I'm so envious. My wife and I have been working on our bus/becoming self employed for the last 3 years. We're so close but still feel so far. I've spent 20 years planning and designing my dream home. Every detail has been researched, sourced, and priced. Every inch is plotted in a 3D FreeCAD model, which can be exported to AutoCAD for structural analysis by a certified structural engineer. I'm already living on the land, but stuck waiting for funding for a non-conventional home.
Meanwhile, I'm developing the wireless environmental control system for an aquaponics greenhouse, using inexpensive microcontrollers and Raspberry Pi. One way or another, just keep on trucking, one step at a time, towards realizing your dreams. The joy is in the journey and arriving at the mountaintop. Once that's been achieved, it's all downhill from there. So, we only search for more.

Lola was just adorable trying to climb the ladder. I've never seen a more loving dog. Rodrigo is such a sweet guy and I'm so glad we'll be seeing more of him in your videos. The scissors were genius and showed that if you use your head, you can always rig up something that will work. You two guys are so hardworking and will succeed because of that work ethic.

It is very interesting going back and seeing this after so much has been done on the property. I looked and said to myself "where's the workshop/loft home?" I just had to laugh.
So this is Rodrigo's first day on the build. You guys really lucked out getting him for the farm. I have been following him on his channel and loving it. His first trip to another country was wonderful and now ge is a seasoned traveler. Lol

This was one of the absolute FUNNEST things to watch. Those scissors! And the pup climbing the ladder. Rodrigo seems fearless! I love the vibe you all exude!
Just a couple friendly suggestions from someone who's built several diy greenhouses... hardware store plastic sheeting will deteriorate within a year, so if possible it's best to use the more expensive greenhouse film for the plastic cover, it will last for 4-6 years if not longer. Second suggestion, use screws to the attach the 1"x2" trim boards not nails... some day will you need to change the plastic covering and screws are much easier to remove and reinstall then nails.

I too had a dog who would climb a ladder, and he was a bulldog. Problem is he'd make it all the way to the roof, but then we'd have to risk our lives because he was heavy and he never know how to climb down! lol

When we lived in Panama during the rainy season it would rain at almost the same time every day. Good work on your project.
**I’d like to make a system on the dome that collects/uses rain water!** Like a valve when turned one way, either collects the rain water for use elsewhere and/or drains the rain water away from the dome. Turned another way, it flows into a watering/irrigation system in the dome that can drips/sprays from above, or flows into a tube/pipe in a grid under the soil, or something basic with tubing laid on the soil so that water just leaks out onto the base of the plant/crop. Regardless, using that rain water would be an awesome benefit and opportunity!

Tropical weather, especially during the rainy season, things never seem to dry out. For long-term structures, you will begin to understand why people will tend toward cement. If want your porch to last longer, you might want to put a roof over it, guys. The geodesic dome looks awesome ... yes, best design for the kind of wind you get there :)
