So satisfying that the owner can go back and watch this video and see the quality and craftsmanship on his install...much respect guys...y'all on another level
Christopher Jefferson I hope he thinks so, thank you.
Started watching these recently and they are very informative and fun to watch. Y'all don't do nothin crazy, just normal dudes doing what you enjoy and having a good time with it. Keep up the good work!
Evin Sprague thank you very much.
Dude....you two freakin rock! I never realized how much work goes into installation. I use to feel that I paid so much for the equipment and I would get the cheapest installation. Not any more...thanks to you guys.
GREAT VIDEO!! I forgot that you guys made a video. This is my truck and I can say that it sounds incredible and the install is beyond professional. I am VERY VERY VERY happy!!!!!
To clarify a few things:
Their disclaimer at 11:05 - yes, they recommended Fast Rings and DynaMat... I cheaped out on that... my bad.
Mix n match system - again, my choice to save a few bucks. I was given 3 choices:
1. Higher dollar swap out (basically the same system except sub in: HSK 165.4, Alpine PDX-V9, Fast Rings, DynaMat, etc...)
2. Save a few hundred and you see what I got.
3. For even less, keep the factory headunit with a DQ-61 and basically the rest of my system.
I kind of regret not going with option #1... but my system sounds AWESOME so I am not losing sleep. I sold my factory JBL system complete for $800+ online and got a $150 Pioneer rebate which would have way more than offset the extra $$$ in option #1. If only I could have a do over.
Last thing... the dark gray install kit that goes around the headunit was all that they had in stock that day. A few days later Dean swapped in the brushed carbon metallic trim to match the dash in my Tundra 1794.
This is the 3rd vehicle that Dean has put a system in for me. I had no idea how much work he puts in that can't even be seen when your button up the dash and install the seats. WOW. I wouldn't use anyone else. Did I say that I was happy with this system?
Eric B thank you so very much Eric. Thank you for sharing also, that was great. I'm glad you are loving it. 👍🏻
Eric B how much did everything run you?
Could you send links of the stuff that was installed? I’m about to put a system in my tundra
I just got a 2020 tundra crewmax that I want to have a new system put in. These guys really take their time and do the job right. I wish these guys could do an install for me.
Good for you. It's a process, man; you want everything, but sometimes it's hard to say goodbye to the cash. We have all been there at some point... typically after marriage. 😆
Dean anytime you wire an amplifier or stereo harness its magical what you can do love watching you wire anything up and Fernando he's the same way with door speakers love the vlogs
After wks & wks of research went w/
Pioneer AVH-x491 & GM-D8604
Rockford Fosgate component spks.
Thx for the vids.

Soo refreshing and relaxing to see someone use two mixed car audio brands together
Automotive Guru yes but it does push my OCD to the limits. 😀
Best work I've seen. I had no idea you guys were in Clearwater! Literally 30min from me. I'll be seeing you guys in the near future
Philippe Strapko thank you. Make sure you tell Paul you saw us on CZcams
You guys are AMAZING!!!! Thank You Soooooo Much for sharing all this content.
Awesome video, awesome work. Great channel.
Trapperjohn1000 thank you very much.
Finally! A Tundra video! I really enjoy your videos and the excursions to Disney!
My Tundra has an old school Alpine double DIN touch screen, navi, SiriusXM, DVD, Alpine Audyssey Imprint DSP - GPS no longer works - want a new ILX107!
Boston components (no longer made) on all 4 doors- Rockford P3 shallow mount 12, Punch 300 watt on the sub, Punch 400 watt on the highs-
Now waiting for an old school Pathfinder/QX4 or '13-'18 body style Avalon video-
1999 Nissan Pathfinder has nice old school Alpine single DIN and Audio Control preamp/equalizer, legendery old school Alpine V757 on 2 Rockford 10's in a sealed boc, a newer Alpine 4-channel on Boston Rally 57's on all 4 doors (over 20 years old) and Polk Audio tweeters on the front doors-
Avalon is still stock because I haven't seen a dash kit I like- might leave factory head unit and improve all else-
Considering a 12-14 hour road trip to get you guys to do it for me.
Your work is top notch. Dean's explanations are great. Fernando doesn't talk much, but does great work.
Super clean install..nice job guys!
Adam Geggatt thank you Adam
Very clean work. Now I'm skeptical to try anyone else, if I do I hope they do a clean job like you guys did. Very satisfying for a guy with OCD. Lol
That Tundra looks really clean. I'm sure clean vehicles make your life as an installer better.
I wish you guys were in vegas, I'd have you do that to my Tundra. Good video as always fellas.
Love the install videos keep it up! I learn cool tricks every time
pieters08 we will, thank you

Very nice work, quality and attention to detail was great here. Its hard to find quality stereo guys now.
bryanviper thank you
I love the work you guys do. I also have a Tundra (2018 Platinum) with the JBL system. Ive watched the Tundra videos you guys have done and am ready to take the plunge. Do you sell any of the custom brackets you made, and I’m sure have templated? I am especially interested in the ones used in your Focal 3 way install video. Arizona is a long way to drive to have you guys do the work😂. Ive been following you for about 4 years now and as a commercial instrumentation and automation integrator in my job its nice to see someone else take pride in their workmanship. Ive already learned a few tricks from you guys to make my install go smoother. Thanks again for the videos and humor…
Just discovering this video, you guys are amaaaaaazing wow
These cats are the best installers on the Trons. Keep it rollin fellas...
About to buy a Tundra. Throwback
Super clean install as always !!
KlipnotiK thank you
I think I'm going to get a torch and heat shrink tubing and sleeve every cable in my house lol, looks so cool.

The installed was amazing , same as the chosen truck . Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge . Love the fuse bracket and amp board.
TTacoma thank you, they do look nice:)

Awesome work as always
I like the abs y'all use to make the car more stelf on. wires and all
junito413baby thank you
Awesome video quality work 2 thumbs up
The best install I've ever seen. Even taped the dash. Nice job where are you located. I want mine done
Great install and video.. I'm interested in doing same to my Tundra. What's ball park figure for same install on my tundra? The JBL system in Tundras is weak.
Very nice work, awesome video.
George Kormos thank you
Looks like the same sub and box as my Tundra. Was on sale for $500 including a 300 watt Punch amp. Then I printed a $100 coupon from Rockford's website. So, $400 for a Punch 300 watt amp, a really pretty sealed box, and a P3 shallow 12!
I would love this set up
great content as always!
Ivan Zamora thank you!
I love these types of installs. More videos of this pls :D
Pontus Ostling thank you. There coming! Time!
My favorite channel
Thank you
HEY I LIKE YOUR COOL VIDO YOU GUYS ROCK WITH ALL THE COOL STUFF YOU HAVE IN YOUR SHOP
Beautiful stock like work👍
Hey what’s the name of the black piece you used to screw on side of plastic for the amps to cover wires it gave me a idea to mount my lc6 that’s under my seat. Thanks in advance
Great video, I would like to know If I can run this system in my truck without upgrading the speakers, I have a 2019 Toya Tundra 1794, w/JBL SYS, thanks.
I have a 2018 tundra is there harnesses or a way to retain the turn by turn navigation and audio screen on the information cluster in front of the driver (not sure what that area is called) where gages and speedometer is?
Nice work. I just had a shop upgrade my jbl system in a Tundra also and they put the amp under the front passenger over the outlet of the floor AC vent. It looks like this amp is doing the same, Did this amp block the floor vent?
Thanks for giving us tips nice install
gilbert reyna you bet, thanks for watching
Whats the model number of that pre loaded sub enclosure you put behind the rear seats? Did you have to remove the plastic padding for the sub box to fit?
Hey new to your channel. But I was wondering. What are those strips with the holes in the middle that you use to mount the speaker/tweeters in the dash area. Going to do install on my own car soon just wanna grab all these small things I want to integrate into my car and install
thanks for the video guys I love them
The Beige Wonder thank you for watching!
My 2018 came with jbl and it doesn’t compare with the jbl on my tacoma, do you know if there’s a software update for Toyota jbl stereos or they are just weak from factory
Do you guys have a video on how to add a sub and amp to to tundra crew max with jbl audio installed already
Are the door and dash speakers sharing the front channels? Or is the 3-1/2s coming from the head unit? I have the same setup in my Challenger, but with JL C-2 and a JL RD400 amp. I'm not getting any middle bass at all.. Rear channels 6-1/2, front channels 6×9, 3-1/2
Great work guys, I really enjoy your videos and the attention to detail you put in your installs. In the video you said that the amp is powering the front door speakers and the 3.5" in the dash. What is powering the rear door speakers?
+Anthony R thank you. We are using a small Alpine brick amp 445u for the rear speakers
another great video
newls1 thank you
Nice video excellent job guys 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Salvador Saldana thank you!
Awesome time lapse!
Austin Dillard I wish we could move this fast in real life
I realize this is 3 yrs old but I have a Tundra (non-jbl).. How did you fit the 6x9's in the door? The mounting depth is over 3". Even with the adapter the back of the speaker would hit the window when down, or at the least smash against the back of the door panel.. No?
Tesa tape all the things. Love that stuff
they installed a new radio and 5 channels amp, how did they connect the center dash speaker or was this eliminated?
Great, do you guys mail vehicle equipment if order out of state
Any info on where to plug the USB TY2? I have a 2012 Avalon and I cannot find where to plug it to retain my factory USB
I just need to put a 4-channel amplifier for the doors that I need?
Guys, I'm ready to install my Kenwood 9904s and was wondering where do you install microphone? I would appreciate for any input to help me out. Is it possible to install at OEM location or must be installed somewhere else. I hope you can install it at factory location. Please let me asap so I'm ready to do my installation.
Thank you so much in advance!
Regards!
Great stuff I may drive from Orlando to Clearwater just to get guys to install a carplay system in my 2017 Camry :-)
khalid zaoui we just did a 17 Highlander today. Turned out great, give Paul a call 7272166170
Five Star Car Stereo I will thanks 👍🏻
How much was this total install? I may have you do this to my 2010 Platinum Tundra.
How did you install the dash speakers ? I try the same speakers but do not fit
I've got a 2007 Tundra double cab.
Im purchasing my system in parts.... so I don't spend SO MUCH CASH at one time.
I've got a Kenwood DDX6906S, an old school Alpine MRD-F752.
Spec on the amp,
4x75 into 4 ohms @ 0.08% THD
4X100 into 2 ohms @ 0.3% THD
SUB,
250X1 into 4 ohms @ 0.3% THD
I just can't decide on my speakers. The Focal and Audio Frog, are my two lead contenders. Ive been thinking about using the Audio Frog GS10, GS40 in a custom pod on my windshield pillar. The GS690 in the front doors. These would all be active crossover.
The problem with this setup for me is Audio Frog doesn't have a shallow mount sub. (At least to my knowledge they don't).
My second idea was to use Focal PS 165 FXE
Performance Series 6-1/2" bi-amplified component speaker systems in the door.
And use this under the rear seat.
Focal P 20 FSE
Flax Evo Series shallow-mount 8" 4-ohm component subwoofer.
The only problem I see with this: is that I've only got 3.5 inches of depth for the sub. That only leaves 1/2" of space between the magnet and the bottom of the enclosure.
Or my last and least favorite of the 3 choices is to use the Kenwood Excelon KFC-XP184C
Excelon Series 7" component speaker system
And possibly build a custom enclosure with two 6.5 Subs in approximately 1.5 cubic ft of air space.
What would you guys do?
How did you wire the dash tweeters. Did the center channel just get wired with the right or left or was it something else?
so this is all just coaxial speakers? no separates? why no footage of the sub install?
Échale ganas Nando saludos carnal 💯...
Both vehicles have Optima Yellow Top batteries. The Pathfinder has a huge cap. I guess a second battery has taken the place of big capacitors these days.
Thats a clean install!!!!!!
Guido T thank you very much
great video as always.but left me with bunch of questions. you added tweeters to the doors and used 3'' on the dash as tweeters like the factory? (thats alot of tweet) what frequency is the cut off on the bass blocker and what frequency did you set the crossover on the amp for the 3"?are those 6×9 components with inline cossover? I noticed you added a relay with the pac harness. what are you using the relay for?
chitwnkrz in this truck it had a factory JBL 3 way set up front. Mid in dash, tweeters in the door, and 6x9 mid bass in door the also. The customer is a balls to the wall Rocker and wanted it super load. There for we did the 3.5 in the dash crossed over around 300. The tweeters had there crossovers. The 6x9 were crossed over around 80. Then we use the gains to adjust the volume off set. The dash and tweets were on channels 1/2 and 6x9 on 3/4. It was Bright but balanced.
The box on the PAC harness was a 12 to 6 volt converter for the backup camera. The PAC harness does have a micro relay on it for powering up accessories. I think I got them all let me know if I missed something:)
Hey, guys i have 2018 toyota highlander se awd i want to change front and rear speaker plus the two dash speaker but dnt know how to rewire the front dash bcoz it has 4 wires attach to it. Also i want sudwoofer but not too big maybe 10" only just to add some base any idea hiw to do it. Thank you so much.
Buenas Fernando ...una pregunta ...que es eso o como se llama esa base donde arman los amplificadores. gracias y saludos desde La Paz - Bolivia
awesome video! I installed an AVH-X2800BS into a 2005 Toyota Sequoia using the PAC rp4.2-ty11 and my steering wheel controls still don't work.
other than the dip switches and plugging it into the correct place on the back of the receiver, what could be the problem? any ideas?
Greg Smith you many need to manually input them. Use the small button on the side of the unit.
Really nice install
Ibrahim Alghamdi thank you
Good work gentleman
Kevin Braithwaite thank you Kevin
I DO HAVE A NICE DUAL AMFM CDAND DVD PLAYER WITH THE VERY THING ON IT BUT I NEED A KIT FOR IT WISH I COULD PUT THAT IN BUT DONT KNOW HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST
Another amazing professional installation! Wish you guys are in Los Angeles. Do you recommend using the Maestro RR instead of the PAC harness? planning to do my 06 Toyota 4runner soon.
John Pham for the Toyota yes the harness is a little easier
What kind of system would you guys recommend that does not have distortion or speakers that fart mine when turned up sound horrible and i want the best quality same vehicle I live in Clearwater
I've been looking for a Hertz T-shirt all over. Do you sell them?
Where can I purchase all the harnesses for my 2018 toyota tundra?
Nice clean work. My only question is why don't you crimp your ferrules?
As usual you guys did another super clean install. Thanks for sharing it with us. It looked like you slid a tip on the amp hot wire but did not crimp or solder it, did you just edit out the crimp/soldering step or is that a tip that is friction fit?
yes....I was noticing this too.
Where can I find those adapters?!?!?
Tim datoolman it is a wire ferrule. It is a sleeve that goes over the wire. It keeps all the wire together so when you screw down the wire it does not separate. The heat shrink is just to hold it in place and look cool. I'm guessing there is going to be a video on these next week.
Justin Murphy we are going to do a rush video next week with all the information on them. Thank you for asking
Five Star Car Stereo good job, very professional, where are u located? I would like to improve my truck sound system, I have a tundra too...
What were the dimensions of that subwoofer box? And what sub?
I bought a toyota trd pro 2021, sound is mediocre at best, any way to improve it without changing the stereo, i want to keep it original
