I'm a Gouache artist and I've always wanted to try the mop brushes. I use Princeton and Windsor & Newton mostly. Princeton is my favorite but I must say that the balance in the way these mop brushes distribute the water and pigment is lovely. I think I'll definitely buy them. Stunningly beautiful work, Kelsey! ♥️
I started using the Black Velvet series from Silver Brush, and they are really durable and point well while holding lots of water. I use real sable for oil detail, but the BV are great for water media.
I liked the video. Beautiful art. Kitty at the end was a nice bonus. :)
This is so beautiful thank you for sharing your process
Gorgeous!! Thanks so much for sharing the process :)

Hi. Amazing art work. Exsellent.👍
these speed paintings are so helpful!! i also love seeing you use other methods to do art than only doing oil paintings (which would be fine too). your art is just beautiful! it has really helped me figure out how to pursue my semi-realistic style and try something new!
This is incredibly inspiring, would love to see any watercolour or gouache videos you are able to bless our eyes with! 😻❤️

Oh thank you for that ending shot with your cat. That was so sweet!
I cant say officially that Im an amazing watercolor/gouache artist with a lot to say but those brushes did a really good job with holding the water and paint. Your art is beautiful by the way
I really liked the way you used the gouache like watercolor.....thin layers!!! I might try using it like you did!!!
So beautiful! I missed your CZcams video ☺️
Wow this is so beautiful ❤️
What ever you make, i love it 💕💕💕💕💕
Plus, your cat is ssoooooo cuteee 😻😻😻😻
I mostly use watercolours and the results on this piece is amazing! Gotta try it out! :3
although the paper brand was obviously not the best,, your painting is the most beautiful, and it made me wanna go back to traditional painting.. I haven't done that in months. thank you.
wow i LOVE ur art style :3
So lovely, such beautiful dark eyes and skin tone. Portraits of girls I like to draw then paint is what i longingly aspire to 😊. So far, I’ve not ventured into painting my drawings but I’m dying to learn how in gouache.
First, I love this portrait, beautifully defined, yet soft. I think the brushes worked quite well despite them being smushed a little due to packaging. Great video overall! 😊
Woow 😍
Your drawing is sooooo beautiful💞😭👏
Kitty 🥺💓 and very beautiful work🌸 magical eyes and beautiful lips ✨
I came here from your Instagram! Your pieces are just so beautiful! 👏💖
Wow ❤💕💕❤💕❤💕❤ beautiful
Why the fuck that this channel is so underrated 😤 its so nice 😭
Wow! You got my attention on this drawing. I like your style. ☺️💕👍🏻
Hello 👋🏻 I’m your newest follower.☺️👍🏻
God bless and please keep safe always.🙏🏻
Stunning !!! My camera isn't as good as yours
I am obsessed with you works omg🥰 btw I wanted to ask you, aren’t gouche supposed to ve very dense and bright? The technique you used here seems more like watercolor
Looks like Kehlani.❤️
Amazing 🌼👄🌼💖
Really nice painting. I came here your new friend
hoooh you use gouache like watercolour, what drives you to use it instead of watercolour? it'd make a good video idea, maybe talk about it over a speedpait heh heh, also oil paintings cool! itd be awesome to see one :D
Probably because when it dries down it dries down matte and that allows for better layering to get an opaque look like she gets when she with oils. A lot of painters with gouache ive noticed tend to use a 2d flat painting style with not a lot of transition shades color wise.. here she is layering colors softly but the nature of gouache allows more color layering bevquse you csn paint light over dark and vice versa which allows for great rendering
Hello! First I have to say I am stunned with your work! I am an amateur artist and I would really like to practice using your design as a reference. However, I don't have gouache, I have, though, watercolors (a palette from Winsor and Newton). Do you think I will be able to make it using this medium?
really beautiful painting Kelsey! one question you used the gouache like water color why not just use water color?
I'm wondering the same thing too 🤔
The voice so cute 🤣
So beautiful! By any chance have you heard the Chinese model Ming Xi?
Yes! This was inspired by her : )
You did a great job with this painting! Before you started the painting, did you draw the picture first by free hand or did you trace it? Thank you in advance.
I transferred it from a smaller sketch that was done freehanded : )
@@kelseyjbeckett Thank you for the quick reply! You are very talented! How did you transfer it from a smaller sketch? Did you use a special software. Thanks, again!
E C I blew it up to the appropriate size on photoshop, printed it, and used a light box to trace it here : )
@@kelseyjbeckett Thank you!
it is so pretty. I'm just wondering why you used gouache instead of watercolor. You diluted the paint to an extent when it no longer held the specifics of gouache but became rather like watercolor.
I think layering the colours is easier than using watercolor without mudding them
Please do more YT videos!
If you were able to get the brushes back to a point, they're excellent. Inferior watercolor brushes cannot be put back into a point once they've been damaged
Thank you for sharing your talent but my neck and my eyes get tired because of fallowing you’re angle. I wish your next video is looks at to as.
Really good art but it was very uncomfortable to watch because it was horizontal 😟
Michelle Walls okay! Good to know, I will try to fix that In future videos :) sorry for the discomfort.
Why do oil paintings take longer?
Oil paint as a medium takes a very long time to dry/oxidize. Because of this, I have to wait days sometimes for certain parts of the painting to be dry before I can move on to the next part! Water based paints dry in as long as it takes for water to evaporate : )
Kelsey Beckett ah thanks!
Beautiful draw, bad position camera....
