  • This is a video of the Pittsburgh Logs #2 Freight Line. This line is used to transport logs from a lumber camp high in the mountains down to the Pittsburgh South Freight Station. You are riding in a 4-8-8-4 Big Boy Steam Locomotive. The video starts right after you have picked up a load of logs in the small marshaling yard near the lumber camp. After passing through the yard you will find several scenic view areas as you wind your way down the mountain. You also pass through a small industrial town at the half way point. On reaching the Pittsburgh area you pass through the Pittsburgh South Freight Yards before entering South Station to unload your freight. Your train then returns up the mountain to the lumber camp.

    Great work! Especially the interchange with tunnel.

      @@General_Tso I just realised that it's TF, not TF2)

      @@nikolaigarfield2866 I'm pretty sure that mod is also available for TF2. Unfortunately I don't remember where I saw it. But it might have been on TransportFever.net.

    My favourite thing about Transport Fever is that it's like playing with an unlimited train set! :D

      Thanks. Yea I'm starting to get into using more switches. Maybe I go a little overboard at times. ;)

    Awesome again! Do you ever live stream as you're creating a map and doing your high detailing?

    Wow! A most impressive train ride. Do you hand-place everything, city buildings included?

    • @General_Tso
      @General_Tso  Před 6 lety +1

      Thank you. I placed some of the city buildings maybe 25% or so. The town halfway down the mountain was made 100% from scratch though. I placed pretty much everything else. Including some of the mountains.

    How do you build a rail junction like the one seen at 5:50? Is a special mod needed or can it be done in game?

    • @General_Tso

      As far as I can remember I didn't use any mods to create that layout. If you are talking about the double slip switch. That can be done by clicking on an existing track crossing and setting the double slip switch to on. I'm not sure but I think the track crossing has to be within a limited angle range before you are allowed to change it. If the crossing is OK it will highlight when you move the mouse pointer over it.
      I didn't use it in this video because I wasn't aware of it at the time. But here's a great mod that simplifies making freight yard type switching layouts.
