and i don't know where to buy one!
mine was dead too, i just keep it connected to the cable and magically after 2 days it worked again.
Mine has to be always connected via the cable.
Mine also having a lot of wifi issues.

Man....you need to plug in the cable back into the charging dock. It's called the WIRELESS RECEIVER.
