    Been on the Boom Pro since it launched. Tried the Speed Pro but found it to be too slow and the Gravity lacked power. Will be sticking with the Boom Pro

    I own 2 of the previous version. I love it and agree it’s great overall, but my serve thrives with this stick. I alternate between this, gravity pro and blade 98 and notice the added punch I get . All are great sticks and are my favorite depending on how I feel on a given day.

    Been waiting for this review. Good job. Would be interesting to know the actual swingweight of this one. Mine and others seem to only have an actual swing weight of 314 instead of the 324 shown by Tenniswarehouse.

    I've used the Boom Pro Auxetic 1 for almost two years and agree with your review (spot on). My racquet frame recently cracked while serving and slipped, so I'm looking to upgrade. I'm an aggressive baseliner with heavy spin and a one-handed backhand. I was considering the Yonex Percept 97, but it seems to lack power. Can you recommend some racquets that suit my style without compromising power? Pure Aero 98 am considering too but not sure.
    Thanks!

      The Pure Aero 98, Wilson Pro Staff 97, Wilson Blade 98, and Head extreme tour might be worth demo-ing.

    I'd like a review of Gravity Pro 2024 please Kent. Very happy with 2023 but Auxetic 2.0 leaves me wondering if that's all that's changed. You didn't find more feel from 2024 Boom Pro that I heard you mention. I'm also eager to test Speed Pro 2024 and Yonex Percept 97D. Well now it looks like a Boom Pro 98 is in order too! 👋

      The Gravity line has not received a Auxetic 2.0 update yet. I don't believe it will change much even if there was one. I didn't feel any noticeable difference between the first and second gens of the Boom Pro. Here is a link to my Auxetic Gravity Pro review. Thank you

    Would you recommend this over v9 blade and prestige pro?

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před měsícem

      It really depends on what you are looking for from a racket. The Boom provides more power and pop than the Blade and Prestige.

      @alastairtheduke Před měsícem

      As a v7 blade player, I felt the original boom pro felt too clunky and stiff for me. It has more of that 'head solid' feel vs the plush feel of the blade, but i haven't hit with the v9

    If its anything like the old Boom Pro its got a seriously high launch angle which could be tough to get used to

    • @josaya247
      @josaya247 Před měsícem

      What are you comparing to? This is has half the launch angle of the Speed MP 2.0 for me lol

      @TheJstaples Před měsícem

      @@josaya247 oh really? Wow, I never tried the speed mp. I was coming from a 2017 yonex ezone 98.

    The head shape, response from the string bed is so strange.

    Would this be a good racquet for a one handed backhand?

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před měsícem +1

      I think so since it has a very wide sweet spot in the upper hoop

    Does older boom have more pop?

  • @leebr2010

    So basically this 2024 version is almost exactly the same as the previous one which was on sale for $79 just a few months ago. Now I'm kicking myself for not picking one up.

      Except muted feel, 2024 is much better, more stable and predictable. A bit more powerful.
