    Aloha Kent,
    Awesome review! 👍
    I'm glad you had the opportunity to playtest and compare these two racquets. I want to clarify that while I represent and endorse Prince, my role is that of a Prince Dealer, not a Prince Rep.
    Keep up the great content and reviews! 🤙

      Thank you for clarifying that, Albert. I had a blast testing the rackets.

    Hello Kent.
    The Prince Phantom 100x 305 16x18 was my racket years ago because I had tennis elbow problems, the comfort is extraordinary, as is the spin and maneuverability, I definitely had to add a lot of lead and a leather grip to generate more power, despite All that weight, my kick service was one of the best I've ever had due to the thinness and aerodynamics of the beam. The feel is very good for dropshots and volleys, and my backhand slice was a delight. I might consider buying it again. Greetings

    So nice to see down to earth clips after CZcams started feeding me insane videos of wing suit freaks flying (and sometimes crashing)
    I still have my Phantom Pro 100

    Amazing how marketing and reviewers ignore the fact that the 97p is not an option . TW tells me that it is currently discontinued .

    I use the old 16x18 version of this racquet and its amazing. It has 8 mains in the throat which gives it good control.

    Thanks for this very comprehensive review. One of the better racket review videos I have seen! I am a former college player who has not played regularly in 25 years, and I have a bad shoulder and tennis elbow. This is one of the rackets I am considering. I am a one-handed backhand, baseline player and I can generate significant power on my own, but I am worried about getting a "low power" racket. If you have any good suggestions for me, let me know. I am torn between one of these, the Clash, and the Black Ace.

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před měsícem +1

      I've never heard of the Black Ace but if you're worried about arm problems, the phantom and clash are very arm-friendly. If you can generate significant power on your own, maybe the clash 98 or the phantom 97p would be worth testing. Hope this helps.

    Im about to demo this racket(the 18x20). Im primarily a doubles player but also a very aggressive serve and volley player. Anyone have suggestions for rackets to try? Im currently using the Phantom 93 but it is too challenging for me in doubles.

    Great review. I see the Pro's Pro Comet stringing machine behind you. Is it a good one for beginners?

    • @opencourt808

      Yes I like it very much. It is reasonably priced and if you already know how to string, it'll get the job done.

    LOL I cant believe both of us did Phantom reviews at almost the same time!
    I love my 🇯🇵 Phantom O3 100 and the O ports make this racket perhaps even more prone to mushiness and string sensitive, although the dwell time makes up for this to quite some extent. I also found I could drastically reduce the mushiness if i paired with the right string (YTEX Quadro Twist played amazing!).
    I knew when I saw the 2024 version and read up on what Zylon was (a polymer with high tensile strength that absorbs vibration) I knew that they would play dampened. I would like to try them out though, to see just how much more dampened they play compared to the 2020 version.

    • @sebastiandomagala9233
      @sebastiandomagala9233 Před 2 měsíci

      Quadro Twist helps with mushyness?
      Seriously?
      In my racquets the Quadro Twist is string and dampener all at once.
      I truely couldn't say if I had a dampener installed except for my racquet's weight.
      That's why I dumped it for a Zero/Sync blend.

      Yeah I saw your review of the Phantom right after I posted mine haha. Personally, I've never been a fan of Prince's O port rackets. They are a royal pain in the butt to string and they feel really mushy. But the O ports make the racket very aerodynamic and provides insane spin. I'm glad you like it.

    • @11sweetspot11
      @11sweetspot11 Před 2 měsíci

      @@opencourt808 Ya, the O ports are a matter of taste. I had a feeling you wouldn't be a fan. I think my squash background is the reason I gel with it, otherwise I think I'd be in the same camp as you.
      And yes, pain in the butt to string for sure!

    Now all we need is a mid sized Phantom with a 16x19 pattern.

    How is the power level compared to a prestige pro ? Looking to keep feel a priority with a slight boost in pop

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před měsícem +1

      I think the Phantom has slightly more power than the prestige because it flexes more. But it isn't a huge difference.

    New subscriber. As a 4.5 player, for a crisper feedback would a Blade 100 or a 98 be a good fit?

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před 16 hodinami +1

      Thank you for subscribing!
      Typically the thicker beam will play a bit stiffer and have a crisper response. A thinner beam will be a little more flexible. With the Blades, I believe the 100 is slightly thicker so maybe that will play a bit more crisp. You can also try a crisp string like Tour Bite.

    This is a great racquet for coaching, for fun non-competitive doubles because of it's fast swinging, it's also a great racquet for practicing serve technique. I can hit 200 serves and not feel a thing, it's that plush. For competitive play, the 16x18 is too unpredictable and unstable. Slicing is not great and it's hard to play offensive tennis with it. It's a fun racquet to have to , well, have fun with, but skip it for tournament play

  • @RomanPaniavkin

    Hi, i need advice!I want to buy phantom but someone said that the phantom series can't be included in the pro rackets category! It's the rackets for amateurs and you can't go with it in the tournaments. This someone plays at the level of 5 NTRP. I played phantom 100x 2020 and I loved it so I wanted to buy phantom 2024 but now I doubt it. My level is around 3-3.5 NTRP for now and I want to compete on the tournaments want to progress and advance. Maybe he's right and would be better to buy blade v9? I'm an all court player and need universal soldier in my arm😁and as far as I understand bladev9 is the one so is phantom cause their specs almost identical 😁Help me please 😁

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před měsícem

      I don't understand what they mean by you can't go into a tournament with the Phantom. Is that racket banned? If not, you should just go with what you feel is the most comfortable. If you like the Phantom, there is no reason why you can't play with it. The Blade v9 is nice but a little more head heavy and powerful. It just depends on what you like. I recommend demoing some rackets around a similar spec range to what you already use and see which you like best.

    • @RomanPaniavkin
      @RomanPaniavkin Před měsícem

      @@opencourt808 He had only 2 arguments:
      1. That there are no pro's and junior's who plays this racket.
      2. That 16x18 with 100 head size is for the better spin and power that amateurs need, RA below 60 that's very soft and plush for the amateurs or players with injuries and finally very slim beam 18mm width in the fork and this tells that phantom won't have enough precision and control for the powerful game of pro's. That phantom made for the comfort fun and joyful game and not for the competition. I saw several similar comments
