Another great episode Ash. A great tip to get your tension even on your socks cast on is to cast on tightly over both needles held together - I use that trick in both my sock patterns and it works great! 😀 Thanks for the mention on the Canberra Socks - your version is so gorgeous in that blue yarn!! Amazing

It is so sad that the brick-and-mortar store of Loom and Spindle has closed, but glad Andrea is still online, I was never able to make Saturdays to catch up. Maybe we need to find a cafe or somewhere to meet up with our knitting. So glad that they prompted you to do this podcast as I love listening to you. I managed to grab some Uma mohair, and other yarn before she closed.
It’s really sad but I know that it’s for the best! I’m sorry you never got the chance to sit and spend a Saturday there. It was really something special! I’m so glad you love the podcast! Hopefully, there can be a catch up soon!

This was a great podcast! You’re so cute for saying the Lumme is Sarah approved 😂it is- I loveee both the colors and the pattern. I don’t think you’re being overconfident about your color work. Your tensioning is great and it will only get better with blocking! The finished stick season also looks amazing and I gasped when I saw your turtle dove shawl- I love the colors and the cables look so crisp. It’s so fun to see all your different WIPs as always!

Thank you so much for going over your experience with the Stick Season sweater. I've been considering making it, but the arm/yolk construction gave me pause as a plus-sized girly who weight lifts. Your in-depth analysis has really helped me make my mind up; I think based on your experience I'll go a size up, as like you, I like a more cosy/oversized fit. Super helpful, thanks!
I’m so glad I could offer my help! I’m always worried about drop shoulders being too tight around my arms but I’m glad this worked out! I’m planning to make a stick-less version and go up a size too!

I have to say it, (I’m an American living in Germany so I get the struggle) but the lang yarn is pronounced “ya-voll” and the colorway is pronounced “flee-der” ;)
Sorry for the unsolicited German lesson, but I’ve seen so many vodcasters using this yarn and pronouncing it wrong, I just have to give it Justice 😂🥂
