  • How powerful is the RCF 705 AS-II subwoofer? Is it really a 1400W active sub? I can assure you this is a POWERFUL and RELIABLE sub I would 100% recommend anyone to buy it.
    This is a detailed review showing all around the subwoofer, the rear connections, padded cover, FULL SOUND TEST of the subwoofer alone and a full sound check of the sub with my EV ELX 112P speaker.
    Finally, this is my honest review of the RCF 705 AS-II Subwoofer Review with Padded Cover (1400W ACTIVE SUB).
    Feel free to ask any questions about this subwoofer in the comments section.

    Great review! I currently use the 708-as MK2 from RCF and pair them with either HD32A or Art 735a. I've always heard and read good reviews about the 705 and yours is no exceptions. Will definetly be getting a pair of 705s for smaller events and when space is an issue.

    Great review -- I've been all over the board looking at an old school Yorkville Elite 800 (but 130lbs!!), a JBL PRX 818 XLF, and this -- I know all apples to oranges, but it seems this sub would reach a 150-person venue no problem -- would probably couple it with my QSC K12s.

    sir. i have a question. once you press the crossover button on the rear of subwoofer. does it change the low frequency sounds of the subs? they said it has a 40 to 120 hz frequency response. and a crossover frequency cut of 80 to 110 hz going to top full range active speaker? thank you.

    • @DjBlinkBlink
      @DjBlinkBlink  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello mate,
      Once you press the crossover button, the low frequencies for the SUB will be isolated below 110hz and you will get more BASS or PUNCH!!

    • @DjBlinkBlink
      @DjBlinkBlink  Před 2 lety +2

      110Hz works better for me.
      Remember, if you want the sub to be a smooth extension of the mains, you can try 80Hz first. If you want the subs 10+ dB louder than the mains (which is what I prefer), then go with 110 Hz. It all depends upon how loud you plan to push the system and how much bass you plan to run 😎👍🏾

      Hello mate,
      So let's try to solve this issue.
      1. Are you connecting your controller directly to your Subwoofer or is there an external mixer between your sub and your DJ controller?
      2. What level are your trims or gains set at?
      3. Is the button for the Xover pressed in or out at the back of your subwoofer?
      4. What level is the volume for your DJ controller at when the red light started blinking at the back of your Subwoofer?
      Let me know the answers to these questions, then we can dig further into this issue.

      Hello mate. I have listened to the RCF 708-AS ii and I can confirm it is a powerful and punchy subwoofer which is way better than the Behringer B1800XP cos the Behringer would clip before the RCF and the RCF can has a higher "headroom".
      Unfortunately, I can't make a comparison of either subs cos I don't have the Behringer subwoofer anymore and I'm not planning to buy the RCF 708 anytime soon. However as I said above, the RCF 708 has "better punch" and it's more powerful than the Behringer B1800XP.
