Lyrics:
Hey, it's good to be back home again
Sometimes this old farm
Feels like a long lost friend
Yes, and hey, it's good to be back home again
#JohnDenver #BackHomeAgain #TheWildlifeConcert - Hudba
I fell in love with this song back in 1974 when I was pregnant with our first daughter. My husband was a truck driver and we lived, briefly, in Colorado. My husband of 43 years has now been gone for 3 years and that daughter is now going to be 44 years old. This song still brings tears to my eyes when I hear it.
These are wonderful memories never lose them they will keep going on in life and sorry for your loss
God bless...
Just had to say hello -- we have a bit in common. I'm sorry to hear that you lost your husband and I hope your years together were wonderful. My son was born in April 1974 and will turn 46 in a couple of day. My second husband -- not my son's dad -- passed away in 2016 and I can't believe it'll be 4 years. 2020 would have been our 35th anniversary and the song we danced to at our wedding was "Annie's Song". All my best wishes to you.
Blessings!
God Bless You. I hope your years together were wonderful.
As a truck driver sitting in his sleeper on the road hundreds of miles from home as I watch this video, this song really hits home. No pun intended.
God Bless You Safe Travels my friend. My dad was a truck over the road for Yellow & Roadway before they merged
I can feel you buddy....👍
Like l. John Denver's songs
Enjoyed also some shots. Of audience enjoying his. Singing and singing. Along.
I hear ya driver.
You keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down. Your nose between the ditches and the smokie out of your britches. May the Good Lord take a liking to you, but not so much he calls you home.
This is when Music was music. Not the crap they push off on us today. No special effects, No booming base.. Just Pure Talent. RIP my old friend >

I had joined the Air Force in 1979 and after basic training and tech school, I boarded a Greyhound bus all of 19 years old feeling proud and strong all decked out in my dress blues.. As we passed the fallow winter fields and pine trees along the way on that cold gray winter afternoon, I remember staring out the bus window somewhere around Aiken SC and began to hum 'Home Again' to myself. To my surprise and delight, the elderly lady seated next to me began to sing the words. I turned and smiled and she said "I'm on my way home too, and yes it does feel good". That was 41 years ago and it seems like yesterday.
That is an awesome story...
Great story. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for your service.
Beautiful story, thank-you for your service to our country.

This started playing over the speakers in the supermarket today and I had to fight back tears. Hearing John sing is like going back home. Over twenty years later his music still resonates with millions of us.

Dear John, all your songs are like long lost friends since you’ve been gone…played this and so many others over and over so many times when I need to remember the way it used to be, when I need comforted remembering simpler, happy times with my late husband….these songs will never lose their magic and healing power. Your gift came straight from God…and I miss those days more and more everyday. Rest in Heaven, my friend and know we all miss and love you and your music so much. There will never be another John Denver. ❤️

In my previous post, I left out the part that I knew his football coach when he lived in Ft. Worth.

How i would have loved to have been at this concert, one of the sweetest voices I've ever heard
John Denver. Legend. Your music lives on. Thank you.
His songs really hit 'home'!
^..^~~
I lived in Aspen when John Denver was getting started. I was lucky enough to have been to several of his live performances. God bless you John Denver!❤❤
My Mom taught me to play guitar when I was a boy. We lived in a farming community in a big house with nine kids. This was the first song I ever learned and performed in front of my family. Many times my Mom and I would sit in our old house with a fire softly burning, and supper on our cast iron cook stove singing this song together while I played. It shall always serve as a reminder to what what a loving old soul my mother was. I will never ever forget those special moments we shared...this song was written for us. Rest in peace Mom and thank you John Denver for bringing us this special song.
Sweet storytelling 😊
I have been to 100's of concerts and I have never seen a more impressive singer than John Denver. His voice was perfect

I’m from Mexico but his voice brought tears to my eyes, just beautiful, the way he sang was just with all his heart and wanted you to feel what he was feeling, just perfect. I think I played it over 20 times consecutive and every time I cry.
I'm sure he would be happy that you appreciate from Mexico. He performed all over the world & was familiar with local cuso
Sorry this posted before I finished. Just to add that he performed all over the world & appreciated & respected different cultures.
NeoFobia,he was the best but I have to give credit to the roving bands in Mexico! I pushed tools down there for a while and married a girl from there! Maria was an angel and now she is an Angel!
I miss you so much, John.. love you always!
He was my favorite back in the 70s and I still love his music today. I still clearly remember when I was in college in the mid 70s, sitting in my little Fiat at my parent's house and playing a John Denver 8 track cassette over and over. No matter how bad your day was, he made it all good again. He was very special and is missed.
I'm with you. Sitting here alone at 12:30am 2022, listening to music from college days in the 70's. How I miss those days and him. All that's left is memories and his music.
I had several albums of John's when I was a teenager in the late 70s. I sang many of them to my first grandchild. Now I use them to soothe her and she is already addicted to his pure, sweet tones. Miss him much!!
Still my fav
… wonderfully said. Your last two sentences are words similar to my feelings 😊
What a compliment it must be to a singer like John Denver, when the audience sings his song back to him, they are relaxed, happy, and know every single word. We saw that brief expression of delight when they began singing. Can't buy that, it is priceless.
YES!!!
His voice was as genuine as could be. No auto tune malarkey.
There will never be another like him.

Thank you very much. 노래 번역 John Fogerty - Back Home Again Corean Lyric: 한국어 가사
There's a storm across the valley, clouds are rollin' in
The afternoon is heavy on your shoulders
There's a truck out on the four lane, a mile or more away
The whinin' of his wheels just makes it colder
He's an hour away from ridin' on your prayers up in the sky
And ten days on the road are barely gone
There's a fire softly burning; supper's on the stove
But it's the light in your eyes that makes him warm.
Hey, it's good to be back home again
Sometimes this old farm feels like a long lost friend
Yes, 'n, hey it's good to be back home again
There's all the news to tell him, how did you spend your time?
And what's the latest thing the neighbors say
And your mother called last friday, sunshine made her cry
And you felt the baby move just yesterday
Yes, 'n, hey it's good to be back home again, yes it is
Sometimes this old farm feels like a long lost friend
Yes, 'n, hey it's good to be back home again
And oh, the time that I can lay this tired old body down
And feel your fingers feather soft on me
The kisses that I live for, the love that lights my way
The happiness that livin' with you brings me
It's the sweetest thing I know of, just spending time with you
It's the little things that make a house a home
Like a fire softly burning and supper on the stove
The light in your eyes that makes me warm
Hey, it's good to be back home again
Sometimes this old farm feels like a long lost friend
Yes, 'n, hey it's good to be back home again
Hey, it's good to be back home again, you know it is
Sometimes this old farm feels like a long lost friend
Hey it's good to be back home again
I said hey it's good to be back home again

John Denver, "leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again"; ineffably poignant that in his life there would be a last plane from which he'd not be back (home to Earth country) again ... but upborne on angel wings ... . Rest in celestial sunshine on God's shoulder, Country Boy.

This song holds my favorite memories....raised on a cotton farm, this song makes me homesick for the days on that cotton farm. My childhood home. Years later, in the mid 90s, I would dance to this song with my husband in a little dive bar that didn't have a dance floor. We just danced. Daddy and the farm re years gone. My husband died three and a half years ago after 23 years of marriage. So, this song, which I love gave me great memories to carry in my heart forever....
