I just watched two of your gouache videos, and they have been so helpful. I've been trying to paint with gouache many times over several years, and I always gave up in frustration.

I have seen a lot of gouache paintings on youtube and this is by far the best blending I've ever seen. This needs to be a class on gouache.

You blend do beautifully with gouache! I have the most trouble blending gouache because of how easily it reactivates and when I add just a bit of water it can look patchy. Is it really just the paper that helps you blend gouache? Do you have any more advice on blending gouache? It would be really helpful if you answered, thank you :)

I do love how relaxing it is to listen to you and to watch you paint. I do have Gouache at home for a while, a student set from MIYA and the professional Gouache from Winsor and Newton, but I am still struggling to approach it in a satisfying way for myself. It is breathtaking to see your progress and the soft transition and blending you achieved! I hope to learn more from you, keep making those videos.

i loved listening to your little ted talk about the paints, lol! also the painting ending up being really opaque and beautiful, which i wasn't sure it would because of your style and how it was at first. thank god for gouache's versatility

Your technique is so helpful for me to watch as an oil/acrylic painter going into gouache. A lot of artists on youtube go into the medium from watercolor, and their technique reflects that. Thank you so much for sharing your skill! ❤

Offff🔫🔪💣 When you said tempura and poster paint and gaouche were basically same thing my mind blanked out as I remembered throwing away poster paint away because I thought it went bad (they dried out) when I only used them for one art project that was mixed media...😶😵😮😳😱 Most of the containers were full or unsused!!!! Urghhhh my artistic naive heart💔 (and my wallet😭😭😭). I may never recover...😰😩😑

Love this little study! Such a lovely relaxing and satisfying video. I’ve been loving playing with gouache recently, such a versatile paint.
