Making a Barn Birdhouse

Day 3 of daily videos and we have a barn style birdhouse. This is my first ever birdhouse and man does it look great. That white and rustic red look amazing together with the rusty metal roof. I notice in one of the comments, you respond that your birdhouse is more for decoration than for functionality. Glad you recognize this, as a tin roof, which has great rustic appeal, will, in hot summer months, broil the chicks inside. Also, cleanout was mentioned, which is a valid point. Likewise, ventilation holes must be provided for a viable abode for birds. Otherwise, good building technique ...

- Nice job. Love the time you put in to making it look nice but how will you clean it. They become very dirty inside after a year or two. You could make another one (tee tee) & the rough edges around the opening could be somewhat of an irritant. Love the idea & finished product, though. Thanx 4 sharing.

Great video, but did you think about that birds will not be able to get out because the plywood is to slipery.
I was thought that bird house needs to be out of rough lumber.

I don’t know about that either but the inside side it not as clean and nice as the painted side. That plywood usually has a good side and a rougher one

That glue is the best the cow has broken off now but it limb fell on it and the wooden cow broke the legs are still glued on
