  • In this video i show how to use tthe innternal sequencer as motion recorder for system exclusive edits. In this case Volume of OP3 and OP4.
This also works for MIDI CC. CC and Sysex have to be switched on as receive events in the pattern setup menu.
And of course you can do much longer and complex things too. Just don’t overload the midi buffer 😄

Even the sequencer!? Incredible. The SY77 really is nearly limitless with its modulation options.
    Love this machine.

Sometimes I think they intended their sysex implementation to be used to a massive extent

@@thehimer3903 Yamaha certainly designed it with more programmability and control than meets the eye. A sheer labyrinth of potential!
Makes me think there must have been some SY series-compatible midi controller on the drawing board that never made it to final release...
It would be fun to do some digging and find out!

Thank you. I recently bought the TG77 because it is a very underrated synth, and one day, people will understand how valuable it is...

Wow! It's amazing that after more than 30 years there are new techniques to do amazing sounds with this beast. Thank you, The Himer.

Someone who uses system exclusive messages as a remote control deserves a loyal admiration.

it would be curious to try to record Sys ex on multiple channels at the same time in multi mode and see if the machine holds up

Well i bet it cant handle very much data. but it might be fun to try

It's a pity the sequencer is not loopable.

Well in case of patterns you can loop them.
