Sony CMT-NE3 Micro HIFI Does not Read CD

Sony CMT-NE3 Micro HIFI CD and tape component system (mini HiFi). It has several problems. CD drive does not read the CDs and Tap player struggling in FF and rewinding and also sometimes tape cannot eject and go to standby mode. All is easy fix and in this video I tried to show how to fix it.

How did you fix the standby and eject mode when you put a tape in? Mine is doing that when putting a tape, it gets locked on standby then displays eject and shut down messages. Thanks!

Just need new capstan flat belt. Eject stuck because the tape mechanism did not finish its rewind or ff or play function because of worn belt.

Thanks! Also, any idea where to find the 19-pin ribbon cable connecting the front full logic panel with the main board? I ripped the ends apart trying to disassemble it.

Thanks for watching. I put the comments starts 15:50 about fixing the problem. There is an variable resistor for laser eye that need to be decreased a little bit at the time and try it if it help.

Hi I have this stereo for my daughter's bday .the cassette rubber band broke the smaller one . I bought a multipack . Long story shirt it plays real fast like Alvin n the chipmunks lol please help and thankyou

If the belts you installed close to original , then problem is some where else. If belt is larger will slip and will not function , if belt is too small because of tension will slowdown the play not faster. Look around the motor wires for short or disconnection.

got one of these on ebay, perfect littlw system. Only thing is it'll rewind the tapes for a few seconds and stop? FF and playback work perfectly though, any reason why rewind won't work properly?

As I remember these machines uses belts for all functions, check that and if it is ok check the pully clutch
