Just stumbled upon your channel, loving it so far! Honestly I don’t mind the no FOs, I’m a chaotic knitter too so I’m always blown away by how fast ppl can finish their projects. Like what? You don’t just leave your wips hanging out in a bag for weeks/months on end, letting them taunt you from afar? ANYWAY point being, super relatable. Keep it up 💪, I’m excited for your next vid!

Wow! Thank you!! That’s so nice of you to say! I’m exactly the same! It’s so hard to be a monogamous knitter when there are so many patterns to try and fun yarn to play with! I get so distracted 😅😅

Loving the pops of colour! I swear Melburnians are allergic to wearing anything but black in winter 😂

Honestly though! All I see is a sea of black Kathmandu puffer jackets haha

Great to see a new episode, thankyou for taking the time. I love all the pinks, you have so many different shades and textures going on to inspire us. Also love how the vest is coming along, that broken rib pattern is making me want to try that with some stash which is begging me to find the perfect pattern!

Thank you so much! 💕 I’m loving the broken rib pattern! So much more interesting than the classic stockinette! Can’t wait to see it if you do try it! I always love seeing what colours people choose!

Great to see a local-ish knitter! I am a huge fan of 9 inch circulars and really don't enjoy magic loop either. When I first started knitting socks I bought pairs of 9 inch circulars for the same reason! Now I have a set of interchangeable chiagoo small circumference needles that I absolutely love. Well worth it not to get second sock syndrome.

Totally agree! 9 inch circulars are where it’s at! I’m so tempted to get a set of the short circumference needles!

I'm watching your videos for the first time and its so nice to see fellow Aussies. With gauge, I almost never get them either, but I'm a tight knitter. For me, I'm like, it's a way to see how the fabric/stitches will look, and it's information for me to see how a pattern will look with my yarn combo and gauge. I actually now knit with two different needles in the same swatch now, so I'll have one on a larger needle, and then the pattern reccommended size to see which I like more :)
Edit: It might be worth looking at Bendigo Woollen Mills, they do a free shade card, but they're yarns are in 200g balls and about $19. So for me, I can make a jumper from that and not spend over $200 on hand dyed yarn. I completely get the accesibility on hand dyed quantities too.

I’m definitely in that gauge for the fabric mindset now! And thanks for the great tips! I’m hoping to visit them when I go to the wool show!
