In this video I showed how to make your own speed calibration tape for audio cassette player/ recorders for very cheap. You only need an good working tape deck and an empty tape and an app for your phones that I explained in the video.

Your pinch roller is shot, better find a new one. If you look properly, it has cracks all around and the surface area is shiny. Nice video.

I've always liked Insignia products. They're usually damn decent for the price tag and you get a lot of bang for your buck. This looks to be no exception. I have one on the way to me, looks like a huge upgrade when compared to the UDreamer one I got off Amazon. 😊
I have found listings on ebay that say they are a kit of 5 or so pieces for toshiba V31V35 ect, would this be a suitable set of replacement belts? They appear similar to the belts i see in my V-M30. If not, where would you suggest i look? I also have a sanyo 6400 that i need to source belts for

got one of these on ebay, perfect littlw system. Only thing is it'll rewind the tapes for a few seconds and stop? FF and playback work perfectly though, any reason why rewind won't work properly?
As I remember these machines uses belts for all functions, check that and if it is ok check the pully clutch
I noticed that there appears to be only one claw responsible for advancing the film in my Canon S-2. I am curious if this is a standard feature for this model or if it's possible that one of the claws may have been damaged or chipped?
I have one of these we bought in the early 1970's. I turned it on just now to look at some of our old movies. It still has a light that works and a motor that comes on but it is not turning the film. Does anybody know what I might do to repair it?
It might be that the belts are broken, so the motor is running on its own without moving the mechanism.
yes , probably belt is broken. But, If the belt still intact and not cracked but due to the age does not grabbing the pully try to clean it with acetone or paint thinner, some times it restore it a little bit.

I used Elmer Glue all purpose. Do not use any super glue or petroleum base glues that can damage the lens that I think made from plastic not glass.

Hello, i have recently obtained one. Is it still supposed to spin with only one wheel on? Mine is not. That's why I'm curious as i dont currently possess film
When turn on the projector in play mode without film, The take up reel ( the rear one) must spin when it is in play mode (motor or lamp), in rewind mode with rewind lever pulled to the right, the supply reel should spin counter clockwise and also the take up reel should turn slightly clockwise to maintain a little slag on the film.

I didn't know that. The unique thing about this projector is you can any time fast forward or rewind the film with fast speed like VCRs or reel to reel recorders. I did not see this function or similar on other 8mm projectors that I owned, you need to wait until film go to end or play in reveres. The design is uncommon, more like a reel to reel audio recorder machine.
Look at the writing on the lens, ther it is written.
My dad was a DJ and he recorded his mixes at Yuppies sport café Cancún on this Sony hifi's cassettes. Back in 1997

This is not a bad idea to do it without removing the upper drum, but your chance is high to destroy the heads.😂
Yes, the proper way is to remove the upper head. I know we can do it on Sony's Betamax but I was not sure on Toshiba Beta machines if removing upper drum need to alignment.

Can you tell me please how do you've known that you did not buy a fake before the shipping?
This is bought from Amazon, official retail seller, so you can buy with confident. From any other unknown places , there is no way until you get the item and check it. Even visually it is hard to know because they so well built but there are some differences if you look at them side by side with original one or there is Apps that can scan for you and get the specifications.

@@homeelectronics5055 Really? Every time I tried to use super glue with those nylon gears it never works lol, specially when it's nylon to metal. I may have to try again then, I have a VCR that has a worm gear that has a small crack and can't hold onto a motor shaft.
@@GoldSrc_ Super glue should work, try another brand. JB Weld will definitely work but in this case work area is very small may be you can try by very small amount. But if you want to use either one, first need to clean area well free of any oil and grease, that is important.

Warner discs tend to be rotted even if not visually. It’s a whole issue with every disc from that company and the pressing facility. Heard some small batches of universal discs went bad too but not nearly as much info.
We've had one of these for a while. Stopped using it (and our other Betamovies) when all our NP-11 batteries died. Careful with that handle. It's made of EverShatter™ plastic...
