I did this last February (2020). There was snow showers going to hit Salt Lake area the day before I was leaving. I went to the FBO and had them put the plane in the heated hangar overnight. 25 degrees the next day. Did the preflight in the hangar loaded my passenger in the back and had the plane towed out of the hangar. Fueled the plane, sumped the tanks, payed the bill and the oil temp had fallen from 50 degrees down to 45 in that little time. Best $120 I ever spent.

I heard about a new one after I made this video ... hot water in a bag (like a ziplock) used as a wipe in one hand, with a towel in another. I haven't tried it but I thought I'd mention it here.
