I bought a Navi and it's just been a blast. It's the epitome of 'perception of speed, without real speed'. It's small, agile to the point of being silly, punchy from 0-30, and you get to wring it out all day long. It 'feels' so much faster than it is. What's crazy is how many compliments and questions I get. I live in a county full of compensators. Absurdly loud cruisers, and over tuned sport bikes are all you see on the road here. Minibikes are just not a thing around these parts. So much in fact that, while this place in the video couldn't keep Navi's in, our local Honda dealership still has 2023's.....and 2025s are about to come out. I'm the only local person in well over a year that's bought one (possibly longer, they couldn't remember). Mine is literally the only one I've ever seen rolling down any road in town. And so my Navi is met with curiosity. And after a few minutes of talking with me about it, everyone I talk to wants one, LOL!
would this thing manage multiple short trips for a weekly commute (twice a day M-F)? My commute is roughly 5 minutes or 2 miles. A bicycles makes more sense but something like this is what I really want, just concerned constant short trips are bad for the battery and/or mechanical components.
Great question, and yes this machine would be perfect for a short commute, provided you: 1. keep the battery charged via battery tender and 2. make sure you let the motor heat up before you take off on it (let it run 60 seconds in summer and maybe 120 seconds in winter)
Per The owners manual: During the first 300 miles (500 km) of running, follow these guidelines to ensure your vehicle's future reliability and performance. ● Avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration. ● Avoid hard braking. ● Ride conservatively Nothing mentioned about top speed?
@@TEAMPOWERSPORTS Riding top speed is not riding conservatively. You should know that. When you are riding at top speed you are pushing the bike as hard as it will go. This is not rocket science.
@@travishall67 We're also talking about a short burst on level ground, and a ride of only 3 miles not a race bike at 180mph at 16000rpm. What I know is most bikes are supposed to be ridden at all rpm ranges during break in, so that the entirety of the motor is broken in. Furthermore, this is a CVT transmission, so the engine RPMs are always close to maximum, as it is the variator/springs/rollers that increase the speed.
@@TEAMPOWERSPORTS It's your story. Tell it any way you'd like. Everyone knows it's a bad idea to run a bike at top speed before it's even close to being broken in.
@@travishall67 I'm going top speed on mine within the first week it's only frigging 50 or so on the Navi 😆! Breaking in is 500 miles if memory serves you expect no new Navi riders to take it to 50 in 500 miles...I've seen at least 30 videos of first rides on Navis taking it as fast as it will go. She didn't break the damn bike...🙄
I know for a fact, that we were all eyeing that blue ramp in the parking lot...
Every day I look at that ramp and wonder if I could...

Sweet! I'm looking forward to demo riding the Zero tomorrow at your store.
Thanks. Riding a scooter now and think this is a comfortable step up. Keep in mind that I’m an old lady who doesn’t want a motorcycle.
57 and getting a Navi next week, I love that its automatic, shifting is my kryptonite.
Good on ya! I’ve been riding for over 30 years on every kind of bike and still want one of these as a commuter and grocery getter .

So it's ok to wind it out to top speed before it's even broken in before selling to a customer. Good to know. 🤔
