Wake up early in the morning n start my day with 5star.on the daily.
Man the attention to detail. The de pinning. The clean harness work. You guys work is amazing. I love how you guys make aftermarket be factory it truly is amazing what you guys do
I am so addicted to this show. I'm a newbie to the car audio addiction and I've learned so much in just the 2 months that I've been watching! Keep up the good work Dean and Fernando, you guys are my heroes
I have been enjoying the full builds lately. Thanks very much.
I had this done for my Tundra this past year, couldn't be happier. For fellow Tundra owners: do not try and retain anything from factory when upgrading, like head unit , amp, any of the speakers. I see on some forums people want retain this or that, just don't, its crap!. Toyota screwed up putting crap in a 50k truck. Hopefully, with the new generation Tundra coming next year that gets fixed.
what did you end up paying for a set up like this?
Yep gutted my entire jbl system after first week . Deck , doors speakers and sub/amp got tossed out. I did leave my dash and center speaker. I didn’t mind the sound from them
Out of curiosity, how much did you end up paying?
@@ornaldov2630you’re looking at about 3500 for components and then installing.
Love the install, and love the removal of all the wires that aren't needed. Really cleans up the install.
Great video as always. True car audio channel out there
Long videos BUT. Great info and that’s why we watch. You are a detail pro.
Very Awesome ... Professional job ... thanks D&F .. love to watch your videos
another great build........do those amps need room for air curculation or can u put them behind the carpet in the trunk..?..
Applying deadener looks sso easy when Fernando does it fast forward lol!
you put the roadkiller up to the metra adaptor i think the older videos you put first the roadkiiler and then the adaptor
its ok with both ways???
Amazing work, you wouldn't happen to sell the prefab amp mount by itself would you?
Great video, what brand and model is the radio bezel? Thanks!
When you do this. What happens to all the settings controls that you have for the power locks and lights and remote feedback noise etc. Curious.
Can you please do build for a 5 series BMW active hybrid what subwoofer fits under the front seat and sounds the best what is the best Amplifier to use in this vehicle
Hi been looking at youtube for something I didn't quite remember what but for some reason your video popped up on me where your working on a tundra before this video and it captures my eyes because I bought a tundra a week ago and I love it so much I've always wanted one now god grants me the privilege to own one but apart from all that said maaan your so neat at what you do I really really really love how you work man. but started watching a few video so far not all of them as yet but ill get there soon .what I don't see you do in the videos that I watch so far I don't hear where you located cause I would really find your shop to make you do my music if your 2 state away from me not saying you don't but as I say the ones I watch so far but what you can do when your starting a new video just introduce where your located cause maan you get new subscribers everyday like myself you work emasculate man I sooooo love it your the best I see so far your job is a factory job some day some car company might sign you trust me
I’m new to all this why is there two amplifiers can you get away with one? Or is it because there are more than 4 channels? Thank you for the awesome video I’m learning a lot
Great video 👍
I have a 2021 Tundra. Been looking at swapping the factory speakers but leaving the factory head unit alone. Just a basic speaker swap (non JBL stock radio). What do you recommend?
Hi, sorry to go off topic but wasn't sure where I could ask you this: i have a 2012 sequoia with factory rear seat DVD. I had an 08 sequoia with the same and there was a retention harness that allowed the audio and video to be ported to the aux input of the stereo i was using. Tried using that harness on the 2012 and the audio doesn't come through. Would you happen to know of a harness that would work on the 2012 to port the video to the headunit? The one for the 2008-2010 sequoia/tundra is from axxess and it's called the toysav. Thanks in advance!
If you have the JBL configuration what different you need to do to bypass the OEM amp and install 2 amps like in your video?
The reason you need grills for the rhino box is because there’s not a recess for the threaded bolt sticking out of motor window or the factory jbl sub mounts
If you have the JBL amp what different what else you need to do? Many installers don’t have an answer
I run into this problem
curious about what that total package was worth.. I am waiting for my 22 tundra..I hear they improved the jbl system but dont really believe that
Funny how in part 3 you called the CCU the air conditioner. But then in popped in my head, people down south don't need a heater (even though its standard on all cars). Up here in the north we use both the air con and heat, so some people call it a Climate Control Unit or CCU for short.
What video can I watch to learn more about Bi-amping; Bi- Wiring or By passing crossovers I guess I missed where Dean was going to talk about Bi-Amping or Bi Wiring for the T-2's.
Artist at work..what was cost for something like this? Where is your shop?
First! Lol literally just got finished watching the Silverado video 🤘🏾
How much total was this full upgrade? I would like to do this to my 2021 Tundra Crewmax.
How much was cost of entire system. Great video
Awesome
I’m really curious on how much something like this costs? I have a tundra looking to get some work done. Actually just the door speaker part. Wanna add same speakers from this video with a jlaudio 4ch amp
I have a Tundra also, and would like to know what that exact system would cost including install?
Hope you guys get a Ridgeline in so I could do mine soon
How much is the sub amp really rated for? Those subs are rated at 400 wrms each...the amp is rated at 750 wrms x1 at 1 or 2 ohms. Underpowered?
Any concern with the passenger seat airbag going off if you leave the seat back the way you do while your testing wires on the factory amp under the seat?
You just disconnect the yellow wire from the yellow connector under the seat and there is no problem. In the Tundra's you know you are dealing with air bags when you see yellow. All of the wires and connectors that have anything to do with the air bags will be bright yellow. Nothing else is yellow.
ONE DAY!! please come to Saskatchewan. its only -40. 😂
about how much was the set up with installation?
This is the most complicated thing I've ever seen. You guys make a great team good work.
The thing is that the wires at the amp that connect to the tweeters up in the dash and the center channel as well as the rear door tweeters should not be used to connect any speakers to an amp. They are there as high level inputs for the stock amplifier and the only wires there that can be used for hooking up to an amp are the wires running to the doors. The tweeters and center channel are driven by the head unit and will still be wired into the new head unit as it is plug and play. If you want a center channel and tweeters wired into the stock wiring that is fine just don't hook the wires up to any amp and they will run off the head unit just like they do in the stock configuration. If you want to use an external amp for the tweeters and center channel then you need to disconnect them from the harness at the radio so you aren't feeding the power from the amp to the radio. If you are keeping the stock head unit but putting in after market amplifier(s) you can use those wires coming from the tweeters as high level inputs like they are in the stock configuration as they are full range and there are four channels, front back and left right.
Hey guys. Have you done any upgrades to a 2019 Rav4 yet ?? Keep up the great work... awesome jobs you guys are teaching 👏
I need a job done like this on my tundra 2020, where yall located?
No Road kill on the rear doors?
Why not deaden the back doors? Just curious...
I was looking for a reply on this too haha
How much would this cost? Looking at getting it done in my tundra
Why are you so down on the factory radio? Mine works great!
I look at my jerry-rigged setup, then watch this video and cry lol.
should have brought my tundy to you guys. my speakers intermittently cut out left or right, have to turn the volume up for both sides to work evenly. about a year old the entire setup. one shallow 12” jbl woofer. foksakes man. over 3K and it dont work properly.
how I can find a professional installer like this in Maryland
Where can I get those notes ¡
How much was this install including all the audio pieces and sound damping ?
You know the old..." If you have to ask you probably can't afford it"!
I really wish I paid you guys the 3400 dollars I paid another shop to get something similar done on my Tundra (minus amps). My wire harness on for my DNR1007XR is a mess
What do you do about the center dash speaker?
This only becomes a problem if you are using the wires that are in the harness for the stock amp to hook up to an aftermarket amp as speaker wires. They do hook to the tweeters and center channel but they are not speaker wires. They are high level inputs for the stock amp to run the drivers in the doors. The stock set up uses the power from the head unit to drive those speakers and the separate amp only drives the four door speakers so if you use those wires to drive the tweeters from an aftermarket amp you will feeding the power from the amp back into the radio because the harnesses are plug and play. So if you want to use those wires to drive the tweeters from an aftermarket amp you need to disconnect the wires from the harness at the head unit and every thing will work fine.
I’m sorry if I missed it but is there a approximate cost for this install?
15k
@@pawg206you full of crap
About how much does a job like this cost?
Would consider shipping my vehicles to these chaps to provide me decent sounds.
Ya woid on metal that wont rattle at all
Wow , how much cost all that , installation and speaker and all that ! thank you guys
I just did a complete custom system install in my Tundra and it cost about four grand. I used completely different components and took things to a higher level then they did in this video and I did everything myself. So the labor didn't cost me anything but if I where paying someone to do the install I would expect to pay an additional twenty five hundred bucks at minimum. But that is for the level install that I did. For the system that they installed here and guessing at there fee I would think somewhere in the three thousand dollar range would be a good ball park figure. You can price the components on line easy enough.
@@iamjackalope thank you ! I did already my audio system, had a 2014 Toyota tundra sr5
so I did Sony head Unit , 2 amp kicker ( 1200 class d, and also 1000 for doors speakers )
2 12s shallow kickers , doors infinity Kappa 2 sets 6x9 , twitters infinity in the front and dash also infinity! $3700 dollar in material , and labor I pay $750 dollar. For all components I mentioned, so I guess I got a good deal
@@84blingbling So how does it sound?
@@iamjackalope nothing crazy , but very crispy clear !!! That’s how I like it …. Not much bass not much voice just enough!!! I think is one of the best systems I have ever !!!
Why can't they get it right from factory? The upgrade is inevitable but.
They build cars, not stereo’s
$6000 later
I’d LOVE to do that to my Tundra…. Omg!….. how much?? $$$
